  1. So GOOD! The chicken sandwich is sooooooo tasty. Great value, it’s gourmet taste at a good price located in a restaurant attached to a laundry mat. Will be back.

Also! They have the BEST FRENCH FRIES I HAVE EVER HAD.

Update: came in here 5 minutes to close unsure if they would be shutting down the kitchen, they were very kind and got me dinner even though I was so late. Love these guys! Very loyal customer.

  2. Alllllright everyone. Hidden gem right here. 100 percent I’ll be back. Burgers are a classic smash burger – fresh toppings – solid bun – served up in about 3 mins. Amazing. Fries are like the ones at the state fair – ya I said it. Oh. And the best part. You can get a Burger fries and shake for about $10. Don’t skip on the sauce either. Get outta here Logans… Where you been all my life?

  3. Found this little place by accident located inside the laundry mat. Food is made to order always hot and fresh!! Customer service is amazing cashiers are bilingual Spanish/English and extremely friendly!!! Whenever I’m in the neighborhood I stop by and order!!

  4. Amazing food! This place is a hidden gem. Burgers, chicken and fries are all excellent and well priced. Fries are top notch. We can’t wait to try more on the menu!

  5. I’ve come here several times before, usually in the afternoon to early evening, and the service and food have always been fast and great. Feels like a hole-in-the-wall, little treasure of a place. I always get takeout and eat in my car in front of the place since there’s limited seating inside and it’s not quite the atmosphere I’d look for in a sit down place, but I personally think that’s part of the appeal. Chicken burgers, fries, and tacos are where it’s at for me.

Cash-only dive bar that serves the Juicy Lucy, stuffed burger with cheese inside. Pictures of well-known visits by popular figures are found on the wall. The service was fast, friendly and attentive. As a first timer, I thought the cheese was a bit runny/ watery? Otherwise it was a fairly cool lunch experience for me.

Got there around 7:30 pm on Sunday night, it was about a 5 minute wait for a party of 5. We all ordered Jucy Lucy’s, 3 orders of fries and 2 beers (Castle Danger Cream Ale and Grain Belt Premium). The Juicy Lucy was one of the best in Minneapolis (had 5-8 Club, Crooked Pint, Nooks and Blue Door) because the grilled onion, pickles and cheese inside just all worked together really well!

Still has popular as ever. From arriving (line was to the interior door) to table was about 10 min, and this was around 2pm on Friday. The 1 sever was rocking the whole section like a true professional. Food took about 20-25min but the place was busy. Matt’s didn’t disappoint and the burgers were worth the wait, perfectly cooked with that sexy seasoning and cold beer.

Jucy Lucy was good… but not somewhere I’d visit during subsequent trips to the Twin Cities, as it fell short of my expectations given it’s notoriety.
Had a Dive Bar atmosphere but friendly staff made the visit enjoyable. Our waitress (I think Claire?) was the best part.
Also – skip the fries… there are a ton in an order, but they weren’t very good.

Best Juicy Lucy in all the land. They have a very small food menu and they are experts at everything on it. Their Juicy Lucy is always well cooked with juices and flavors locked inside. The bar is small so there can be a wait to get a table. Worth it. Their pop is served in cans which is unique. Very friendly wait staff.

Stopped in while in the area. I must say this is a gem of a place and exudes a lot of personality! Definitely recommended going to the downstairs area!

Got the Tuesday Bacon Bourbon Burger with fries for $9.95. Burger was cooked just how I liked it(a little pink inside), although my friend’s was just brown throughout. The burger was cohesive and nothing was too overpowering. Only critiques we’re maybe the party could’ve been either a smidge thicker or wider to leave less empty space on the bun! Overall an 8/10 burger!
Fries were fried nicely and seasoned well!

Will recommend and definitely come back to try other burgers!

The absolute best wings in the Twin Cities! My go to flavors are the Honey BBQ, Buffalo and MN wild dry rub. There isn’t a bad flavor on the menu. The homemade fries are outstanding and be sure to order a few of the homemade blue cheeses, so good. I will continue to go to this small, vibrant and fun neighborhood staple to enjoy the food and great service!

Great corner bar. Minnesota has a few bars/restaurants that serve Juicy Lucy burgers. These are stuffed burgers with cheese on the inside. The nook does not claim to have invented the burger style but they have some great variations. I had the Guy’s Big Bite which is a stuffed burger topped with bacon and roast beef with cheddar cheese! The burger was big, juicy, and very filling. I got the hand cut fries for the side dish. The Nook is very popular and there can be a long line at times but is well worth the wait.

This small, family-run restaurant was suggested to us to try local cuisine on our visit to Minnesota. The cheese curds were extremely delicious (we regret only getting one portion)! I tried the Juicy Nookie burger, which was tasty but messy to eat. It’s not a huge burger, which was nice, as anything too big would be too heavy. The food was good, overall, but a bit greasy. Service was quick and friendly.

This was my first time at the Nook and I was excited to try their Juicy Lucy burger since so many people have raved about it. Well, it was a pretty disappointing. We waited about 40 minutes to get our burgers and we realized (after two bites) that there was no cheese inside and the burger was overcooked (menu says burgers are cooked to medium). We told the server and he apologized and got us new ones. New ones took 20 minutes to arrive. As others have mentioned, it was very hot to eat. It reminded me of eating xiao long baos (Chinese soup dumplings), where you have to be careful or you will burn your mouth. Overall, the taste of the burgers was okay. I’ve tried other Juicy Lucy at other well-known places, and prefer the other places vs. Nook.

