  1. After enjoying our day on Saysutshun island we took a stroll through the park deciding what to do for dinner. What a beautiful park with plenty to do and see. Great place to relax or get some exercise. Fantastic views of the area and warm welcoming atmosphere from the locals. Well maintained and really clean, highly recommended for a great visit for the day..

  2. Very beautiful park, visited here a few years ago, it was under construction at that time, and the scenery of the park could not be seen. Now the old place is revisited, and the eyes are bright, so beautiful! Love it here from the bottom of my heart!|07/09/2022

  3. A beautiful park, most of which is well kept. The play area is very nice. The water is clear and good for swimming. Near the bridge we saw crabs, starfish, clams and other wildlife.

Near the entrance from the parking lot there is a pavilion with water misting that the kids liked playing in.

Although pretty on the outside, the bathrooms are gross and disgusting.

Parking can be difficult at times, especially with the size of the park and the many people that like it.

  4. It’s a really chilled out spot to stroll around and spend 4-5 hours with your family and the parking is free for 3 hours!

There is a fantastic play area for kids, a mini version of beach and for adults there’s fishing area and an amazing stroll walkway. We enjoyed looking at the sea planes taking off and landing right in front of us. You also get a super close view of BC Ferries passing by along with smaller boats and jet skis. If you’re hungry the there’s an amazing Mexican diner and a typical Canadian Pub just minutes away if you walk towards the marina and pass by the sea plane dock.

    I’d definitely recommend to

  5. Such a beautiful ocean park/walkway/pier. So much to see and do or just enjoy a walk and all the water traffic and wildlife.

Just stopped here to stretch the legs and eat some lunch on our Easter 🐣 long weekend trip. Looks like an amazing place from the little area that we saw and we all want to come back when there is more time to walk around. The views look amazing and lots to look at. We will be heading back this way in a few weeks so hopefully we’ll make it work out. Highly recommended for all ages 👌 👍

A beautiful pebble beach where you can walk till the ocean and enjoy the sea from a rock. Careful at the end since it’s slippery. Lots of small living beings on the rocks and really beautiful place to enjoy the sunset.

A nice park with many trails. Follow the trail next to sea, you will enjoy a peace silk. When passa a narrow pass to a small island in sea that look like ET head, you will feel water touch each side. Then the trail turn into forest, you will find many doors infront of trees. These are spirit’s homes. It is a amazing world.

Absolutely beautiful park, my favourite in Nanaimo. It’s a superb place to catch the sunrise in the morning and even whales if you’re lucky. The park is beautifully maintained and there’s a wide variety of terrain which keeps the trail interesting. Highly recommend you stop by even if you are just passing through Nanaimo.

Beautiful in the summer even winter. The place is so scenic and instagrammable. We enjoyed our lovely walk on the trails.

However, this winter the parking lot is not open. We park beside the school.

We really enjoyed our day here and hope to come back soon. The sun was out and so was everyone else looking for some time to relax in the sun. Great views from almost any vantage point. Got in some good steps walking around and checking the place out. Found a few starfish and cool looking mini crabs all different colors too. Water was still a bit cold but was fun for my kids. The drive up here was amazing and relaxing. Definitely coming back here again and I highly recommend coming here for the views and fresh air

Great place for a swim and a walk, free showers outside in car park for after your swim and lovely clean toilets, plenty of space to park your car. You can swim in the Sea or the Lagoon, really need swim shoes for sea as it’s rocky and a bit cool but I was ok in just trunks, very refreshing, can get a bit choppy so don’t venture out too far without a tow float. Lagoon more sandy and warmer and safer.

Pipers Lagoon and Park has both an exposed beach and a more sheltered beach. Even on the exposed beach side of the path there’s a small bay that’s great for swimming in the summer. This path that is between the lagoon area and the exposed beach carries on and leads to a variety of trails to explore. If you’re able to climb a bit to crest the rocks at the end of the initial easy and accessible pathway, you will find a well worn main path that takes you on a short hike around the rock that has many beautiful and interesting views of the surrounding ocean, lagoon area and the historical “Shack Island”. Be prepared for protuding roots and rocks on the trails, once you reach the end of the initial walkway and crest the rocks to this path.

First time swimming here. Beware of the tides. The ferry boat waves come in like rollers. Be aware of the current path to not swim to far out. Parking is a nightmare when it’s hot out! I love the fresh water shower they have installed. The beach has its Rocky, pebble and sandy sections.

Beautiful views. Ample parking. Short, flat gravel pathway that walks between the ocean and lagoon. Short paths down to beach. Was there on a sunny spring day with a brisk cold wind and it was still awesome.
