I am very glad that we have chosen that particular hotel. It is clean enough and also the price is reasonable. There is an breakfast included, but it is very simple. Moreover, the view from window is fantastic and the localization is great (2-3 minutes walk from the subway line F). Also there is air conditioning in rooms, so it is quite nice (especially during sweltering heats with such high humidity). Overall, I reccomend that hotel!By Wojciech Zawadzki (3 months ago)As someone who lives in the city some of the reviews are a bit over the top and exaggerated. Yes it’s a bit iffy but nothing out of the norm.
Bed was very comfy, staff were great, breakfast was pretty good, fitness center was surprisingly good just wish they had a barbell outside of that actually really great stay definitely don’t mind coming back here again. Check in and check out was quick and everything was quite. Some of the furniture were a bit rough and a bit stained but overall 8/10By Last Name First Name (6 months ago)My husband and I stayed here for about 5 days and we loved it. We had no problems with the place. The staff was great, the rooms were great, if you need something they come right away, there’s free breakfast everyday, and it’s in a very convenient location. Loved our stay and will definitely be coming back when we return to this areaBy Adalia DeJarnette (3 months ago)The view from our room was incredible! The staff was kind & helpful, which is quite unique in NYC. Breakfast was convenient although it is very crowded in the breakfast/elevator area. Rooms were clean and the location is very close to a metro station that will take you to Manhattan in just a few minutes. Great value!By Romy Coers (3 months ago)Great budget hotel with easy and quick access into Manhattan. The hotel reception were really polite and answered all my inquiries. We arrived early so they managed to get housekeeping to clean a room for us asap so we could check in a couple hours earlier at no charge. When we left they held on to our bags for 4 hours after check out at a cost of $1 a bag.Breakfast was not that good so we didn’t go more than once. While the breads, juices and fruits were good, the hot stuff was cold when we got to it. I think it’s just a matter of timing as the food trays are not heated so eggs, bacon and potatoes could cool down. However, if you were in a big group it’s a good way to save money.
The room was spacious. Bed was a bit soft for my liking but still comfy. There was a bit of a cool dampness but you can control heat inside which we used to make the air dryer. Only cleanliness issues we had was that there were hair trimmings (from shaving) from a previous guest around the sink counter and the sheets had markings (markers or pen). I suspect because they rushed to clean the room for our early check in, this was easily missed. The bathtub also could use some new grout as there appears to be some mold in the cracks but it wasn’t excessive. Water was always warm and pressure is sufficient.
Our room 511 had a small view of the nearby bridge and skyline and the neighbourhood was pretty quiet. One night guests were blaring their TV but it didn’t go past midnight so was okay.
In the end this hotel cost under $200USD a night and the location cannot be beat at that price. The neighborhood seems sketchy at first but in reality it was safe to come home at night and the subway was only 3 mins walk away. Also there’s a great Thai restaurant called the Buffs right around the corner.
I highly recommend this for a budget friendly option when visiting NYC.
Edited 2022/10/17 for typo. Mold WASN’T excessive.

Exceeded our expectations! The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was affordable, and clean, as were the bathroom and shower and the beds were comfortable. Not much smaller than an average hotel room, but who stays long in a hotel room while in NYC anyway! The location was outstanding, near everything NYC has to offer. Close to Penn station, buses and subways. The free 24/7 lemon infused ice water was a much needed and appreciated perk on some very hot days! Would definitely stay here again.By Mary Patterson (4 months ago)The hotel is perfectly lovely. In addition to providing the usual toiletries, they also had make-up wipes and a cosmetic kit. Room was clean and comfortable. Customer service was pleasant and warm.
