An awesome space to enjoy the sea, and appreciate the outdoors. There is wheelchair accessible parking conveniently located to the beach and docks. The socks are at a convenient angle so they should be okay to go down with assistance. It is important to be careful for ice or wet surfaces as it can be slippery. They were some of the best fireworks I’ve ever seen. It was absolutely packed. There were plenty of food vendors available and Porta-Johns. The town of Burlington did a phenomenal job with the police escort of the city buses back to the university where we parked. Absolutely amazing place with so much to see, for the young to adults. Grab a map and figure out what’s your move. I found myself having to stop the kids from just running up to an exhibit and touching everything and if it would interact in any ways, and if not then they’d run to the next thing- there is a some of reading involved so you know the instructions before you can do the actual activity for most of them. So, I had to call them back, read the instructions to them, then it was actually a cool thing to do. I have two kids ages 4 & 6. They just wanted to physically do everything without really knowing what they were supposed to be learning about and I tried to explain few things from science prospective. So, adults, keep up and get engaged along with them so they know how to complete the activities and maybe learn something from them.
they have indoor water activity a lot of other play activities including slides and play areas. The aquatic animal exhibit is also awesome. A mesmerizing view of the lake Champlain from this place is so great that you can’t compare with anything else. If you visit this place in the evening he can probably get a chance to take the sunset pictures from upstairs which is breathtaking. There’s a cafe and gift shop. So much to do and see, could be an all day thing if you want to get your money’s worth.

This is a great business to bring kids big and small. Lots of fun exhibits. They have short movies showing often, interactive experiences from natural ecosystems to IT. I recommend looking at the the museum pass that covers other science museums as well. The live animal exhibits are great, and the interactive science displays are interesting, informative, and well made.The whole museum doesn’t take too long, so its a good stop between activities in Burlington.
By Jun Simons (4 months ago)Good place to go while in Burlington. This place isn’t an aquarium. It’s a children’s museum with a water theme. There’s a lot of turtles and some fishes. We liked the 3D show and the demo/class teaching us about rat snakes. The children love the play areas where there are grocery store, cafe, water tables, boats. The grownups enjoyed sitting outside on the deck and enjoying views of the lake. And the soft serve ice cream outside was so good, try the orange flavor! We visited here while on vacation. It was such an incredible experience. We had a group of eight, including two kids. We all had an amazing time wandering the grounds and exploring the exhibits. We were only there for a few hours, so we did not even get close to seeing everything. One can spend hours in there. Some parts of the museum are really interactive, such as the Blacksmith and the Printer Shop. A huge memorabilia of American History. It’s like 40 museums in one go – there are carriages, and antique duck decoys, and at least 4 art museums. There’s a full sized-train, a miniature circus parade, a lighthouse and a whole steamboat! There are pioneer buildings, a print shop, a church, a schoolhouse, on and on. Your ticket is good for 2 days and I suggest you use them! I planned a full day but my phone battery died from taking too many pictures so I came back to take pictures of what I missed, and I found whole sections I had overlooked the first time! And that’s not even counting the beautiful gardens.
Make sure to take any tours you come across. I did a tour of the steamboat and two of the houses you can only visit on a tour, so make sure to catch those, the’re very worth it and you see stuff you wouldn’t see otherwise. Highly recommended and a complete, and delightful, surprise.

Right on the waterfront in downtown Burlington you can find Foam Brewers. This is an excellent place to stop in for a drink offering a large dog friendly patio (and a food truck out front) and a very cool indoor space with lots of beers on tap to choose from. We had a cheese plate that was great and the beers were all excellent. Another major bonus to Foam was the large parking lot it has making it easy to drop in. Beer selection is small but they have great beers, the brewery is beautiful itself and has a nice patio outside. They had quite a few beer options for my spouse. There were 3 cider options for me, that were all local. The one I had was good, but I prefer gluten reduced/deglutenized beer instead.
I would’ve given them 5 stars if they had even one option for me, in the plethora of gluten free/gluten reduced options that are on the market currently.
By Shanah Bell (2 months ago)This was my 4th brewery stop after visiting the almighty World’s Tallest Filing Cabinet, so it definitely had some expectations to live up to from previous breweries. My friend and I actually only stopped at this brewery because the other one we tried to go to in town was packed and the line wasn’t moving. So we walked to this one and it was packed as well, but we went inside and got a beer. There was nowhere to sit outside so we stood, along with many others and noticed the beautiful waterfront view down the way. It was about a 2 minute walk down to the water, and the perfect spot for sunset after an IPA. I’m not a huge IPA fan/very picky with them I definitely feel like there is a flavor for everyone there. 10/10 IPA and staff was nice, makes sense why the place was packed!By Alyssa Defranco (a month ago)I thought their beers are very good, and I liked that they make a variety of sours. 5.14.22 If you enjoy people watching, this is the place. I’m not an attention getter so was a bit surprised by the number of freaks and people dressed in such ways that you just had to stare. There’s a time and place for everything so if you have little kids with you, be prepared to see just about anything. On the positive, there are great food venues, music, good energy, and the streets were clean.
Great pedestrianized road. Tons of cool shops and eateries. We stopped in at a lot of places and there was so much to look at. No cars, lots of walking room. We stopped to watch a magic show and listen to some music. Wonderful on a Saturday afternoon.
I love the vibe here! There was every type of shop, live music, and fun for the single traveler and family alike. There are great pictures to take and it is a short walk to the Lake Champlain shore for a great sunset.
Church Street Marketplace is an open market place about three blocks long starting from Main Street. It is a street that was blocked and for pedestrians only. Church Street is lined up with shops and restaurants along with Burlington VT City Hall. We were there during the Festival of the Fools and we don’t know why it’s called it like that ? There were various street performers who came from all over the country to perform on that day. We had a great time, and it’s a great experience.
Burlington is a great town. Our first stop on our trip to Canada. Church St. Market place had live music. The city has a wonderful vibe. Lots of pedestrian friendly areas all around the college and down town. Good restaurants, shopping, activities, etc. All sitting right on the edge of lake Champlain. Definately a stop in or a fun place to spend a few days
