  1. Great place for a picnic, walking and time spending. Very pleasant area. We been here for a picnic and had a wonderful family time. Small water beach is closed. Boat launch area will be full and it will be beautiful view for eyes. Great place and we are visiting again and again as we live in Hamilton. Cherry blossom trees are very beautiful when they are peak bloom.

  2. This park is beautiful and had a really good time with my family. We initially came here to have a barbecue and weren’t aware if we were allowed or not. So I asked a police officer and he said “Today is a beautiful day, go live a little”. After hearing that, we started barbecuing and no one stopped us or told us we couldn’t. This park also has lots of room to play certain things, we played badminton and frisbee and it was really enjoyable. The views of the lake were gorgeous and highly recommend to stay here for sunset.

We also got caught in an intense thunderstorm which was definitely an experience

  3. Best place to visiting for an evening walk. Sunset adds to the beauty of this place. It’s sad to see that the beach is closed here it could have been the cherry on top. Still a lot of action going around like kayaks, jet ski, fishing , cycling , jogging and more.

  4. My brother and I can walk around anytime through the day or night all year round. It’s a nice area to visit. We got to see the boats, that people own on the dock. They do have restaurant called Williams Fresh Cafe. They also have outdoor roller skating and ice skating. They have a hut, where you can buy fast food and beverages.

In the evening, we got to see the reflection of the sun on the lake, that was beautiful to see. They do have telescopes, we can look through to get a closer look. I always check their website to see what else they have for us to do and see.

They do have a free Parking Lot with Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lots. They do have Restrooms and Wheelchair Accessible Entrances.

  5. Excellent place to stroll along with your family and friends. Great walk with beautiful scenery. Lots of parking, great views of the boats in the water and the long waterfront trail create lots of scenic views. Nature and birds gazing at its best.

Gage park is such a lovely place in the city for all ages. Playgrounds and splash pad for the kids. Lots of room for sports and events. So many people out for walks or just a great place to have lunch in some nature. The free greenhouse is also a great place to see some beautiful flowers and take some stunning photos. Take a walk, run, ride or just sit by the iconic fountain at gage park.

Very nice and well maintained park. We just love this place. One of the best parks for kids to play. You can observe different types of trees over there. Great place for morning or evening walks.

Great park, usually busy on a nice day. Holds lots of events throughout the year including the Friends Festival in August. Love going to the greenhouse for the mum and spring bulb show, definitely worth it! Beautiful rose garden and grounds too. Just be aware that this is not the best place to linger late at night or alone at night, there have been some sketchy things that have happened here.

It is a very well maintained park. They really invest time and effort to keep it pretty. Good kids space with splash and playground. Not so many picnic tables but I believe that a blanket on the amazing grass will be a good experience.

I had a Birthday party for my boyfriend who just turned 65. We all had a great time. I brought my BBQ and all the fixings. We had such a great time that we were there for 8 hours 🙂 My cousin is going to have her daughter’s Birthday there soon too. My boyfriend was so happy that I may be able to persuade him into doing it again soon with a smaller group!

Such a nice place to go with kids for fun and was very knowledgeable as well. It was very exciting to see war planes and how they work. Kids can actually sit in fighter plane cockpit and learn some features of plane ✈️ . Even for adults it’s very good and unique place to visit. Felt really proud of our soldiers. They also have cafe and gift shop . Gift shop seems expensive but they do have few unique items to buy. You need maybe 2-3 hours to see this place. Overall wonderful place to visit.

This place is always fun. Lots of classic planes and the staff are friendly and always willing to provide information. We have never done it, but they also offer paid flights on classic aircraft which would be awesome. There is a good selection of classic warplanes and training aircraft. Well curated with lots of info on displays. The Lancaster is so impressive up close.

This has been the most amazing experience I’ve ever been to in Canada. Every single person that works there interacted with nothing with positivity and love and care about the place and also educated. I won hundred percent recommend this place but also to bring your kids to teach them.

Thank you for an amazing tour and I cannot wait to go back again.

Positive : Affordable price, friendly reception and beautiful collection. – Negative: Exhibition room partly reserved by a group so it was difficult to circulate in the building, several detours and it wasn’t possible to see some planes. Restaurant closed. At 4:45 pm, we’re told that it close at 5:00 pm. No need to remind us 6 (six) times and to follow us step by step for several minutes: “I’ll follow you”. We have a clock on us and it’s sure that we’ld have left, respectfully, on time. It’s at the limit of what we call harassment. No sign in French; a shame for such an important museum. But kids love planes…

It’s a lovely museum. I would say for plane enthusiasts and those interested in the history of Canada’s war efforts, this place is amazing. The staff are doing a great job restoring the old planes and the guides are very knowledgeable. For the average person it’s worth a visit.