Now the bell-hop, Ryan, was phenomenal. My friend had a bike rack on the back of her SUV that she didn’t know how to remove, and Ryan helped us remove it so we could load up the trunk easier. Thank you, Ryan!By Gina Richardson (4 months ago)I wanted to be sure to write a detailed review because this was my first time in Manhattan and also my first time traveling alone. Before my trip I searched through hotel reviews for hours before finally deciding on this Best Western on a gut feeling, and I’m so glad I made that decision. This hotel is clean, in a safe location (right in the Garment district in Midtown) and every person I spoke with at the front desk was kind, courteous, and helpful. I was here for an audition so I really didn’t get to do much sight-seeing, but It’s about a 9 minute walk from 8th ave, a 13 minute walk to Times Square, and a 12 minute walk to Rockefeller. There are tons of places to eat, convenience stores/pharmacies, and other shopping to do near by.
The price-point for this place is great— it was one of the cheaper options that I looked at in this area. I can’t speak about other rooms, but I booked a single King-bed and I won’t lie, the rooms are tiny.. Space is hard to come by in NYC. However, it was perfect spot as a place to rest and recoup and honestly, it was a great value for what I paid and what I needed it for. The blackout curtains in the room blocked out plenty of the city lights at night. The bathroom was a good size and the water pressure in the shower was perfect. If I was going to make ANY sort of complaint— the lighting in the bathroom was pretty dark and it would be great to have a mini-fridge, but that is being super nit-picky.
You should also just be aware that you WILL hear street noise at all hours of the day and night. That’s just the way the city is—especially in that area.
I will definitely book this place as my hotel for future trips. Hopefully this helps anyone else out traveling to the area for the first time!
By Aiden Poling (4 months ago)Stayed here for 5 nights in May 2022 with my partner. We booked on Booking.com and it was ~$1.4K for these 5 nights. This is pretty cheap for NYC apparently.Overall the hotel was a great base for our explorations in NYC. It’s located in a relatively touristy part of town but has great subway and walking connections to literally everything. Location is ideal.
Concierge was nice, our room was quite standard in size and layout. Personally think the hotel is a bit dated, but that’s fine at the price. However we were shocked to find a makeup stain on our bedding however. Concierge said that they’d sort it immediately and replace the sheet. When we came back up, room service had been and LEFT the sheet – didn’t even put it on!!! We found this to be very rude, however after complaining they did finally put it on. Note that the hotel is also maintaining a very silly COVID policy that means there’s no house keeping – this is clearly just to cut the costs but they make out its to do with health and safety. Totally ridiculous when no masks etc. We also ran out of toilet paper and this was never replaced after calling concierge.
We picked this hotel also on the promise of the gym. This was really rubbish and quite disappointing. The fitness centre is tiny (a single small room) and has some small weights, a cycling machine with a broken chair, an elliptical that is broken and a working treadmill. Very poor and don’t pick the hotel for the gym.
Bathroom was decent though with a good shower. Air conditioning was not super strong though so not sure how it will fare in July/August hot season.
Also would bear in mind that the walls are paper thin and there’s a lot of sound leakage. We were lucky that our neighbours weren’t noisy, though we were woken at one point by loud laughing/shouting and the doors closing etc.
Would probably look elsewhere if staying again, everything was just a bit mediocre and the lack of attentiveness of the staff wasn’t really acceptable.
