Really beautiful place but very expensive. £8.95 for a 20min walk through a tropical garden is steep. I think £4.50 max is the correct price. Put that aside, it’s beautiful & peaceful & magical- especially at night. It’s a twisty, up & down walk with waterfalls & vegetation. It’s beautiful there.By L A (4 months ago)This place is extremely beautiful. A calming and relaxing sanctuary for the soul.
The cost of the ticket it also extremely expensive for what it is: just a walk in the nature along a chime. Managers should take note of this common complaint and make the price more reasonable according to the offering.By Max Yakin Bozek (3 months ago)A beautiful walk down the steps to Shanklin beach. Complete with night illuminations and it’s own waterfall this place looks magical! It’s tall trees and vegetation that covers the rocks looks great as it looms over the windy, twisting walk as you make your way down. There are places to stop if you need a rest and a viewpoint out into the coast with lots of information about PLUTO the pipeline used in WW2. Great views and very tranquil.By Karl Venus (5 months ago)I am not very good at walking nowadays but I still managed to get down there at a slower pace. It was well worth it. We went in the evening so we could see it lit up. Ended the evening with a hot chocolate at the refreshment bar at the top. Delicious.By Sharon Jeffries (2 months ago)Awesome beach, so long and wide. The view is awesome and because it’s such a long beach you can find your own space to chill. Was good for flying a drone as well, limited views but good for shooting yourself on the beach. There is a bit of a walk from the road, plan your drive so you can park as close as possible.By Sunil Goswami (5 months ago)

The beach is very nice but where are stones on the beach and sea weed. It’s a little quieter than shanklin beach. The pier is very good for kids and the staff are very friendly. The restaurant inside the pier serves good food but I won’t go back there for more food. The toilets cost 20p by the way and they are not even clean. The beach doesn’t have showers so these toilets were full of sand it’s a shame I don’t have a picture of the toilets.By Mani S (4 months ago)Spent a limited amount of time here on a cold evening but it was decent enough, sea was wet and cold – I went for a quick dip! The pier is old and vintage with lots of photo opportunities. There are really beautiful memorial plaques on the side of the beach too. It seems a bit run down and could go with some TLC but perhaps on a summers day it comes into its own!By Radiate Repeat (7 months ago)Lovely beach… from morning till dusk..
Visited recently, and spent 3 days of sunny, gorgeous and perfect weather. Small town with friendly people and dog friendly too!Perfect getaway for a short weekend holiday.By llewelyn robles (2 months ago)This place is awesome, proper took me back to when I was a kid. The pier is absolutely brilliant and will happily keep you entertained for hours! Loads of machines and arcade machines to play on, with some that must date back to the 90’s. It’s fantastic!
The beach itself is lovely and the sand is soft. Would highly recommend visiting this place if your on the island.By B W (8 months ago)Beautiful sandy beach. Very clean. Went during the heat wave. It was lovely to have a paddle in the sea. People using paddle boards, paddle boats, playing volley ball and others just relaxing and making the most of the sunshine. Would definitely recommend this beach. All shops reasonably priced, unlike Brighton that is highly priced and over ratedBy Wendy Heath (5 months ago)

Truly wonderful beach. Not over crowded even on the bank holiday. Nice cafes running alongside. Partly sandy and small stones. The beach does shelve so be careful with small children as when at high tide the depth increases fast as you walk out.By Matt Atkinson (3 months ago)My favourite beach South East of the Isle of Wight. It has a character quite different from the regular beaches in the UK. Highly recommend the ice cream there.By Yesh Kempanna (7 months ago)Absolutely stunning, we arrived at 10am and the beach was quiet and peaceful. Parking was easy and right alongside the seafront.
The beach is clean and there are some great places on the seafront to grab a coffee and cake or ice cream.By Hayley Henson (a year ago)Nice little Bay, a few bars and restaurants, stopped at the Spyglass pub for a pint..By Ju (6 months ago)Evening stroll, parked right on the front, ran down to the sea over the very fine orange pebbles. Paddled and ran back to the car through the torrential rain dodging the thunder and lightning. Looks like you can hire deck chairs etc. Dog poo free beach too!By David Elsmore (a year ago)

One of the best crazy golf courses we have done .
Such amazing fun, not expensive and plenty of holes to test your skills.
This is in a fab beach location so no excuse not to grab a coffee or ice-cream .
Plenty of places to eat and drink along the esplanade .By Jon Cass #11 (10 months ago)Shanklin is one of the most popular seaside towns in the Isle of Wight. The beach was the winner of the Beach of the Year in the Countryfile Magazine 2019.Parking was easy to find. We relaxed on the esplanade and walked along the beach and cascade to buy fish and chips at Bayside Fish and Chips. Be willing to queue as it is very popular.
The town was not too crowded and was very relaxing and peaceful.
By Christie Cloete (3 months ago)The pirate rides attraction is quite good, the rides are fun, value for money fair. The arcades are about as rigged as you’d expect, don’t even try the claw teddy machines. Parking prices seemed quite steep.By David Potts (4 months ago)Plenty of parking, lovely beach and the usual ice creams and arcades plus the funfair and crazy golfBy Chris Timmins (3 months ago)We stay in an apartment right on the sea front near Shanklin Chine. Lots to do and nice places to eat. Always kept very clean. Great beaches for kids.By Georgina Bell (3 months ago)

Well this is just stunning isn’t it, gorgeous sandy beach! We came in the evening and played the pirate crazy golf course, was £19 for myself and 2 children, was fun! The arcade nearby was clean and good variety of amusements. The girls on the ice cream kiosk were really friendly and welcoming! Definitely make this an area ro visit!
Our beach stroll started from Hope Road Long Stay Car Park, and ended at a small waterfall due to the high tide. Paying more attention to the tide time is worthy. During the walk, we experienced sand beach, small stone beach, big stone beach, and etc. The magnificent sea and the cliffs combination is impressive. Waders on the beacon and creatures on the stone are quite interesting. Recommend enjoying the sunsets, it’s fantastic.
Absolutely beauty this beach is. It’s got very nice dining shops and an arcade place with a fish and chips shop. On the side there is a mini golf place and when you drive down to the beach the view is breath taking. I would definitely recommend this on your trip to Isle of Wight. The beach stretches all the way at the end and you can rent tan beds too. The beach has very little pebbles if you don’t like pebbles.
Lovely area. Lots to do. Beautiful beaches. Had a ride in the lift and found a pub for lunch. So many places to eat and drink and little shops. Arcades and amusement rides. Really worth a visit
Nice Beach and surrounding area. Lots of cafes shops restaurants near the beach area. The beach walk is soothing. The beach is not as clean as we would have expected, but it’s ok. Nothing specific to mention. But yes you can spend a good time here.
