  1. Passed by a lot of other restaurants because they are overly Christian here. Bible verses on the walls and bibles on the tables. We ordered the half pound hamburger steak which came with grilled onions and added cheese to it. Chose the baked beans as our side. There is a fixin’s bar for adding toppings to your burger.

Burger was nicely cooked. Enjoyed having the cheese, grilled onions, lettuce and tomato on top. Baked beans were tasty but sweet.

  2. On a road trip and googled best burger only to find this place just 1 exit north of I-20. They marinate their meat over night and only cook it once the order is placed. We loved our burgers! Very fresh, tender and tasty. Crinkle fries were hot. Also liked the condiment center where you can add whatever you want: fresh sliced tomatoes, beautiful crisp iceberg lettuce, sliced onions and tasty pickles. Everything was very clean including restrooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. It’s worth a stop if you’re in the area.

  3. Good food. Great atmosphere. Would give 5 stars but onion rings and fries were burnt. Went around dinner time shorts wait but burgers were fresh.

  4. Nice family friendly mom and pop operation, with delicious burgers. Clean, spacious dining room. The topping bar is nice touch with a limited selection of fresh DIY garnishes, kind of like Fuddruckers used to do. Dipped ice cream and sweets in a connected walk through. A Bible on every table is an unexpected twist but nobody tried to proselytize so okay, whatevs.

  5. When you read reviews just know that it is impossible to please people 100% Even with best efforts there will always be that person here or there that just is unhappy. I have read some really dumb reviews on here nit picking price, saying the burgers weren’t seasoned, overwhelming Christian theming, etc. It is all bullcrap!! I ALWAYS CALLS ‘EM LIKE I SEES ‘EM!! 1. The burgers are super fresh, the man starts cooking them after your order. They are well seasoned, in fact a bit much for me, but it’s a taste thing. Everybodys different! The crinkle fries are store bought but executed perfectly. Hot and crispy on the outside, just like most people like. 2. They offer a Classic burger special. You have several cheese choices. Toppings at the bar, fresh and plenty and fries. ALL FOR $8.88!! Where you gonna get a fresh third pound burger with fries and a drink for that??? Gees, people!! 3. I have attached several pics of the place. It WAS NOT overwhelmingly Christian ornamented nor was anyone pushing anything. I just saw smiling, courteous, and clean associates! The reataurant was outstanding in cleanliness and organization. There is not another place I know that is this “on the ball”. Thank you Steve’s for surpassing expecations and bless you guys greatly for offering a value meal like the $8.88!!!

Burgers were great!! Patties were thin and perfectly cooked, I do recommend getting a double if you get lots of toppings. The dirty fries were very tasty! The real star of the show were the sweet potato fries!! They were the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had!! So sweet and tasty, like desert fries! The employees were very helpful and friendly!

This place sets back off the main road in the shopping plaza by KFC in Moncks Corner. I ordered the All the Smoke burger and a side of onion rings. It was delicious, can’t wait to order from here again.

Excellent meal. First time visiting. The burger and dirty fries did not disappoint. I also had the chili dog. It was also very good. I really hope owners/management keep it up. It was definitely a quality meal and worth the price. You never know when trying new spots out…it’s hit or miss. I was very happy and satisfied leaving this place.

Wonderful experience. Found it a bit odd that they only had bottled drinks. Besides that the burgers were delicious. Obviously the best place to get a burger in town. The dirty fries were amazing and my favorite part. I could see they were freshly fried and the weren’t soggy or cold one bit. The burger was delicious and the sauces were awesome. If the bun was a little more toasted it would’ve been the perfect burger. I tried the sweet potato fries and they were also so amazing. The server at the front was very kind. The restaurant was very cleanly. All in all it’s worth the experience and if this restaurant continues the way it’s going, it’s on the up and up.

Delicious! The dirty fries are great and my kids loved their chicken bites – which were actual cut pieces of chicken breast perfectly fried. If you get a burger get a double as they’re the thinner smash style patties and they perfectly season the meat so you’re going to want more of it.

BEST GRILLED CHICKEN SALAD AROUND 5 STARS

so I have passed by poppy’s a million times and today I decided to try it. This might be my new go to spot for salad. Everything was prepared fresh with fresh ingredients. The portion size was great and the price is affordable. I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the items on the menu. Definitely stop by if you are close or passing by!! You won’t be disappointed!