By Matt Timmons-Brown (6 months ago)This Best Western is a hidden midtown gem. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming and Sergio runs the best bar this side of the Hudson. This man makes everyone feel welcome and treats everyone like family! Even if you are not a guest of the hotel, the bar and garden area is a lovely oasis in the midst of Midtown chaos.By coolie832 (5 months ago)

Wouldn’t stay here for more than 1 night. Nothing nearby for food or entertainment and the other reviewers weren’t kidding about the folks loitering outside the hotel. On the positive side: the room was clean, the front desk agent was nice, the bathroom was updated and the shower was doing with good water pressure, the mattress was comfortable, and the airport shuttle is convenient.By Jessica Swan (a year ago)The hotel is very clean and new but the immediate area is horrible. Right next to the school bus yard and trash truck yard. I was on the top floor #4 very noisy in the room I slept in. The room is clean. The bed very comfortable, pillows and sheet’s perfect. The front desk very good. The hotel required a $100.00 cleaning deposit I wasn’t aware of. Shuttle service good!By Paul “Dan” Haws (a year ago)I would give it 5 stars because everything went nice and smoothly. However, the rooms are SO SMALL! We got the king size bed and the pictures looked more spacious but it was so tiny! Also, anytime anyone opened or shut the door the whole room shifted a bit! But, altogether it wasn’t a bad stay!By Bianca Favored (a year ago)The lights in the rooms have some sort of sensor which is extremely annoying. I wouldn’t do long term stays, this hotel is strictly for 1 night maybe 2 if you’re desperate. On the plus side the rooms are very clean, they have great cable channels & the WiFi is good.By Lyn Stoner (a year ago)We stayed one night at the Best Western JFK. There was plenty of parking (a provided pass was supplied) and someone was at the register, waiting to help us upon arrival. Check-in was painless and the room was small, but comfortable and clean. It contained a king size bed and a jacuzzi tub. Luckily, the hotel wasn’t too busy because we could hear practically everything in the hallways with the door closed. My only complaints are that the door required a sufficient “push” in order to close it and the pillows gave us both a neck ache the next morning. Other than that, a very nice hotel.By Jason Dubar (4 years ago)

I recently stayed at Vista LIC for 8 nights. I had a very good experience and am glad I chose this hotel. It is only 4 short blocks (5 min walk) to an uncrowded subway station, and only 2 stops from Manhattan. I was traveling alone and felt very safe. The room was very quiet and clean, bed was super comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. Definitely pay the extra for a room with a view of Manhattan. It is well worth it- it looks like a postcard. I needed a fridge to store medication and they accommodated immediately. The rooftop bar and restaurant is super cool with amazing views. The room price is very reasonable and a great value. If you’re looking for a nice NYC hotel without paying the ridiculous Manhattan prices, this is the place for you.By Tina Skalski (5 months ago)Good, affordable hotel within a small handful of blocks to the R/W train. If you want to be closer to some better food options, I’d go a little more north toward the Broadway stop, but I liked how quick it was to Manhattan at this location. I used this as a simple resting place for me and my daughter for a quick trip to NYC. This is a great alternative to the high Manhattan prices, just a few stops from Central Park.
My only “complaints” were that the rooms had carpet, and I would have liked to have had a mini-fridge, but it’s not necessary.
We were on the 3rd floor, so there wasn’t much of a view. No complaints when you leave before sunrise and get back after dark, though.
By Chris Gunn (a month ago)Great location (presuming you want to be in LIC/Astoria/Queens – this is NOT Manhattan & perhaps not as “close” as you might be hoping for) in a safe area with plenty of dining, coffee, going for a walk, etc. options. There is convenient access to subways that provide a reasonably quick and easy trip into the city.Rooms are fine (formerly a Sheraton 4 Points); textbook 2.5 star, except for lacking some pretty standard stuff – no Kleenex, fridge, micro – mine was good sized for nyc and had an older, but comfortable lounge chair. AC worked well although no “constant on” setting. Excellent, hot shower with good pressure. Friendly, decent housekeeping. Not particularly friendly or helpful front desk. Loud hallways, with a fair amount of staff/guest noise and slamming doors. Bed not bad, sheets a little scratchy & pillows a bit floppy. Still… fairly good value for the money overall, I’d say.
By Brett (2 months ago)This hotel isn’t great but also isn’t bad, it’s the definition of 3 stars.Positives:
Nice service
Clean
Pricing
Distance to Manhattan
Gym is small but can get the job doneNegatives:
Parking really limited (only like 6 cars can fit)
Missing basic things like mini fridge, tissue box and vending machines.
