Fascinating place filled with an immense amount of knowledge and information! Whether you’re a space enthusiast or not, there’s something here for everyone to enjoy. The facility is neatly organized and laid out with various sections and areas. Additionally, maps and employees are everywhere to assist with navigating.
Tickets are very reasonably priced and allows for free roam to choose what activities/exhibits you would like to visit. The only restriction is how much time you have to spare. They have 3 itinerary plans that corresponds to how much time you would like to stay there – 2 hours, 5 hours, 7+ hours. The choice is yours!
The only recommendation for change with the facility is to make the prices for photographs more reasonable. Upon entering, everyone gets a group photo taken (which we all know those are never FREE).
In fact, they’re $30 here, which is essentially the price of another entry ticket which is absolutely asinine. Many people were just taking pictures of the kiosk screen of the group photo instead of buying it which I don’t blame them.
By Braedyn (10 months ago)My family and I visited the Space Center in Houston and it was great! Staff were courteous and helping and the facilities were very clean! We purchased the City Pass because we were only in the area for Spring break so we used it for other venues. The wait was fast. Literally, never stopped walking through the line until we arrived at purse check and then again to scan the electronic tickets. We went on a Tuesday. We spent all day there and still did not see everything. Get Tram and virtual rides tickets early because they sell out fast.
The exhibits were very interesting and kept our 10 year-old daughter engaged. The two virtual rides were awesome. It was as if we were truly in space. Loved it!!

We got there by 930am and there was a line on a Saturday already. We reserved the blue tram when we got inside and did the tour which was super fun. Some I had little ones doing the blue tram was a better option. Also, I recommend bringing cash. The gift stores credit card machines were not working and we couldn’t get nothing. Next time, we will be more prepared. Wish we could have deep dived every corner but having toddlers it was kinda hard.
Pro tip of photos, utilize your panorama setting on your phone. You’ll be able to be in the picture with rockets. Have walking shoes and water on hand. Six Flags is always a great place to take the family. Even though we’ve been to many haunted houses throughout the years and many theme parks, we always enjoy Six Flags over Texas in Arlington. Seems like they still have their stuff together even though we have not been back since Covid began in 2020 the prices for the season passes are quite a bit more than what we remember than being yet. Everything has gone up due to inflation. We went to almost all of the haunted houses and they are still on point. I love how when they get something right they do not try to overdo it, they said safe boundaries to where you can take the whole family and are very creative in their execution. Well done Six Flags well done. Even though I am afraid to ride roller coasters, I still ride the big ones like the Texas giant, the Titan, Batman, and Mr. freeze. It just doesn’t seem like a theme park without them anymore.By Brian Allen (4 months ago)Did 11 out of 15 rides on the same day with the Flash Pass; I ordered the platinum one (210$ a day) as I wanted to make sure I complete as many rides as I can since I’m not from around here and I don’t know when I’ll be back again; best decision I’ve ever made.
I was a bit sad that “the joker” was closed, as it was one of my targets; it was windy so the ride was closed for the safety of everyone.
Overall the place is huge and is great for everybody, adults and kids. The lines are organized, and none was pushing/shoving or trying to get in front – great atmosphere.
My favorite ride was the Superman, and even though Mr. Freeze and The Texas Giant are considered more thrilling, something about the drop in Superman was super extreme; I really liked it!
By Meir Gabay (2 months ago)29 years old, and this was my first time to Six Flags.I got to enjoy this experience with my wife, kids, and other Family. It turns out my oldest daughter is just as much a roller coaster rider as I am!
It was a spectacular experience for us all, and we are very glad we chose to spend our Thanksgiving together here.
The park had so much for everyone to enjoy, but do be prepared to do some walking, because this place is HUGE!
I really respect that they offer a Military discount as well, thank you.

I rode some rides and I remember riding over 20 years ago with my kids today and getting to experience many new rides with them as well! I was surprised how few people were there and appreciated the short lines, but also realized that some of the park is in a little disarray and a lot of the shops and other areas are shut down either because of staff or lack of need with so few people. I appreciate that all the rides we went to or kept working throughout the day and available to ride! If you’ve never been here, then I definitely recommend visiting especially if you just been to another six flags. This is the six flags over Texas and is amazing! The staff were friendly and helpful except for some of the younger student staff who seems unsure of policy’s and directions and too bored to be there.By Justin Talley (6 months ago)It was a really great experience. We went on Sunday and even when the schedule is limited until 7pm we could cover all the thrill rides.Taking the extreme pass is a good idea, especially if you are planning to visit the parks more than one.

