This is probably my favorite park in South Florida! There are endless options for a fun day with family (including dogs), or for a zen day on your own. Great walking paths, cool options for people on wheels (cars, bikes, skateboards, etc…). Awesome activity options with the rentals, sightseeing, fishing, the restaurant, affordable parking, and it’s across the street from the beach. It’s my favorite local getaway for a little bit of everything. If it’s not already clear from my review and the pictures from my adventures there, I’m a big fan.By Kesan Nedd (11 months ago)Beautiful park. We have only visited once but hope to return soon to try out our rollerblades. We took our paddles and enjoyed the small trail this park offers. We were the only ones on the water right after a downpour and that was nice. You will run into overgrown grass that is a small challenge to paddle but doable. We saw a variety of birds and a turtle. The parks employee was kind enough to ask in the parking lot if we would like any assistance and I heard him ask a set of older ladies if they wanted a ride to the beach they respectfully declined, that is something I have only seen in this state park. We will return soon to explore more of this beautiful park.By Craftaholic Anonymous (5 months ago)One of my favorite parks in Fort Lauderdale! Very easy to access and perfect place to connect with nature. It has plenty of areas to visit and explore. The park is super clean and there’s numerous activities to do around like kayaking, bicycling, fishing, picnicking, roller blading or just view the amazing wild life. I think they have camping options but I’m not sure how it works. Very reasonable prices, you only pay $6 dollars per car up to 8 passengers or $2 per person if you are not driving. They have plenty of parking spots and the best part is that the park is open every single day from 8am to sunset. It has beach access and the restaurant named Park and Ocean has the best burgers and drinks. I definitely recommend visiting this park any day of the week! 10/10.By Emma Montero (4 months ago)Love this park. I visited for the first time with my family on a normal Sunday. The line to get in was very long but not unbearable. It cost $6 to get in but parking is free. The person at the entrance gives you a map which I would recommend you keep because I left mine in the car and was quickly lost haha.
There’s a little trail you can walk down and apparently a beach but I couldn’t find it. There’s a kids playground but it’s more geared to older kids like 5-11. It’s a nice place to just walk around or have a picnic or just have an outdoor day.By Maria Sincere (a year ago)Loved walking this area! It’s a beautiful place and not for from the beach! They also have a restaurant in the middle to stop and get refreshed. Definitely alot of mosquitoes so bring the repellant and boots or sneakers if you’re going to walk the trail. Definitely will be back to take more pictures.By Charles Barnes (3 months ago)

Super nice experience! It was a beautiful trip on the boat around the river and going to the entrance of Port Everglades. It’s 1:30 hr trip with the super narrative of a ship personnel Natasha.
In the boat you got offer drinks, beer, soda and chips. Also the car parking is free. You need to ask for the ticket to get paid at the toll booth.
Nice trip … recommended!By Juan Pearrich (5 months ago)Treated my mom to this a few weeks back, and we had a great time! The boat ride on the way was very nice, and it was fun to see all the massive homes and yachts. The island was really neat; I went in with very little expectations, so was pleasantly surprised by all the animals… you really do feel like you’re in the jungle! I do not eat meat, and because I gave them a heads up I was able to have a vegetarian meal. My mom had the meat and said it was good but just needed a bit more flavour. The sides were very tasty. The entertainment was a bit lacklustre, but all around still good fun, and there was lots of dancing.By Elyse Alavie (6 months ago)Whenever family or friends visit south Florida the jungle queen is a must. 87 years in service , always fun and interesting. This year we went for New Years, given it’s outdoors. First time for me on New Years and so much fun. Everyone on board was out to have fun and all the waterfront parties on our trip made it especially fun to pass by . The dinner buffet of ribs and chicken was fantastic as always. Best ribs in the area if you like ” fall off the bone” . The do a show after dinner with a few acts to satisfy all the groups there then back on the boat returning to the starting point . They timed it perfect to be positioned in the main waterway at midnight so we can see all the fireworks . They did a perfect job on this New Years adventure.By Bryan Janney (a year ago)This was a great trip! Arlene the commentator was excellent. They had a good variety of drinks. Arrive early so you can get a front row seat!! They load 30 minutes before push off time. You will see lots of beautiful homes and big yachts 🛥 Would highly recommend.By Jason Price (7 months ago)The river cruise was really good. Out host/MC did a great job. The Christmas lights and decorations on the houses along the river were amazing! The food was good. The entertainment for the show could’ve been better. Highlight of the show was the fire dancer but the performance was quite short. I would opt for just the river cruise if I were to go again.By Kandice Henrikson (2 months ago)

This museum is lovely for children under twelve and over age one year old. This is a children’s museum for children and their parents who are there to supervise them. I paid for my ticket online before the doors opened for visitors. The best experience was the weather/news caster exhibit, otter living exhibit, the movie theater I watched a documentary that was included in my entrance ticket and one or two other exhibits. I did not visit the cafe or gift shop on site. As an adult this was very underwhelming for me.
