5 Replies to 10 Biggest Venues for Events and Meetings in Atlanta GA

  1. This place is massive! I attended the IPPE here and was amazed at the amount of people and vendors that were there. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes if you attend an event here as it can be a lot of walking.

  2. We went to a convention. I loved it but you only want to know about the convention center so here goes. This place is huge so put on your walking shoes. I noticed a couple of places to get food on our trek to our meeting space. There are lots of bathrooms. Everything i noticed seemed to be clean and in good repair. There were sufficient staff members to guide people to their desired locations. Would go again.

  3. I continue to be surprised by the size and magnitude of this Convention Center. This weekend we experienced girls volleyball tournament in the exhibit B and C halls. I was overwhelmed by the amount of volleyball courts (174 courts) in the building!! Great job hosting the Big South Qualifier Volleyball tournament!

  4. This is a functional convention center in the heart of downtown Atlanta. Giving a three stars because it’s solid but not spectacular and not bad at all.

On the positive side, it’s large but not too large. It’s adjacent to a sizable Omni hotel in the CNN center, which gives people something to do.

There are not many restaurants operational within this convention center. There might be a few in the CNN center, but aside from that there’s not a lot within a quick run if you don’t like the convention food.

The building is showing its age but I’m sure it looked much nicer when it was first built. I like that it has a progressive nod via gender neutral restrooms as an option. That’s progress for Georgia, although I’m reminded we’re in Atlanta.

  5. First easy access parked in the red deck walked up the stairs and bam there it was and so much more… Philips Arena Mercedes Benz stadium and the CNN center…. We were there for a basketball tournament……Inside the bldg we used the elevators and it was a little weird it doesn’t take you to the bottom /lower levels you have to get off and find a second elevator to take you on down…

We spent 4 nights at this location recently. The room was very comfortable. The queen beds didn’t seem like a standard queen, but a little smaller. They were still quite comfortable. The location was close to everything. We could be to shopping and restaurants within minutes. The staff was very accommodating. We had an issues where our keys were lost and the staff quickly deactivated them and issued new ones. The food options on site were a bit pricey. It would’ve been nice to have a complimentary breakfast considering the nightly rate. I wish there had been more affordable options. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

This hotel is just a solid place to stay. I’m giving it five stars because I went to the Battery Park area and spent a ton of money on mediocre drinks and food throughout the week. This hotel has a refrigerator by the front desk that they have stocked with the best food I’ve had. No joke. I had a Cobb salad that could feed two people and it was delicious!!! They had a chocolate cheesecake that was better than any dessert that I tried in this area. Normally I would not eat food out of a refrigerator hotel’s front desk. The food is surprisingly great! Everyone is super nice. I would definitely stay here again.

I recently stayed here for the Anjelah Johnson show and had a fantastic stay. Tia, at check-in, was fantastic! Upon arrival she greeted us warmly and notated our status with Marriott, but not in the common uncaring way where they just notate your status and move on. She truly made me feel valuable. She told us that they could help us by courtesy car to get to the venue without my even having to ask. What a wonderful asset to your team! Further, at the Elite lounge Karon was absolutely splendid. She made me wish we were spending more time at your venue. On top of that the rooms were clean and the view was wonderful. The final item I truly enjoyed was that you had stations where I could fill up my water bottle. That is always a main concern for me when I travel and I find I have to end up using plastic bottled water, so it was a treat that I didn’t have to worry about this item. Well done!

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. This web site will compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of my favorites in this area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure won’t be disappointed.

Surprised my husband with a stay-cation. This hotel was an excellent choice! Clean room that was a nice size. Bathroom was a little small but clean. The bed and pillows were so comfortable!! Beautiful hotel. Disappointed that the sauna was closed but would definitely stay again.

We stayed in a king suit and it was absolutely amazing! We had two bathrooms and a living room. Our son loved having his own bathroom and his own TV to control. We went to a Braves game and the walk over was not long and pleasant. The traffic getting out wasn’t bad either.

This would have been a 5 star review however, we called the front desk twice asking for extra blankets and pillows. After waiting about 2 hours, we went and got them ourself from the front desk. That was the only disappointment from our trip.

I have been to many and this convention center is as good as it gets! Brilliantly located nearly attached via short train ride to the busiest airport in the world. Pair that with two neighboring Marriott’s and all of the sudden many logistics in planning a convention disappear! (Hotel, airport travel, center)

We stayed at this hotel because we were in town for a concert at the Fox Theater. We walked from the hotel to meet friends for dinner and then walked to the Fox Theater and back to the hotel after the concert. The location was great!!!
Our experience at the hotel was flawless. It is a modern and well maintained upscale hotel. Our room appeared to be brand new or newly renovated and I have included photos with this review. All staff we encountered were genuinely friendly and professional.
We enjoyed the breakfast buffet the next morning and it is one of the best buffet breakfasts you will find anywhere. We would highly recommend this hotel!

