We started coming here in the Fall of 2021 and decided to purchase season pass, they are very affordable. We have come a few times and I have been really impressed. They have different themes through the year which is nice to see how they decorate and celebrate. We have been to Halloween, Christmas and just went to the Fiesta theme. The wait times were really fast or nonexistent for all the rides. They had water sprinklers going which was good because it was so hot! Our family enjoyed all the rides throughout the day. There is always a staff member nearby ready to help which was really great to see and we saw a lot of people cleaning the park throughout the day. I do wish there was more mobile food ordering available though, when we were looking only one location was offering mobile orders, so hopefully that will grow. Some of the rides were closed but no worries the water park mad up for that.
The water park was packed. The lifeguards were a bit lazy when it came to helping people in the lazy river and properly helping with rafts and people abusing the 2 lap rule.

I enjoy museums and tours quite a bit, but let’s be honest, for kids, they can be little bit like a church service. Six Flags gave my kids and me a break from the usual and gave them a chance to blow off steam. Our favorite rides were Superman, Bat Wing, Joker’s Jinx and the Firebird. Had a wonderful experience vacationing here with my family. 2.45 miles of beautiful boardwalk with lots to do from early morning to late evening stroll, walking, jogging, biking, shopping, dining, swimming, sun bathing or just relaxing on the countless number of benches, enjoying the fresh ocean breeze or sharing a meal with the birds. Don’t worry, there are many public restrooms along the board. very clean and felt very safe with many police officers patrolling the boardwalk through the day and night. Lots of street parking available and many excellent restaurants close by. It’s always been someplace I’ve enjoyed spending time with family ever since I was a kid and now that I have my own family it is no different. The sights, the sounds, the smells, its all there. I could just sit and people watch and be satisfied. There is so much to see and do. So many shops to visit, so much good food to try and cool pictures to take, I just can’t get enough. Lot of shops in the boardwalk , crowded for some but we enjoy the crowd , safe for kids due to strict rule enforced on smoking or drinking. So you won’t mostly smell the smoke in the boardwalk. Very clean , reasonably priced tram service in the boardwalk. Once full way priced tram is $4 per person (above age 1). Lots of food variety and feels like you are on real vacation spots. People are mixed age group mostly , bike rentals and bike stands were also available. Keep cash in hand or most of the shops accepts card.beach is easy access from any spots on boardwalk . Food prices in the boardwalk are above normal but would not say very expensive. There are few items like ice cream on cone are $7 for small size. Parking near by boardwalk on weekend could be around $20 or cheaper than that. Couple of ride park along boardwalk , one is in pier and one is little further. One ferrywheel ride along boardwalk is $10 per person or $30 for 4 person. I’ve seen Sandy Point many times while crossing the Bay Bridge and finally had an opportunity to visit. My only disappointment was I had waited so long to go to this excellent site.
The beach was huge and it wasn’t crowded. There is space for fishing, swimming, and just chilling by the water. There is also a wonderful trail system and spaces for camping etc. During the peak season, it appears there is a good & rental option but they weren’t opened when I came.
The views are also gorgeous here. Definitely stop at Sandy Point

