  1. What a lovely beach. So clean, well designed, and very safe. I loved walking along the promenade as there were separate lanes for cyclists and for people walking. Plenty of bins for people to get rid of rubbish.

The beach itself is great, you can either go on one side which is more pebbly or the other side is sandier. Either way it is well looked after and the lifeguards are visible, often out in the sea doing patrols. They use the flag system to let you know where it’s safer to swim which is good.

Plenty of places to eat and drink all the way along the seafront and fairly priced. Loads of parking nearby, some pay at the meter (or using Ringgo) and some free spots if you’re willing to venture further.

Atmosphere at the beach was very relaxed and there were lots of people having fun, as they should. It’s definitely a well respected and looked after beach.

Only thing I felt was missing was that you couldn’t go along the pier otherwise it was a thoroughly enjoyable trip.

  2. Lowestoft South Beach lies only a short walk away from both the rail station and the town centre.

It features a lengthy promenade with plenty of benches to watch the North Sea from.

You’ll find seafront businesses selling fish & chips, icecream, and hot drinks. And seaside essentials like buckets and spades and tiny windmills.

The beach itself is rather pebbly though has plenty of sandy areas to relax on.

  3. Beautiful beach, might just be my new favourite! Quite butbwith a few retardants and puns as well as beachy shops. Beautiful clean sea amd a lovely walk up along the beach leading into the town. If you walk right along the beach you will come across a pavilion, pub and then the town centre 😀. Fid you know that lowestoft is the most easterly point in the UK!! Great sunrise can be captured here 👌

  4. We choosed this for a beach volleyball and it was amazing. Sand by the huts have been so soft! It gets worse going closer to the sea, however, nice and sandy, quiet shallow way into the sea again. Some entertainments around. Car park right behind the huts. Toilets have been out of order but temporarily ones standing outside. Not too overcrowded even on a bank holiday.

Arrived during heatwave, site was very quiet. Well equipped pitch, albeit no drainage. Short walk to expansive quiet beach. Our hound loved it. Nothing to complain about.

This place is superb, everything you could ever need for a family camping trip, the facilities are superb, clean and well equipped, the pool was a welcome treat in the heat! The beach is a 5 min walk away and even though it is not a sandy one it is very nice and quiet for an evening walk. This was our first trip here but will not be our last

Second time of visiting with two pitches/families. The facilities are great and the ability to have a shower in an individual wet room really makes all the difference. All kept very clean. Pool is great with a waterslide and there are two pool tables and a bar. The whole site is very picturesque and I really have no complaints at all. Morrisons is nearby. Beach is lovely too. 100% bonafide!!!

A really lovely beach that is dog friendly all year. A few cafes and pubs nearby and the parking is reasonably priced. We really enjoyed our day there for a quiet time by the sea.

Easy access with a very long beach .
Be careful if heading along the beach towards Kessingland and keep away from the very unstable cliff face mainly of sand they are subject to a fall with no or very little warning ⚠️ so enjoy your walk but definitely keep your distance.

Beautiful golden sands and a few scattered pebbles strewn across the beach. Very long coastal beach walk from Lowestoft to Southwold but watch the tides in places. This coast is forever being reshaped by the tides and longshore drift. Stunning and love the sounds of the waves washing up to the shoreline.

Beautiful long strech of beach, dogs allowed all year round, lots of parking available. Coffee hut & pub nearby.

A lovely find. We enjoyed walking our dog here, mainly stoney but the dunes are sandy.
Free public car park at top of cliffs along with 2 pubs and a fish and chip shop.
Lovely grassy area with ample benches along cliff top.
I cant believe we’ve not discovered this gem before now!

I was here on Saturday 11/09/21 …. A little slice of heaven ❤ if you are happy to sit on a beach listening to the sound of the sea in a world of your own then this is wonderful beach. We were fortunate enough to have it all to ourselves for a long period of time (even at mid morning) we did access it via the steps, I believe I counted 100 in total so not great access for less able folk. Not sure if there is another way in for people? Worth every step down though, lovely piece of tranquility awaits you at the bottom 🥰

Beautiful beach, lots of different levels to walk through. Full of nature, we even found a glow bug one evening. This is my favourite beach and the kids love it too x

I posted a negative review in September, but the local council must have deleted it. Freedom of speech doesn’t seem to fashionable in these parts

Nice walk along concrete prom but prefer walking along the beach. Cafe at far end near sandunes and choice of 2 at the pier. Also loos at both ends too. Also there’s a long tarmac path/bike lane overlooking this.

Can’t believe Google is asking me to review beach huts, but I’ll give it a try.
They are a colourful addition to the promenade and beach areas. And they seem to be spreading South towards Pakefield. Definitely better than nothing at all.

Beautiful seafront that is really well kept, plenty of cafés nearby and public toilets. The beach is no dogs until 30th September but there’s plenty of dog friendly beach further down towards Pakefield.

Lovely beach to visit, town is a little rundown but if you find the right places you’ll ha e a great time