But, the service was great! Our server kept checking on us and was very apologetic about our non-cheese overcooked burger. So, most of the stars is for the server. He rocked it.

So, would I come back again? Probably not.

Long wait for food – okay burgers + great service = 3 stars.

Stopped in for a lunch bite. We were able to get a seat fairly quickly. Shortly there after it started to fill up. We started with the Ahi Crisps, which was the star of the experience. They were so good, I could have just kept eating them. Then I ordered the Bourbon Chicken. It was large and had a good flavor. The Husband had the Ultimate and he enjoyed it. There was a bit of a wait for the food as there was a huge lunch order that had been placed. The waiter was great, he kept us informed and our drinks full. Additionally, we had a good conversation with our neighbor table. All and all good choice for lunch and would go back.

The atmosphere is so friendly and very open. I loved how everything was set out, and the pride flags were awesome. 🙂
The servers and host(s/esses) were super nice and always very attentive. We were checked on multiple times by multiple people. Wonderful service!

The food was good, but it was a little salty for my preference. My two friends didn’t seem to mind, so that’s probably a personal taste of mine. We got the chips and onion dip and it was super yummy. The chips were hot and very thick, and the dip was cool, creamy, and onion-y.
I had the Strawberry Swing and it was super refreshing! Very fruity, fizzy, and tart. I would definitely get this drink again, and I highly recommend it for anyone who likes strawberry lemonade. 🙂
For the main course, I had the So Cal vegan burger with coleslaw for the side. The bun was soft and the texture of everything was awesome. I really liked the garlic mayo. I tried some of the truffle fries, and those were super good. Very truffle-y, tender, and rich. The truffle flavoring added a “melt-in-your-mouth” feel to it!
I think my favorites that came with my burger were the coleslaw and the pickle. The coleslaw was very cold, refreshing, and creamy. It also had this amazing peppery-spiciness to it, which I loved! The pickle spear was crunchy and very sour.

The bathroom was so cool!! Very amazing vibes. I loved how clean everything looked, and it was kept in very very good condition.

Overall, awesome place. The food was a bit salty for me, but I’ll just have to try some other dishes here. Amazing service—I felt very welcomed here.

Food was top notch, great menu and atmosphere. A few highlights:

    – Homemade ketchup? So cool and delicious. Lower sugar and you can taste it.
    – Inventive menu. Everything pretzel with Brie sauce? Delicious.
    – Burgers were excellent and great beer options as well.

Tropical bowl was surprisingly good. I say surprisingly because this is Minnesota and not a tropical island. The pork belly and avocado were too tempting for us to wait for the photo… Sorry the presentation is so pretty but we couldn’t help ourselves so this picture isn’t exactly how the bowl is presented. The ultimate burger was very good…cooked to perfection and fries were crispy hot! Paired with the Able Old Trustee lager was magnifique!

This has become my weekly (if not 2-3X weekly) lunch spot and I continue to be impressed by the entire experience. Not only is every menu item better than the next, the staff (spotlight on Jay, Zane, Mike, and Kylie) continue to go above and beyond for their patrons. Favorite restaurant 1000/10 will come again, you can count on it! 😉

Featured pic is the January special – the Greek Chicken Gyro Bowl! I recommend the crispy chicken!

Cute quaint restaurant that appears to be well liked! Staff was friendly from being greeted at the door and quickly by the bartender as we sat down. My hand shaken spicy margarita was very delicious but small in size for the price. We order a half order of nachos and a burger to share which was plenty of food for two! Beef on nachos had good taste, chips were freshly made and crispy and the salsa had a smoked taste and delicious! Burger had a bakery fresh bun, overall pretty tasty, and hot and fries crispy. I would definitely go back!

Came here for the first time last week and my experience was great. The wait was relatively short and the host was extremely friendly. For food, I order an order of blueberry pancakes and French Toast. The French toast was soooo delicious but the blueberry pancake was okay. The blueberries didn’t taste that good. However our waiter was amazing. Supeeeeer friendly and kind. Just overall amazing. Literally the best service I’ve ever received from a waiter. I would definitely return again!

Service was quick. Food was modern and had good flavor. Burger was solid! I highly recommend the mozzarella bites! They are so good and have nice flavor and they’re not greasy.

I visited the Lowbrow for the second time on Saturday. The first time I went for dinner and ordered the pulled pork sandwich on a GF bun. It was alright! The bun fell apart really easily but that is to be expected with gluten free bread. On Saturday I called in the morning to make a reservation and was able to do so with no problem. I would highly recommend making a reservation as it was very busy! My meal was pretty yummy, although it’s not super difficult to make a good brunch! I’m interested in trying out their date night meal! I was expecting the Wisconsin Hashers to be something different than the regular hashbrowns but the only difference I noted was the addition of cheese.

It was okay, not much flavor and kinda bland. The fire burger didn’t have much kick and the mushroom and Swiss burger didn’t leave me wanting more. But the Georgia peach tea was the biggest let down. Been to Georgia and that’s not it. The place was cute tho and staff was super friendly. If I ever went again I think I would just go for drinks.
