Nice beach . It’s still early in the season and facilities are closed. The weather is starting to get nice, maybe summer will finally show its face. There is a ton of nearly kept trails, and the sunset / sunrise are gorgeous here on lake huron. I prefer the sunrises as there are very few people in the morning. Plenty of parking and benches to just sit and relax to enjoy the park. A note to dog owners, the beaches are off limits to them as the city has a bylaw in place, although I’ve seen a few people walking their dogs early on. My family and I made a brief stop last summer (Aug 2021) at this place to have a glimpse of famous clear bluish waters of Lake Huron. Everything I read about was true. It’s unfortunate we didn’t swim because of time constraints and weather (very sunny but cool & windy). Beautifully laid out park along the st Claire River. Concrete walking paths with great floral gardens, trees and fountains. Food trucks and restaurants nearby to make an evening or afternoon of it. It is well maintained, it is a pleasant place for a stroll at any time. Very nice place to walk and enjoy the river St Claire. The fries truck serves awesome fries. There are private pools open to all, can accommodate a group or family. Easy access to swim. The park nearby is good too. Quite calming.
This place are great for relaxing for me helps me to calm by looking the blue water under the bridge and bring some sandwiches and coffee.
They have park across this bridge.
Also good for jogging area around the blue water trail.
Entry point from Canada to the US State of Michigan. Great view from the bridge. Very long wait for the people in cars. One single lane dedicated to cars. Towards the US end it sub divides into approximately seven lanes for border clearance. Post this , it all depends upon your luck how much of traffic you may face. Going either ways, it’s exactly the same story.
At the same time the Officials manning the respective posts are extremely cordial while performing their checks.
Neat place and very good stop for my first trip into Canada. A lot of neat statues and things to look at related to the lake and our relationship with our ally to the north. Nice walks and views of the water.
Our favorite place to visit whenever we are in Port Huron. You can walk, bike, and walk your dog. Great place for fishing. The best part is watching the freighter go by.
