  1. This is a nice little beach. I was there on a Monday night so it was not too busy. Unfortunately, the beach is very rocky! You need sandals or swimming shoes to safely walk in the water. I didn’t see any restrooms or on-site entertainment. It’s a very relaxing beach, more for the views!

  2. Nice and beautiful. Very clean, not crowded. You can rent canopies, umbrellas, cabanas, and chairs. They installed for you. There are bathrooms and showers, a park and a covered basketball court. There is a whataburger across the street. Nice parking too.

  3. I really liked this beach! I’m not a fan of the whole “cars and trucks on the beach” experience. This has a more relaxed vibe – no vehicles, just people enjoying the beach and walking along the water. Free parking and free access. Great!

  4. Nice beach but not quite a 5 star. Lots of room to walk but the road is right there and a lot of car noise. Easy parking with a short walk to sand.

Nice quiet location. Clean beach. The gift shop is small but there was a nice selection of postcards and magnets. The people working in the shop were extremely friendly and had helpful information for us. The seagulls on the beach appeared to be more cautious around people than at other local locations. The young man in the booth at the entrance was always very personable! Nice group of employees overall.

We love to come here and walk the beach. This time the sand was firm so we drove a few miles south, parked, and then walked 10 miles on the beach. What a great experience. Very quiet for an early November Saturday.

Nice picnic area by the windsurfing.

Friendly staff in the visitor center.

One surprise was solid-identification twice for a Common Black Hawk which is supposedly extremely rare in this area.

A beautiful spot. Busy on a Saturday morning but we were able to find an empty area to sit. Spent the whole day there, beautiful view. Lovely water.
Did see lots of Blue Buttons and Man-o-wars, but no one got stung.
No one left any trash behind during our visit so that’s always nice to see. Everyone around us was friendly and no one was blasting loud music, wonderful experience.
The showers in the visitor center were closed but there are some in the parking lot too so no issues
$10 to get in unless you have the year pass or free for military.
Check their schedule too, sometimes you can come watch a turtle hatchling release

It is amazing seashore, you can drive 110 km!!! And camp on the ocean shore.
The sad part, as you go further and further more and more trash on the beach, humanity are shocking!!!
For entrance you need to have Annual pass, or pay fee for day use (I believe 10$) and for camping about 12$. So it’s not like free camping. But experience is amazing!

You want solitude? Open spaces? Fresh air, sun, and sea? No better place in the whole state. Note, the primitive camping is truly primitive: there is zero infrastructure on the beach so you are 100% self-supported. Be smart.

This was our first time here at Padre Balli Park. It was nice and clean. There weren’t too many campers so they had slots open. We were less than 5min. walking distance to the beach. The water was brown on the first day and very windy. The second and third days were very nice 87°F for the high and humidity was low. So very comfortable weather. The water started returning to it natural color and by Wednesday it was there. We went fishing and caught a few fish and released them back. The bath/shower house was clean and the laundry room was in working order. I wish they had more washer & dryers. The price for the premium sites are very reasonable. They do offer tent camping and have electricity to most spots. I would recommend getting a beach parking pass from the office at about $14.00 so you can drive on the beach ⛱️ and set up for the day. The pass is good for 1yr. It was really nice and we look forward to heading back there before the year end.

My favorite place to go when I come to corpus. This is my Hawaii!! Growing up this was where we went to get away. Could never afford a tropical vacation, but we definitely could come to the beach. And we do religiously. This is probably my 4th time in the past 4 weeks lol. The atmosphere is amazing, cool people, warm water and fun all day. If you want to enjoy the beach life and are close to corpus christi this is definitely the beach you want to come to.

We love camping here. It’s always clean and safe. My children actually say they can go to school from here if we move to the camp site 😂😂😂😂. The staff is very humble and very nice.

My wife and I went in the morning and we were a little surprised at how crowded it was. Lots of surfers as the waves were pretty decent. We didn’t stay all that long because we were looking for a quieter place.

This is simply one of the cleanest waters this side of Texas compared to Galveston or Corpus Christi. Not a lot of establishments around the beach area save for ample charging outlets for RV’s, which require a parking permit. Bring your own refreshments/food or you’ll starve or dehydrate. Most other places, other than being free from entrance fees, one can simply park off-roaders (or an AWD) along the shore which, IMHO, is the reason I’ll keep coming back here. Once on the beach, there are lifeguard chairs and a public restroom. By the way, one cannot see the beach from the main road or the access roads because of the elevated sand mound.

The whole stretch of this beach is maintained mostly by mother nature so please pick up trash you see along the shores. There are plenty of dried kelp/seaweeds washed ashore which (my wife and I discovered) is very useful to get the bits and pieces of tar sticking to your feet (not too many but i guess this was from the huge oil spill from way back). Also, the place have plenty of small wildlife scattered along the shore: shellfish, hermit crabs, birds, and a few which I will not presume to know the name of. I believe the further one goes south, the better chance of seeing turtle hatchlings. Make the most out of this. With the emergence of developments in and around the area, this is not going to remain pristine for long.

Stayed a Villa Del Sol. The private entrance was really cool. The beach %was nice. Mostly all of the sea shells were just broken pieces and there was a lot of dried up sea weed all over. Could’ve have been better taken care of. The entire area around the beach, the Lexington and the aquarium need to be cleaned up. Also, I bet it will be a nicer place once the road construction is finished.

We came on a weekday and it was relatively open. Not many people were around. There are showers to rinse off once you’re ready to head out.

    What a wonderful experience.

We entered the beach thru the private access from the condos we were staying at (Villa Del Sol). The sand is nice and the water is warm. It’s a short walk to the water. We didn’t walk too far north or south of the condo area to explore much. The section we were in was full of seaweed and seashells are mostly broken pieces. There are jogging/cycling paths around the property
