  There’s a reason this spot has been voted best burger in nashville year over year 😋 we got the BBQ burger, the Gabby burger, and the Seamus burger – they were all delicious. You can’t go wrong! OH, and make sure you get the sweet potato fries. They should get an award for this too – thick, sweet, crunchy and so so do yummy. We love this burger spot!

  Wow!!! I haven’t gotten service like this in forever! Every employee was super pleasant and helpful in a packed restaurant. I ordered online 6 custom burgers. The order was ready ahead of time and perfect!

  There is a small parking lot and street parking available. Pricing was very fair for the giant burgers and huge portion of fries. Someone actually helped me carry the box out to my car (I had my toddler on my hip).

  Gabby’s is everything you want from a greasy spoon- delicious, fast, affordable. On top of that, the restaurant was super clean and managed beautifully. I will definitely be back! I was so impressed and wish I had tried it sooner!

  This is an absolute lunch gem!!! The burgers and hot dogs are cooked extremely well and so many sauces and topping options. The customer service is top notch and the staff look like they actually enjoy coming to work. I tip my hat to the owner for that environment. Parking is rough and not a ton of spots just fyi. Pictures all over the place about Nashville sports and a wish board. The fries are crispy hot and salty but I really come here for the sweet potato fries!!! They are a thicker fry and just darn awesome. I would highly recommend getting multiple items on the Keanu and sharing. Drinks are sweet but not too sweet. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.

  Absolute home-run of a dining experience! The staff was helpful, and over-the-top friendly. The food was too-notch. I had the Gabby’s Burger with half-and-half fries (mixed sweet potato and regular) and my wife had the BLT with pasta salad. The burger was the best one I have ever tasted. Seasoned perfectly, really juicy, great toppings… the whole package! Wife loved the BLT and enjoyed the dressing on the noodles. Opted for a chocolate shake afterward as well! Do that.

  The atmosphere was really the icing on the cake. The staff treated us like family, greeted the regulars, cracked jokes… just really enjoyed serving their customers. If I were to ever own a restaurant, this is the type of place I would want. Really glad we made it over and really want to come back!

  Absolutely fantastic. Energetic crew with a lot of personality. Fresh ingredients, excellent burger, and fresh cut fries, sweet or potato. I also noticed that they have milk shakes, and that they are not chemical concoctions, but real words that you do not need a degree to understand.
  Tennessee has always been a favorite of mine, and Gabby’s is just one more reason to go. Thanks for the great experience.

  Great Moms n Pop Burger joint that offers tasty fresh burgers and fries. Their service is excellent, the wait time is fairly quick and portion size for what you pay for is more than fair. I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area and want a good burger that is not greasy with a fresh bun that won’t tear apart and is delicious. This place will be a good experience. FYI this place is only open till 8pm.

  Summary: Grillshack does one thing super well. A burger & fries, and they only have one burger. They are simple, quick, easy, well priced, and delicious. Are they the best burger I’ve ever eaten? No, but they are super good, and their fries are awesome too.

  I had spent early part of the afternoon at coffee shop and knew I was headed to hike for a few hours so I wanted to get some good, and hopefully not super expensive, food that afternoon. I read a couple of reviews and saw a lot of really good things about Grillshack. I’m not normally big burger guy but something about the idea of a place that just does one burger and fries really well intrigued me so that’s where I landed.

  It is super low-key; it’s basically a small building with a to go window a few picnic tables outside under a covered awning and that’s it. They serve a few different items but really they basically have one thing. The grillshack burger and fries. It’s what every single person got while I was there and it’s what they recommend. So clearly that’s what I got. It’s an incredibly simple burger with toppings kind of on the side, lettuce tomato pickles, and their fries are home cut and absolutely delicious.

  There’s really not a ton to say about grillshack except I would absolutely come here anytime I wanted a burger. It’s almost like someone took the “fast food burger” and then made it delicious but still kept it at a somewhat reasonable price. I definitely recommend people go, and I could see myself going again when I’m back in Nashville.

  Small unassuming shack in East Nashville on the corner of Rosebank and Riverside. Stopped in on a whim and boy was I surprised. The literal BEST burger and fries I have ever eaten. I have now come back almost 10 times in just two weeks. I am addicted!! I brought friends and family and everyone agrees that it’s THE BEST! They use fresh, delicious ingredients.

  Inconspicuous rundown shack with a gravel parking lot next to the railroad serving up family-owned Bear Creek Farm beef burgers on fresh locally made bread with the best damn fries in Nashville. Word on the street is it’s a 5-stage cooking process that gets them crispy AF.

  My son requested burger and fries but I did not want fast food. I found this place searching on the map and I am so happy that I did. The burgers were perfectly cooked and delicious. The added bacon was great, I got 2-3 crispy pieces. The plain wings were awesome as well as the side sauces. But the fries, those amazing delicious fries! I’ve never had any like those, they were a better version of steak fries with little crispy ends. Just as delicious cold at midnight! 10/10 if you want a great burger in Nashville

  What a super place for a burger. So, it looks like a “hole in the wall”, but the burgers were super fantastic. And if you didn’t want a burger, they had quite a selection up to and including lamb chops. Their burgers are actually stuffed with their toppers and the they covered the top with more. Service was fast and friendly and the price was good. Don’t look for “famous” restaurant chains when in Nashville. Instead, look for “Tasty & Delicious Burgers”. They are all their name implies.

  Little hole in the wall place. The food was delicious and the portions are huge! The Philly cheesesteak had so much flavor and the meat was extremely tender. My husband said his hamburger was really good as well. Everything is made to order. I highly recommend this place.

  We had a great first visit.
  Would definitely recommend.
  So many awesome options. You want shrimp on your burger? You can get it here. You want lamb on top of your beef burger? You can get it here.
  We came in at an odd time, but instead of them dropping old fries like most places would, they made fresh ones. The burgers are good. (The beef patty is not earth shattering, but it’s still a really good burger.)

  Best burger joint in Nashville. Great food! Tasty and delicious as advertised. 3 of us got different burgers, all huge, overflowing with topping, and substantial. They also serve middle eastern food which we tried and was amazing. All made by hand. The owner gave us free food and tastes if whatever he was cooking. Definitely recommend and will go back.

  1. Absolutely one of the best restaurants in Nashville and pet friendly. I met Ali a friendly and sweet dog, unfortunately I was a bit sad to know he is blind and lost both eyes because of the disease.
  Burger Republic is a great place and staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. I love that you get a lot of food as well for the price. Lisa is so nice and she is so accommodating and checked us often. This is the kind of service I wish other restaurants staff would do. I am definitely going back. Thanks much Cora for your time and you took me out today and showed me places around downtown.

  I went here with my mom and I assure you that this is definitely a good spot to grab food. Place was clean and our server was nice. The service in itself was fast and speedy. (we ordered, got our food, ate and paid all in under 45 minutes). but don’t get me started on how good the food was. I ordered their Jumbo wings and by far, the best wings i ever ate at a restaurant. If you want to eat some good food, go here!

  Great spot in the Gulch for a tasty burger! We sat outside and had a good experience. I had the bacon cheese burger, it didn’t come with bacon which I did still get charged for but I couldn’t tell because of the mobile pay machines (bummer) but overall I would visit again. My strawberry lemonade cider was also amazing!

  Burgers and fries were fantastic. It’s an added touch that they fancy up the fries like they do the burgers.

  Our server seemed to be super tired which was a bit of a drawback as I really enjoy engaging with wait staff. However the manager/owner did stop by to chat.