During weekends it will be full before 11 am. The water is not so clean to dive for and you also need to be careful with jelly fish. The view of the bay bridge is just mesmerizing. It’s a long enough beach that you can find a spot if you walk far enough. Lots of kids. Especially during the week if you want to just enjoy the sun and lay out. During school months, it’s usually moms with kids under 5.. my son loved it, water is still a little cold in May, but great for the hot days we get closer to June. it’s clean, well kept. My family and I went yesterday to celebrate a birthday and for a trip down memory lane. It was a great time overall. We were lucky to get there early and have a great view of the lions and chimps. The zoo staff was friendly and engaging. Good trip all around. Work of warning that the zoo has had to move many of the birds as a precaution against the recent outbreak of bird flue. Keep that in mind and check the website for updates if you are looking to see birds like penguins on your trip.By Sarah Snead (9 months ago)We had a fun time, a quick trip so we didn’t see the whole zoo but we will be back. Watching the chimpanzees interact and the baby playing was super cute. I really liked seeing the historic section, the Victorian style cages were interesting and a reminder how far things have come from keeping animals for pure show to the masses with no space or enrichment to today where showing them is important, but their lives and well being is also very important. We even got to see the bears playing with a treat stuffed ball and the lemurs getting treats today. Also I love how much art the zoo has, in particular the Bart Walter bronzes having met him in my youth its always lovely to see his work. When you first walk in you see the old enclosures for animals back when the zoo first opened obviously the enclosures then were far too small and they kind of talk about that with the signs but it was still really interesting to see the zoo from the past they have a lot of really cool animals there the golden frogs were probably my favorite the penguins get fed at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. definitely recommend seeing that if you make it in time. They have fewer animals on display. Unfortunately couldn’t see many of them
. They have good facilities for the elderly who are unable to walk. They can use the carts or the toy train to move around. Mask is compulsory especially when you go inside the chimpanzee enclosure. I really wish they had more animals to see. One good thing is the enclosures are made in such a way that the animals feel it’s like their natural habitat.By Nuthan John (9 months ago)Came Friday before Easter and the line to enter was insanely long but expected it to be. Compared to the national zoo in DC this zoo is so much better, cleaner and has more to see. Unfortunately no penguins and no access to the aviarys due to the avian flu outbreak but you can see some birds from a distance like the bald eagle. Masks are required to enter the chimp forest exhibit. I personally enjoyed the goat corral as you can pet and brush the goats. Overall a great experience.By Chris Damien (9 months ago)

We wore our masks. Many people did not.
The staff was great. It was a pretty slow day, it seemed. We had a fabulous time.
We arrived at 12:45 and left at 4:45. We had a six and seven year old with us. I think we could have used an additional two hours to see *every single* exhibit available. (One of our kids wanted to skip several tanks to get to things she wanted to see.)
It was absolutely worth the trip. The staff were really knowledgeable and kind.
Such a beautiful experience to see life underwater. The best part is dolphin area and jellyfish section. It’s mesmerizing to see hundreds of different species under one roof. There are multiple levels of this aquarium, each with its own greatness. Love the entire experience. Best for kids! it’s great to see your little ones smile.
Worth a visit! The place is maintained well and has very informational exhibits. People of any age group will enjoy it. If you’re visiting, ensure you have at least 5 hours in hand. Exhibits close at different times so ensure to review timings. There are certain engagement activities like an activity corner (one exhibit display and an informative session for kids) and 4D movie which run by show times, make sure you’ve booked tickets ($5 per person) and are at the spot in time. Both these are approx 10 min each.
Facilities include wheelchair access, cafeteria, restrooms on each floor, lifts and escalators, family room for nursing/pumping. Two things to note are that the parking is a little far and strollers are to be checked-in (don’t forget to take a baby carrier).
This was a fantastic aquarium for a day trip! Everything was well curated with an easy path to follow. I thought that some of the exhibits were a little small compared to other aquariums I have visited, but I loved the variety of fishes and sea creatures. There was plenty to see and so many colorful and huge fish! There were several bathrooms that were clean and places to rest, a little cafe area, a lunch spot, sharks, jellyfish, and almost everything to make for a great tour of the sea. Apparently there are no more dolphin shows, but you are able to watch them train and play and that was a lot of fun. The only part that was a little disappointing was that we did not find a play section for little kids. I don’t know if it was closed or if we just couldn’t find it, but after looking at fish in amazement for a few hours, kids need to blow off some steam. Other aquariums have play areas, which is a huge help for families. Next time we’ll look harder or hopefully they will build a play spot in the future. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to coming back!

My wife and I visited and had a great experience. I have been many other times, but am still amazed at what you see here. The facility is modern, clean, and very accessible. And the animals and educational opportunity the provide is really over the top. I’m also glad they have made the decision to better care for dolphins versus using them as a show.
My only negative is the price, but managing a facility like this is expensive so I understand.
