Majestic, idyllic and an incredible experience from start to finish. Every hole is spectacular, all the views are breathtaking and it’s definitely one of the most amazing course I’ve ever played. The course is well maintained, very challenging and and tricky in some spots but with the perfect backdrop. The service and staff was very friendly. It truly is worth the hype and the rankings. A course you could never possibly forget. You have to play it at least once in your lifetime. A fantastic walk with sunrise and sunset views, wildlife viewing, awesome terrain, a test of your game, and an unforgettable experience. With all those negatives I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed playing here. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. From the greeting from the staff to playing this iconic course it was amazing. It is costly but worth every penny. I will be back with my son to play. If it’s on your bucket list do whatever it takes, work extra hours,sell a kidney, whatever, to make it happen. One last thing, make sure you get a caddie. You will enjoy the squirrels here and their interactions are very cute. They come very close and give a decent postures which is fun to watch.

It was a beautiful experience. The drive was going around the beaches from inside the mountain and there were some beautiful homes in and around surrounded by the 17 Mile Drive. We saw a Deer passing through our drive during 17 mile drive. It was funny. 🤩👍🤩By SYED RAFI MOHAMMED (a year ago)There was a person in a blue shirt/vest from the museum with a spotting scope set up; it’s free they are amazing and teach you about what you are seeing. When we got there we had no idea so much movement but that spotting scope was locked in place and we could see all (about 7 otters) the otters sleeping in the sea weed/kelp. We learned a lot it was great to see and smell but look for the museum people with the blue vests and the spotting scopes on tripods it’s free!By Jared Peyton (6 months ago)Nice view point to see wildlife. There is a sign instructing to not feed wildlife. But I saw some people still doing it. It was a wonderful experience to drive around and then stop at these amazing points on the drive. There is so much beauty in nature and this place is a testament to that. When you look at this tree, you can’t help but admire its resilience and tenacity amidst terrifying odds. It’s still standing majestically as if to say, “is that all you got?”.
Definitely seen more “lone” cypress trees along the 17 mile drive compared to this one. Also we honestly did not find it an impressive sight. The drive is definitely impressive and worth the $10.75 but this pit stop is definitely more hype than real.
Very beautiful place on the 17mile drive. It is amazing to see a single Cypress tree on the tip of a rock. Sunset looks very beautiful from this place.
You may recognize this tree as the world famous logo for the Pebble Beach resorts and it was been so since it’s founding in February 1919. Just like the beautiful Torrey Pine in San Diego, this tree is native to this specific area and is not found anywhere else in the world. It’s a true California Landmark and another one of our beautiful native species. The area can get quite crowded with people taking pictures but honestly it is so beautiful that is some thing you need to see at least once. Driving on the 17 mile drive you will pass it as your midway point.
It’s hard to sum up in words how beautiful this place is, it’s best to just go for yourself, be quiet, and take in all the natural beauty.
Spectacular view of the lone cypress tree standing against all odds!! Actually you can spot many lone cypress trees along the 17 mile drive, but this baby gets more hype and it lives up to it. If you are a fan of the mighty ocean and the tree, then you might as well stop at this point to check out this amazing view and have your cameras ready. There was definitely plenty of parking spots.
