  1. We had sooooo much fun here, staying over yonder in south haven we scooted here in just a short 45 minutes through blueberry fields and strawberry fields. The airway fun center was super fun for my kiddos 5th birthday! We played putt putt, video games, laser tag, virtual reality, rope coarse all for under fifty bucks! Tuesday is the day to go it’s all half price! The staff was so friendly and helpful! We also hit the bowling alley and had a ball?.

  2. Had tons of fun but prices add up fast. The putt putt course is right next to the go kart track leaving a lingering exhaust smell for all 18 holes. The gyroscope harnesses don’t tighten enough to hold you in place so you get jerked around a bit. The arcade was fun but games range from $1.25-$6.00 per play. Staff was friendly and the building was clean.

  3. Emphasis on FUN! This place offers multiple fun activities to do with children and adults. We enjoyed the SPARK bowling with its interactive floor light displays, and mini golf. Tuesdays are half off for mini golf! Purchase a Fun Card, it makes it convenient. I will be returning to experience an escape room, the climbing wall and go karts. Check it out! Right on Portage road in Kalamazoo !

  4. We spent $100 on the arcade games here. Clean, nice selection and updated games. Our kids and we all had a great time! They have big and cool bowling alley, go carts, sky ropes, lazer tag, small jet coaster and more! Such a fun place to spend a day.

  5. We bowled and had pizza and fries. It was a good time. This was Sunday around 2pm. Not over crowded. Nice clean environment. Decent family deals. Staff was friendly.

I would recommend eating before you go. Had we bought individual meals it would have been costly.

Every weekend there’s something different going on here at this gorgeous city park in the heart of Downtown Kalamazoo! From an Art Fair, to musical celebrations, to festivals – Bronson Park ?️ is a wonderful place to spend some time while visiting Kzoo. (NOTE: The War Memorial Walk and lovely gardens here are a must-see!!)

This was an interesting visit to an iconic landmark in Kalamazoo. I have heard that even though it’s winter, all of the statues have been permanently moved out of the fountain. And somebody (with an ironic twist) put masks on the statues.

Beautiful Park. Well maintained. Attractions: excellent musical events (KZ Symphony Orchestra – amazingly terrific), food truck day, etc. Immediately adjacent: KZ public library, several churches.

I want to start off with, true hospitality is STILL alive! We found nothing but that during our stay at the Historic Henderson Castle. The staff went above & beyond to make sure our stay was memorable.

When you stay here, you are walking back in time & enjoying the history in which the staff/ owner are caring enough to help preserve. With that in mind, the reviews from those who are not familiar with preserving & caring for living history definitely reflect! If you want a mainstream hotel space & amenities then don’t take the time to come here, because this beautiful place does not deserve the harsh reviews that are reflected due to their mainstream hotel perspective! If you want a TRUE living history experience, please come share in what we were able to experience!

The Queens Tower was our favorite room we were able to see(we had the pleasure of seeing ALL of them on the tour because there were no stay overs the day we checked in!) & we had the pleasure of staying in this one too! We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast by room service on our beautiful in room balcony(incredible view!) . Take the time to schedule the wine & history tour as well! So worth it!!

Thank you to all the Henderson Castle staff that went above & beyond during our stay! True piece of History you are preserving !

I got married at this venue in August. If you are looking for a small ceremony and photo opts with your own photographer I highly recommend the castle. However, this venue promised many things in a package my husband and I paid for that were not followed through with.
The package we chose was supposed to make the experience less stressful but ended up being more stressful. There was a huge lack of communication after we signed our contract. After asking for the vendors names or businesses multiple times, we were always told that they would get a hold of us.
We had 61 people for dinner, the food was raw for multiple tables. This took us by suprise as our tasting was phenomenal and everything was cooked to perfection. Our “photographer” was an amateur in a professional setting. She was very sweet and seemed very professional but our photos look like anyone with a digital camera could’ve taken them; we are so glad we payed for an additional photographer after we still hadn’t heard from the venue’s photographer 6 months prior to the wedding.
The castle was beautiful, and the bakery they used did an amazing job. The DJ service provided was phenomenal. The servers were amazing and handled themselves very professionally, even when the food errors were mentioned.
There were many good things as well as some negative. If Henderson Castle is a venue you would like to use, I recommend getting a list of vendors before signing your contract.

Loved our stay! Historic and beautiful mansion with wonderfully decorated rooms! The view from the rooftop is spectacular!! The staff was super friendly amd helpful. The bed was quite comfortable. We had a large room with a sitting area and bathroom with whirlpool tub and shower. The Italian room is one of the larger rooms so if you want more space, this is a great option! Would definitely stay here again!