There’s several outdoor spots for families to have lunch. I decided to go across the street to the beautiful open park. I sat under the pillars near the water fountain display and that gave me some vitamin d and a wonderful view of boats on the lake, people walking by and beautiful sky. I saw the taxi boats that tourists can pay to ride to different locations and restaurants. I will try when I visit fort Lauderdale again. There were public statues to take pics at, water fountains and restrooms. I didn’t get the name of the park but it is directly across the street from this museum and made a great place to eat lunch and think about my next place to visit.
Today was a very surprising impressive display of an array of exhibits at the museum. There’s was a lot to learn if one cares to regarding several disciplines from science to biology and anatomy to ecology to geology to environmental science to weather to health to ocean science and much more. There were several hands on exhibits (not every single one worked properly). Very family friendly environment. There are assimilated rides. There is an outside park with activities for children. The highlight exhibit was dinosaurs in motion. Since the last time I visited this museum they have enhanced and updated several areas which made this experience very inviting. Live animal displays. Children’s educational sessions at certain times. Of course the inclusion of the Imax movie opportunity certainly adds to the overall experience. This museum makes for a perfect outing for the whole family, young and old. They converted their Subway to an adequate concession stand for movie goers or a cafe experience for a light meal. Wheelchair accessibility. Elevators and escalators for those who choose not to use stairs. Hand sanitizing stations. This museum is a must visit. Prices reasonable for what there is to see and do.
Its a nice museum for young kids (2-10) with at-least 2-3hrs of entertainment not including the free i-max video (+45mins). So plan to pay for 3-4hrs of parking. It has 2 floors with activities and exhibits separated by areas. It also has a nice outdoor area with different activities. Less then 100$ for a family of 4. The exhibits are a big old and quite a few broken but the kids (especially my 4yr old) loved it and didn’t want to leave. Overall worth the visit of you are in the area.
It’s an ideal place for small kids. I made the mistake of creating high expectations based on my prior museum experience in cities like DC or New York, but to be fair it is a pretty good museum. I would have preferred if it had more space because the exhibits seem jumbled together. It has exhibitions pertaining to wildlife, dinosaurs, renewable energy, health, aviation and the sort. They have a cafe and a gift shop outside. I would not pay $24 again for it, that’s for sure, but it serves its purpose.
This is a great place for the whole family! Kids of all ages will find something to enjoy! There is a corner of wildlife, scientific facts, entertainment for logic, a couple of rides, beautiful exhibits with airliners (kids love to fly in air transport lol))), there are places where you can relax and sit while the kids are playing! Separately, I would like to be glad that on the territory of the museum there is a place for strollers, an elevator, an escalator and, of course, a children’s entertainment area)). Parking is located next to the museum building (we were lucky 🥳 there were enough places). There is also a very cute gift shop on site with really useful and fun toys for kids! Our 6 year old daughter loved it! She was pleasantly impressed and loved every activity where she could prove herself! Thanks to the employee for an exciting activity with paper cups flying in the air mass))) In any case, if you want to keep the kids busy and relax a little, this is the perfect leisure