Sink was clogged for basically the whole visitOverall I’ve stayed in better hotels while visiting NYC but have also heard of worse. If you are tight on money this might be the right choice but overall I think you can find better.
By RMeNTV (4 months ago)Let me start by saying the staff was EXCELLENT and is by far the best thing about the property. The rooms are VERY small and without anything to put clothes in- the ironing board was falling apart- and the shower made an awful loud noise. There are only a couple of towels in the room and the lighting is very dim and slightly depressing. This is NOT a hotel to cram your family in.
Parking is slim- we were able to find a spot on the street however it is not far from a subway stop.By Kim Lopez (6 months ago)

Here is our list of the top 10 Best Western International Hotels in New York – based on expert opinions and customer reviews. Did your favorite spot make the cut? Let us know in the comments above!
They said the shuttle would come to the station. Called 3 times. No shuttle in sight.
No cups
No drinking water
No tea bags in the room
You ask for them? They tell you to come down to the lobby and then go to the 3rd floor.
At the front desk
There were a male and female. They exchanged sarcastic remarks against each other while talking to the guest who tried to check in. She also rebuked another staff member in front of the guest.
The lad at the front desk was extremely unprofessional. He spoke as if he was speaking cynically to his long time friend. I doubted my ears.
So tiring.
Unbelievable such a person is working for a hotel.
Next day, an assistant manager at the front desk. I asked for a hard copy proof of my stay.
I’ll email you he said. I never got it.
Will never ever use this hotel again. The worst service ever. The worst. Worse than 1 star motel.
Stayed here for one night after missing a connecting flight with United Airlines. It was nicely decorated and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. Good shower and towels also. Nice park across the street to walk in. Only negatives were that the pillows were not comfortable and we didn’t have any cups in our room. Also would love to see in room coffee. I would stay here again though and would stay again.
Great stay with no problems. The only issue I had was that the ice cream vending machine gave me a melted bar. I just took the loss. ??♀️
The rooms aren’t the best, but clean – my mattress was very worn in one place like someone broke it somehow. The sheets and bed were clean. The paint was peeling and the furniture in the bathroom was very water worn. With all that being said – the rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff friendly and willing to give extra items. There was a working safe, iron, and ironing board. Amazing view too! This is why I still give a 4.
A little information guide goes a long way for out of town guests – they didn’t have any information in the room.
The windows opened, which was good because my room smelled a bit smoky ? when I arrived. Nothing too abnormal compared with previous stays at other hotels.
I know people who stayed around me during my work conference had worse stays so I’m not complaining. As I said, no issues.
I don’t even know where to begin. Because of a delayed flight, this hotel was offered to us by United. Over the phone we were guaranteed two queen beds for our family of four with grown teens. It was two doubles. Not the same. After waiting over an hour for our dinner order to be ready—which was inedible—one of my kids noticed her sock was wet. The AC was leaking (sounding like an aquarium) all over the carpet, which was soaked. After complaining, we were moved to the presidential suite. This was supposed to be their nicest room. It was big, but not clean by any stretch of the imagination. Carpets were filthy and not vacuumed. Drapes were stained. They would only give us one roll away bed, leaving us with a king and a twin. They left sheets for us to make up the twin. That mattress was stained with what looked like blood and don’t know what else. No pillow. No blankets. When I went to pull back the sheets on the king bed, I discovered they were also filthy and had what looked like dried “bodily fluids”. If we could’ve found another hotel at what was now 1am, we would’ve left. They brought us fresh sheets, and we had to request that they come back and take the soiled sheets because we weren’t touching them. This, after a LONG day with an airline delay and no other flights, which was not the hotels fault, just sent us over the edge. Do NOT stay here!
Was stuck at airport for 14hr layover united airlines sent us here. The staff was very kind, helpful. They accepted our voucher no problem. Had a good night sleep sprawling out with my fiancé on the huge bed! Showers were decent water temp was just right! Thanks to the staff for putting us up for a night! I’d definitely come again!