For starters, it was very difficult to get anyone to answer the phone to even book my stay let alone to answer any questions. When I finally talked to someone the woman was rude and not able to answer my question. Despite this, booked three rooms for 6 of us for a weekend. The castle is pretty cool but old (that was expected). The beds were uncomfortable in all three rooms though. It was not very clean. We booked the Haunted History Dinner which was horrible. We expected ghost stories that happened in the castle along with a history on the people who built it and lived there. Instead it was pretty much a three hour commercial for the guy’s paranormal you tube channel. Not to mention my 18 year old being singled out as a “non believer” by one of the presenter’s assistants. It made my 18 year old very uncomfortable causing her to leave before the end. The food at the dinner was terrible. The chicken was dry and the proportions were totally uneven between plates. Where the dinner was held is surrounded by rooms and the spa. My daughter and niece stayed in a room off the dinner space which would have been awkward if we hadn’t been in the dinner. A couple did come out of the spa in robes in the middle of our dinner. They looked mortified and embarrassed! The bar drinks were decent but very expensive for Kirkland Vodka! The second night, my mom and sister’s room had a ceiling leak. The staff couldn’t get a hold of the owner and apparently had no authorization to do anything. Finally another staff person was called in from home and booked them a room in a nearby hotel. Rather than refunding their room, the owner refunded the brunch for the six of us, which was weird since we didn’t all move to a hotel. I would not recommend staying here. We did catch the end of a drag show after the boring dinner which was fun! I would say if you want to visit the castle go to the drag show! Also, Lou was the best staff person there. He is awesome!

I can not say enough wonderful things about my most recent stay at the Henderson Castle. From the moment we had any contact with the staff, every moment was luxurious. Julie greeted us warmly at the door and escorted us up to our wonderful room, the “Italian Suite.” The room was beautifully decorated with champagne, roses, rose peddles and chocolate covered strawberries. Later that evening we sat in the spirits lounge under the direction of Shawna the most fantastic bar tender I have ever met. She truly knows how to make the best chocolate Martini. Not only can she make the best drinks but she is also quite the conversationalist engaging all the guests in conversation and truly getting to know them and make them feel right at home. Jaquar, the hotel manager was also amazing in making sure our stay was wonderful. I can not say enough wonderful things about my stay at this beautiful Historic Inn. I hope to be back to visit there very soon. This staff and castle Rocks!!!

My husband and I got married at the State Theater in June 2022 and we don’t have enough words to describe how wonderful the entire team was. The surroundings were gorgeous and everyone helping us on our day made us feel relaxed and stress free! Our guests and we were able to completely enjoy ourselves knowing that the State Theater had our backs. I simply cannot recommend them enough.

Beautiful theater! Sound quality is terrific here. I don’t think there is a bad seat! I’ll apologize for the photo quality because Joe Satriani can really make those guitars sing!

Beautiful theater. Came to see Joe Satriani. Acoustics were phenomenal, seats comfortable, not horrible beer prices, idk how large the bathrooms were anywhere other than the entrance but there were 2 stalls. I know its an old venue and it’s historical hence the rather long line to enter even as the show had started. Maybe doors opening sooner? But I understand why with there only being 2 entrances.
    Fantastic place!

Some of the best concert venue staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Not a single one of them was anything less than pleasant. Cheap concessions, good view from the majority of the seats. One downside is the floor level in the theater is a steep slope.

Beautiful theater, great sound, seating and friendly staff. Saw Kamasi Washington there and I had a great experience. Upcoming notable bookings include Lucinda Williams and Cheap Trick.

Amazing! I cannot say enough good things about this place! It was the highlight of our trip to Kalamazoo! The staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful. The exhibits were fantastic and the fact that one price gets you everything once you’re inside was awesome! My youngest son and I loved the flight simulators! It was a blast and truly fun for the whole family! If you are in the Kalamazoo area, I HIGHLY recommend a trip to the Air Zoo!

We are from Iowa and are visiting family in the area, so we decided to check out the air zoo. My four year old loved the rides and all the interactive exhibits. The adults enjoyed all the cool old planes and learning about them. I enjoyed the androids section! Lots of fun stuff. Worth a visit. The volunteers are great too, very friendly and helpful.

We went on a family outing here and had a great time. We went during the week so it was not busy at all which allowed for a more leisurely walk through the museum. There were exhibits, interactive learning stations, and rides. It has something for all ages. I appreciate that the museum makes a effort to highlight minorities and women for their contributions to aviation. We watched a movie on women’s suffrage in the theater. We are planning another trip to be able to spend more time. We spent about 2 hours and could have spent more.

We visited this with our four year old son and spent a few hours. There is so much to take in. We learned a ton. My son was able to ride the aircraft rides a few times and they were so fun. They also have a restoration center in a separate building where you can climb in the cockpit of a few different aircrafts. We ate lunch at the Kitty Hawk cafe and it was great food! I would definitely recommend! You could easily spend a whole day here.

This place is very unique and enjoyable for all ages. The kids love coming here because they have some really cute, clean, safe rides that they can enjoy. The lines are usually very small or even now wait. They keep the place very clean and tidy. The staff are friendly. There are so many things to do here. There are a lot of things that you can look at, some things to play with, some things to ride in, a movie theater, and a good mix of everything. I definitely recommend checking this place out! We bought a membership and the membership even gives you discounts on other museums.
