  1. A beautiful place with a very pleasant atmosphere. Especially during spring. No eateries nearby, so don’t forget stuff some in your bag or better go for a picnic. Plenty of play areas with swings slides and mini climbing challenges. Playground is also very much child safe

  2. Very well maintained park in Kitchener. Very big splash area and kids play area with basketball courts. Nice lake in the park with swans and ducks. Parking can be difficult to find.

  3. Beautiful place to walk and relax. Ducks and swans can be seen swimming freely. There are many playgrounds for children and places to rest outside.

  4. This is a very lovely park. You feel super close to nature and can explore various playground equipment for kids and hiking/biking trails for the avid cycler.

I could see various pockets of people of all age groups gathered around the park, enjoying the amazing ambience after a busy day at work.

There’s a lovely bridge across a running river where you also catch a glimpse of ducks/geese traveling in orderly rows from time to time. Such a lovely natural experience!

  5. Victoria Park, in Kitchener, is a popular natural area with a beautiful lake having lots of aquatic birds, including swans.
There is a prodigious children playing ground with plenty of equipment and water splashing pads. Furthermore, the park has a variety of exercise machines where people could be seen exercising.
Also, the park is equipped with picnic areas with benches and tables. Moreover, there are many parking areas where you can find a place to park your vehicle, for free.

My friend from Waterloo who took us there, my wife, and I were; however, very disappointed and appalled to see encampments of homeless people.
It was, definitely, a non-pleasing, unwelcoming sight in a public park that is for children and families.
The park would have been a boon to the Kitchener- Waterloo dwellers had there been no tents of homeless people.

In my perspective, the homeless people should be shifted, asap, to a permanent and respectable place, away from such public places, by whichever government responsible.

Came here for the annual Oktoberfest Bavarian Feast. The buffet had a wide selection for cad 45/person. The drinks were separate at cad 8 per glass/shot/can of wine/liquor/beer. There was a live performance of German folk songs. The ticket also included free admission to the Koolhaus which is a more public and outdoor version.

We spent two nights in one of the container cabins. The cabin was still quite dirty even though it had just been cleaned. I get we are camping but the standards for cleaning aren’t there. The beds are beyond uncomfortable. Like sleeping on a piece of plywood. The bunk beds are loud so don’t move while sleeping on them. The fridge is the smallest fridge you can possibly buy so you definitely need a cooler. The bathrooms were filthy. Been to cleaner provincial park bathrooms. The Big splash water park was good. It is definitely in need to repair. The wave pool was beyond disappointing. It really isn’t a wave pool. Plus watch out when you are stepping because there are many missing tiles that create sharp spots. Pool was dirty too. Glad the splash pad worked the second day otherwise there wasn’t much for the little ones to do. It’s time money was spent to upgrade this park on all levels. Many areas were in disrepair and the park is definitely in dyer need of upkeep. Don’t plan on going back. Was great to try but won’t be returning.

Nice place to do camping by the river. The camp sites and washrooms are clean. Don’t expect much privacy while camping though. Each camp site comes with a picnic table and fire pit. You also get free pass to the pool nearby. They don’t enforce quite hours and we ( with kids ) had difficulty sleeping, as people are having fun till mid night. Also you hear frequent vehicular noise from the roads nearby. This isn’t like a provisional park camping, but the best you can get in urban location. During your stay, you can plan for river adventure for additional $$

Love this place. Our yearly trip to the lights was fantastic as always. But the Boston Pizza left a bit to be desired. Usually this place is spot on with service and food but this time was the first time we weren’t 100% happy. It started with our assigned lane still having folks sitting eating at it. No problem, they moved right away and were very nice. They left all their dishes and we had to ask to have it cleaned up. We helped and no problem it was done. But then the staff disappeared and we had to go ask if we ordered from the bar, or if they were coming over. They came over and took our order. In no time they were back with our drinks. Great. We started bowling and the food took a while to come. We had ordered the cactus cut fries and the banderas bread to start knowing it was busy and we would likely be waiting a while. Whether the order was put in incorrectly or they were too busy, the apps showed up with our meal. The bread was great but the fries were a bit crispy/burnt and we didn’t eat about half of them. Picture included. Also the mains came and we had ordered spaghetti and meatballs and spaghetti with a meat sauce. They sent fettuccine noodles. This was not a problem with the spaghetti and meatball eater but the other one is a kid, very fussy about noodles and was very unhappy. We asked the server and he checked with the kitchen and they subbed them out as they were out of spaghetti noodles. He was very apologetic as this was not his mistake. We wished they had told him to ask us, as our kiddo might have wanted a different noodle or a different meal at that point. But we didn’t get the option. So she ate what she could with a scowl on her face, lol.
Overall, the service was slower and we waited a while for him to come over to get drink refills. He was standing at the bar, tapping on the slushy machine. We were going to go over to get our refills and saw he was not busy but we did not go over as our food was on the table and we were eating and bowling. He did come over eventually and that’s when we discussed the food errors. He was very nice and after that did a good job taking care of us, getting us to go boxes etc.. He was very nice, and accommodated us in everything we asked for. We did not send the food back or get a new order of fries as we were already done at that point. He did offer but we said no its OK. We paid our full bill and left. Sadly this is the first time we have not been happy here and overall, this place is awesome. Great lights, great new outdoor area with more lights was very cool, bowling is always fun, arcade is great and the food is usually wonderful. So chalk it up to an off night. We will be back. It’s a great place for family fun and I would reccomend it to anyone. Cheers!

This is a fantastic place to spend some time outdoors. There are many trails to explore, with multiple ponds, an accessible paved pathway, as well as storybook pathway for children. Most of the trails are easy to traverse and there is plenty of local wildlife to discover. If you’re patient and conditions are right, you can even feed some chickadees (you’ll need to bring your own seed).

There’s also a natural playground that kids young and old love to play on, free parking on-site, and bathroom facilities available. There’s also a mini-interpretive centre with a few plaques with information on the history of the area and on the indigenous people and their way of life (how they corralled and hunted wildlife, fished, worked the land, etc.).

I’ve been many times over the years, including during the winter months, and I always love my time there, especially with the kids. We are lucky to have this natural area in our community, and I will continue to visit it in the years to come.

Always a beautiful walking park to visit. Many improvements since we discovered it 20 yrs ago. Some areas are perfect fora backdrop for fall family pictures or engagement and wedding photos. You never get tired or never get bored of the views of in repeat visits. So popular that parking is prime in the the lots of going on a weekend

It’s a fabulous place to have a long walk. Looks like we are in the woods., fishing and cycling and lots of place to spend any time of the day( unfortunately the park is closed after 5 or 6).
If you’re the one can enjoy the nature, this is the right place to visit. Small hikes and good views are inside the trails for better photography too.

Nice place for hiking for beginners. It has many routes with different lengths. It is also kids friendly and has a natural play area for kids. There is a place that we visited at which we can watch and feed the birds. The kids enjoyed it. The main concern is that its parking area is very small. We had to park in the street. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Really liked the park and the trail. Will be fun for riders. If you go through the trail, you will see bird view and feeding area! My son really liked the park and we are planning to pay a visit again soon.