Beautiful, right along the water. Lots of fun rides to kill a little bit of time between scheduled events, this is a great place to go! Everyone had fun and we were able to take a break from visiting museums, doing tours etc. A little bit pricey for sure if you don’t buy the wristband. Rides are $6 per ride, per person. Parking could be a bit of a hassle depending on how late in the evening you arrive. If you plan to go there arrive around 430pm on the weekends and park after 6pm its chaos to find a parking spot. People and business are very casual and a chill atmosphere. No one seems too wild and everyone seems to enjoy themselves with all the activities. So much fun!! We spent almost three hours walking around and really enjoyed every minute of it! It was pretty packed, but we were still able to see everything we wanted to and everyone was polite and tried to share the views with others.
Coming from a smaller city with only a small zoo, this was amazing to see so many beautiful animals! The exhibits were clean, beautiful, the animals looked extremely well cared for and well fed!

Is more zoo vs aquarium though but kinda combine the two together which is cool. Was very busy when we got here on a Saturday afternoon, the line to get in wrapped around the building but was steadily moving. Has a very open area to fully immerse you in the experience. Wish there was more “security” around the open top tanks as there were many kids putting their hands in them and trying to mess with and touch fish that should not be handled.Also has a great gift/souvenir shop with decent prices. Overall would definitely recommend, but if you bring kids, please watch them.

What we liked most was being able to stand in line in a shaded area without the TX sun beaming down on us. We also enjoyed the bird exhibit while waiting in line to buy tickets. They offered us a military discount which was very nice because we didn’t bring it up. I think the only con is that we came on a busy day and you had to take lines everywhere. We had 3 kids under 4 years old and there was only 1 elevator and we would lose our friends quite often because we couldn’t take stairs. My biggest compliment to the folks who run, guide and maintain the Alamo is that they don’t let the commercialism overshadow the reverence, particular Texans, have for this place. It is a museum, a tourist destination, and a great source of living history. You see the church much as it was constructed although most of the mission is now gone. you have wonderful photo opportunities. It is full of signs and stories and including guided tours where you should leave there fully educated as to what happened on that faithful day. Oddly enough for those who have not been there, the Alamo is located in downtown San Antonio only a couple of blocks walk from the Riverwalk. So any visit to San Antonio,whether the first or many, should always include a brief visit to such a famous American landmark.
Simply put-you truly need to visit!!! I love visiting The Alamo, and have made the journey twice from Austin in the past year. The preservation and detailed historical data is something to behold. It is amazing for us to look at a historical battle site that is hundreds of years old and be able to envision the events that occurred there. As you walk the grounds to intricately laid out details it will be a huge wake up call and an expansion of your knowledge base. This is a must see for all.
The Alamo was beautiful to see in person. My wife and I enjoyed seeing it because we love to visit historical places. The building holds such rich memories. The architecture alone is astounding. If you are ever in San Antonio, I would encourage you to go by and witness it. We also had a tour guide and it was all worth it.
They are currently in *Construction Mode* to expand and they are scheduled to be completed with those works after the New Year! Tickets are FREE, and simply require you to reserve a specific entrance time! Good additions to this trip are a Hat for the Sun, and some water for the heat, they were accepting of water bottles!
This is a really good stop on any road trip, A/C is throughout, and there are a number of surrounding restaurants and establishments. There is a LOT going on, and at any time of the day there will be moderate crowds. It’s not too bad, but still very noticeable.
The Alamo is just SOAKED in history, listing all of the fighters known of, with flags, carved stones, plaques, statues and gardens dedicated to their legacy. An immensity of information that I was completely unaware of was revealed through the in-depth exhibits and artifacts presented throughout, and they offer an audio tour for those that prefer their exhibits in Stereo, but this feature comes
The staff was incredibly informative, very nice and proffered details on each exhibit as requested. Every piece had an in-depth explanation nearby, and staff were always present to assist. Gift shop has some fun items, and while priced a little high in my opinion, I understand it’s proceeds are going to support their restoration efforts, fair enough in my book. They also sell Water and Frozen Snacks, as well as overpriced junk food!

A pretty cool experience, I always thought the Alamo sat out in the middle of nowhere but I was definitely surprised to learn it sits right in the heart of San Antonio just a few blocks from the River Walk District. The church & grounds are free to tour but the Alamo exhibit which sits on the corner of the grounds did cost $5 to tour. The history of the Alamo is diverse & fascinating for history buffs but it may be a little dry for kids or those not into the history side of things.