Local burger, subs and salads eatery that fills your belly without emptying your wallet. Quick stop for Sunday lunch got me enjoying the two Carolina dogs loaded with chili, slaw and onions with a side of fries for just over $5.00. Neither the chili nor the slaw was overbearing, as one could still enjoy and taste the toasted bun and the firm skinned hotdog. The fries were a thicker style that were hot. My wife’s turkey, bacon wrap with a side of pasta salad was also reasonably price and made with a good amount of deli turkey, crisp bacon, lettuce and ranch. Limited seating inside and the overall feel of the place is that a little TLC would go a long way. Rusty vents, water stained and taped ceiling tiles and patched walls in need of a new coat of paint. Don’t let the looks detour you but enjoy the food for what you came for.

First time here, ordered an Italian Sub (12”) and pasta salad as a side. Great size portions, friendly staff, and excellent taste. Would definitely go back again.

After all the hype and good reviews I read I went in to give it a try. I was disappointed. It’s a regular burger nothing special. The chicken was okay the veggie burger was better but still not great. It’s a hole in the wall bar with top notch prices meaning expensive. They didn’t have any beer on tap. Had a punk rock kind of feel to it the freezer behind the bar was held together with red tape. I also didn’t like getting my water out of a igloo cooler.

I made a split-second decision with a couple of friends to go here, and it was not a mistake. Absolutely spectacular burgers, honestly the best I’ve ever had. Almost everything is made from scratch, and it really comes through in the flavors. From the soft brioche buns to the freshly grounded meat, everything was perfect. If your looking for a great burger, look no further.

Great little burger place! Kids were hungry and we just wanted out of the chaos of Charleston, so I randomly picked Big Gun. This place is edgy with a little bit of glam, which I love. The bathroom is covered in graffiti…. super cool!! We were told it would be a 45 minute wait for our food, but that was fine with us. Staff shortages are everywhere! It gave me a chance to walk the shops nearby. And the food was definitely worth the wait! The menu is small, but I like that when dealing with the kids. Prices are a little high, but I’m guessing that’s normal for Charleston. I had the vegan tacos. They were great! It was taco seasoned cauliflower with a slaw. Hubby and kids all had burgers. They were big and cooked to perfection. The classic is just that, an old school burger with onion and pickle… very good! The fries were crispy, just how the kids love. The waiter/bartender was very friendly and helpful. The adult beverages are plenty! Overall, good experience, a very relaxed vibe and great food!!

Dive style bar with quality food. Onion rings were perfect ratio of onion to batter, and their gun sauce was yummy. Had to try the jive turkey burger and was not disappointed! $5 bloodys – beware this is not in a pint. Good stop! Would recommend.

I’ve been to Big Gun a few times and it’s always an exceptional experience. This time tho was above and beyond any expectation. Wife and I went on vday as we were hopping around grabbing small plates from several locations. We shared the Thin White Duke and The Brussels. OMG!!!! The food was a 10/10. This review honestly can’t express the feelings about the food. Brussels came first, and we’re fully expecting them to be amazing since we get them each time. Top 5 small plate or appetizer in the city, the flavor was immaculate. The burger was perfect, bun was soft and toasted, the fries was season perfectly with a blend of spices you typically don’t taste on fries. Even the cream soda was top notch. Like I said this isn’t our first time going to Big Gun and it’s always really good but today was impeccable 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Excellent burgers (love the burger sauce!) and it is a fun atmosphere. Wouldn’t recommend for business lunches due to the loud music/atmosphere.

Jack Browns delivers on the promise of flavorful burgers. It’s hard to go wrong with a Wagyu smash burger. Good selection of craft beer from the beer fridge.

The take out is quick and they package their burgers well for travel. If you want to drop by and get a takeout order, this is a good place to go.

I will definitely be going back to try some of the different burger combinations.

Open on Sundays and seems to be a spot for college kids and families alike. Parking is a bit hard to find. The Shocker burger packed some real heat which was much appreciated! First time having a deep fried Oreo (essentially an Oreo wrapped in a hush puppy) and it was surprisingly good and I’m not a dessert person.

Food was so tasty! Even though they don’t have lettuce or tomatoes but that wagyu beef makes up for it! So fresh and tasty.
Cheese fries are great. Music is crazy loud and the decor is crazy cool. Bathrooms are nice. Workers are super friendly. $12 for a burger is worth it when it’s wagyu beef and fresh and hot.

Out in Five Points on a Sunday. This place is cool. Simple beer and burgers. Great tastes
On the burgers, the carnivores in our family were happy.
Little loud, but I liked the music.

Great tasting food and great service. Got the Sunday special which was a burger with a glazed doughnut for the bun. Tasted so da** good! Also got some great tasting loaded fries! You have to try this place out.
