My kids and I really enjoyed camping here. It’s apparently they are working on expansion, however the sites were clean and well maintained- same for the restrooms. The sunset was beautiful over the water. Note that the terrain from the campsites to the waters edge is very steep in most cases. There is lake access available in the camping area, as well as a playground. If you want to drive over the public access area, it has more play equipment as well as a grassy area for picnicking with tables with views of the lake – and it’s much less steep!By Onna Koehn (7 months ago)Beautiful views of the lake. Quiet, calm, and perfect weather with the winds off the lake. It’s supposed to have great trails, but unfortunately they were under construction in our area. Some site are narrow and steep, but ours was a good size. Probably one of the more relaxing sites we’ve been to.By Amanda Rowan (a year ago)This place was great. Looks like they are still in renovation mode adding several more areas adjacent to the waters edge. There’s pebbles along the shoreline which kept the water from turning murky. Totally recommend this place for all kinds of outdoors family activities.By Sandy Beard (5 months ago)If you are looking for a place to relax and have some peace and quiet during the Winter months, ch cl out Saddlers Creek. The views are amazing, the bathhouse is clean, friendly staff. A must go winter spot.By Melanie Dugan, Real Estate Agent (10 months ago)There are a few really nice sites here. Campground 2 and 3 have some really uneven sites. Used every leveling block I had but was big enough for my small camper. There were at least 30 deer walking around during deer season.By Nick Carey (3 months ago)

Anderson downtown isn’t something like oh my gosh extraordinarily fantastical going to drop 20 miles to see it.. but if you’re in Anderson downtown is not too bad there’s some good restaurants there’s a chocolate shop that has delicious chocolates. A Christmas time there’s a big tree in the center of downtown which is really cool. The Police department downtown so just make sure that you don’t speak going through there it’s like 10 miles per hour.By Jennifer Jordan (2 weeks ago).Very pretty and nice shops. Large number of places to eat. Lots of historical buildings and things to walk around and enjoy.By Brenda Hunter (3 years ago)Went to Carolina Wren Park to watch Shrek the musical. Lovely little park right in the heart of downtown Anderson, SC. This spot is gorgeous for photo opportunities as well as a perfect wedding or event venue (which they do rent the space out in 3 different sections).By Casey Nicole (6 months ago)Nice place to hang out. They have live entertainment during the week including movies in the parkBy Melvin Hall (3 months ago)Nice, quiet, area, very peaceful. Cool to have some green in the downtown. I have changed my opinion on this park as time has went. It has grown on me. Anderson County does a good job at keeping it up and adding things to attract people.By Elijah “Chunk” Reeves (3 years ago)Beautiful well-kept park. Clean, and nice waterfall area.By Brian C Newman (5 months ago)Visited for Music in the Park, Block party. Nathan Angelo and band playing there. Music was awesome. Had a wonderful time. Nice newly renovated park and bonus!! It has bathrooms. The splash pad is great and the playground equipment is cute – love the soft rubber material on the ground. The pond next to the park is great to feed the ducks our old bread. ?By Molly Slesnick (3 months ago)Park is nice lots of cool kid friendly adventureous equipment. Only thing I seen that needs improvement is needs more shading. Some of the equipment was hot to get on. My grands really had a good time.By Laura Pace (3 months ago)Love the renovation! The new park is fun! We got there too late got the splash pad, but we will definitely be back.By Beth Dabney (4 months ago)We loved it! Great place for small children. It’s nicely fenced which makes it easier to keep an eye on them. Nice clean, huge restrooms. The restrooms have a big echo that can be heard outside so my best advice is, be careful of the words you speak, keep them soft and sweet, You’ll never from day to day which words you’ll have to eat. ?By maxine squillace (2 months ago)Loved the old park but the new updated one is even better. Lots of fun for little kids while keeping safety in mind. Great layout, fun thoughtfully designed equipment. Lots of space for kids to play and even some places for mindful parents to mix and mingle. The splash park is only open Saturdays and Sundays as far as I could tell so keep that in mind and pack accordingly.By Brannon Wilkie (3 months ago)

Went Opening Day, Sept 24, 2022. Love this place every time we go. Such a family friendly environment with lots of fun activities to do. The new big slide is awesome! ???
We had a blast! We have three kids (3,7,11) & all of them enjoyed it! The staff was all really nice. It was beautiful especially as the evening came. It was $25 to get in but there was tons to do and stay all day! The food was not bad priced to me. I honestly have no complaints! We will be back!
Denver Downs is a great place for families with young children, so many activities for the kids to do. There’s a corn maze, a giant tube slide, rock climbing wall, Zipline and more. They have pig races, BBQ food, funnel cake, lemonade and yummy kettle corn. They sell mum’s and pumpkins in the Fall. I paid $25 per adult to get in, I thought it was a bit pricey considering there is really not much for adults to do but if you have kids, it’s worth it.
Absolutely loved our first visit here as we were in town from Georgia. Definitely a during the week trip is best based on the crowds. I could imagine the weekends, but hey obviously that’s because they have a great thing going.
We had a blast! I brought my kids (ages 5 and 13), they both enjoyed themselves and were sad to leave. We loved the pig races, slide, zip line… everything! Seeing my kids smile, laugh and have a good time was very much worth it!