Excellent location. Served us well as Jamaican citizens who ended up here after missing a connected flight. Front desk staff made us feel right at home. The rooms offer tea and water. A snack store is also in the lobby with many other shops nearby.

Always a great hotel to visit and have meetings – since our last visit, they have renovated guest rooms and they are a beauty, large walk in showers and hospitality beyond expectations. Handled our group and all our meeting and events needs without missing a beat – and oh the food!!! We never stopped eating. Just a great and productive week.

Super clean hotel, very nice staff! Comfy beds and great water pressure in the shower. Would definitely stay here again. Nice and safe area of Atlanta to be in as well. We walked around to the restaurants nearby and even to the aquarium from here. The only negative is that there isn’t a barrier between the tile of your room and the carpet outside….thus it leaves like an inch of open space beneath the door. You’ll be able to hear everything in the hallways. We just stuffed towels there to block out the sound and didn’t have any problems afterwards.

Nice size conference room with comfortable chairs. The dining was excellent and all the servers had the best customer service skills. Although I didn’t get photos of the food due to respect of the occasion. I must say there was a huge variety of healthy choices from the grill, Entree’s to salads and vegetables. It was a great 5 star experience.

It’s been a while since I attended an event at Cobb Galleria, but it’s always a good time. This time I went to a bridal show and found impressive wedding vendors. I think the wandering photo camper was the most fun though! Also, the concessions were a pleasant surprise.

Love it here! The whole scenery is gorg. The bridge walk is my favorite part, and I also love the long staircase and elevators that they have here too. Very nice place.

Beautiful foyer and atrium! The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and extremely comfortable. The service was excellent. The event viewing was spectacular. Not a bad seat in the house. The lobby set up for the coffee bars was right on time. I would love to return to this venue for future events and I recommend it anyone planning an event to book this place. It’s worth it.

The elevator from the Skyview to the Galleria is out of service and for a disabled person like myself it’s not acceptable. Thank God I have 2 strong young men with me to take me down the 4 flight of stairs. The Travel & Adventure Trade Show is very well organized and has plenty to see, so if you are available tomorrow 4/23/3022 you should definitely visit.

Stayed for first time to move in daughter to Emory. Hotel overall was nice buy not affiliated with any loyalty programs. Room and bathroom was clean and updated. One negative was very low water pressure for showers. This hotel apparently does not clean rooms day to day. Tried to call down to get some toiletries refreshed and got attitude from front desk staff. Has nice restaurant and bar inside hotel. Parking was clean and safe under hotel. Likely not going to return to this hotel on future visits to Emory due to poor staff service and lack of any loyalty program.

Visited Emory U. This hotel does a very nice job! Loved having 2 beds, would have loved 2 queens more. Great location and easy parking. Campus shuttle service avail. Breakfast buffet was nice . Hotel is upgrading. Our original room in the South wing was right in the middle of the construction. Dust was everywhere and 1 elevator is exclusive for construction. The conjoining door in our 1st room would not close. When I told management they moved us to the main building. The remodel/ update is very nice and will be great when completed.

My son and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was amazing! Every staff member we encountered was polite, helpful and beyond nice. We are dinner at the restaurant the first night, our food was great and our server Alexa was wonderful! Thank you everyone for making it a great stay!

Everyone here was so friendly and accommodating. The hotel restaurant food was very flavorful with great portions. Special shout-out to Gary L. for his quick, fun rides getting where we needed to go. Thank you guys so much, looking forward to staying here on our next trip!

I won’t stay again. Felt unsafe leaving the parking garage which isn’t attached to the hotel. Too dark and lonely late at night with no security in sight. Felt unsafe. Never did see security.

Too much walking with heavy bags. When I left the parking lot, I took a wrong turn. Called the front desk which sent me in the wrong direction and I became completely lost. Needed help from the hotel to get to lobby but it was clear it was my problem , not theirs. Thought I was having a heart attack and heat stroke on the street by myself late at night while the front desk couldn’t be bothered with me. I was exhausted by time I got to the room.

Then the stinking mildewed room was flaming hot. The air didn’t work until the engineer came to the room; he said air doesn’t work on high. Missing furniture in the room. No table or chair.

For the expensive price, the property doesn’t compare to the century center Marriott which I like better for less money. And parking at the Marriott is in front of the building thank goodness. If you’re elderly stay away from this facility

I need 10 stars. Fantastic array of everything beautiful, pieces to cherish, enjoy and pass down. Beautifully crafted furniture, one of a kind decor pieces, artistic works, linens, handmade jewelry. A collector’s paradise. Very talented vendors. Wonderful prices throughout. So much to see. Nice refreshment bar, clean restrooms. Put this spot on your list of places to check out.
