I loved going to this zoo with a friend. There is a lot of walking and the enclosures were larger than I have seen in a while.
The playground was massive, great food options and appreciated that the animal show was very educational.
Also being a vet tech, I enjoyed going to the vet building and seeing the babies and a surgery that was taking place.
The carousel was amazing as well, fun for all ages.The only downside I had, was there didn’t seem to be many water bottle refill stations.

The only thing we would change is certain sections would only have one way in and out. Once you passed all the animals you had to turn around and pass them again to move on to another section. Our kids also enjoy the rides. I highly recommend visiting. The zoo has been adding exhibits and making improvements. We recently got to experience the 4D theater. We look forward to what the future holds.By Jonathan Francis (3 months ago)Small zoo with great exhibits. Many of the enclosures have different vantage points so folks can observe animals easily. Ample seating and lots of shade makes this little zoo very accessible for young children and elderly patrons.I went in the morning and all of the animals were active and noisy! There were zookeepers with animals along paths offering up close, hands-on education. I was able to spend over 4 hours observing and reading. It was a very enjoyable way to spend an afternoon!
You can bring your own water bottles and there are fountains and refill stations throughout if you don’t want to purchase extras. Gift shop prices were reasonable and had something for everyone.

By Jamie T (2 months ago)I read some very negative reviews and was very skeptical about visiting but I’m so glad we did! It is an awesome zoo! My kids loved it, as did my husband and I. A lot of the enclosures are in an open environment and the animals looks content and well cared for. There are several things also connected with the zoo like 4D theater, dino trek, zip line, and a few other things (these things do cost extra but are very responsible). The food and beverages are of course a pricey but its to be expected. The staff were helpful and friendly. I will absolutely be visiting again while we are in town.By Rebekah Shaw (4 months ago)

This was an experience that I will never forget in my entire life. I think I was most excited to go here over anywhere else in Nashville. We purchase tickets in advance and therefore were allowed to go straight in. You start on the third floor and work your way down to the first floor where the exit is. I thought that was very smart. The displays were incredible! I love older Country Music and they did not disappoint. I would love to come back here with my kids one today. I know they would love it as much as I did. We had a great time learning all about the history of country music and all about current country music!! WOW! so much cool stuff! What a fun time! We paid for the guided tour and that helped a lot and I definitely recommend it. It was just a simple device that you put in the number of the display that your looking at and it tells you all about it. They have the Elvis limousine in there and so many other cool things. In addition to the clothes and even shoes and cowboy boots they wore, the famous guitars they played, you’ll see their Gold records, awards and videos. Their famous tripped out cars like Elvis ‘ Gold Plated Cadillac and Wes’ Gun studded ride. From the early day stars to the present and my all-time favorite, Patsy Cline. Nashville is blessed to have this beautiful park in the middle of the city. There’s enough parking to support an entire music fest. The trees ? mostly cover the walking track so you can walk even before sunset. Sometimes you can find ice cream trucks or food trucks there. They also occasionally have fairs or festivals here. A couple of musicians practice there occasionally, and I love the presence of music around. I have also found some artists paint under the tree. $10 admission to go through the museum. Very Informative, long, fascinating, and interesting. I thought it was worth the price per person. The building was beautiful to see up close. Many photographers were there. Tours available for $10 or you can visit the gift shop for free. Many other mini attractions within the park to visit at no charge. Check out a free map of the park on Google for more info. Lots of beautiful statues and walking spaces. A nice dog park just across the street (they still call it within Centennial Park, but drove myself nuts looking for it). Lots of shade. Awesome place to walk, read or jog or tour for the day! It’s really such a pretty and relaxing spot right in the city, and 40 years later I still enjoy coming and walking around or setting up my Eno and chilling here. Beautiful flower garden during the warm season, great place to catch a concert or play when they are happening. Fun spot to bring your dog, a picnic, an instrument or toy. It’s pretty safe to walk around and enjoy the scenery! Not too far from Vanderbilt which you can see their football stadium from afar! Loved it! Wish I would’ve gone during the daytime to first enjoy the park and then visit inside as it gets dark out. Worth the $10. Fairly quick if you don’t stop to read all the information pertaining to the exhibits. I do, it’s informative and descriptive enough to allow you to transport in time! Recommend! Although we visited on a bitter cold day, we spent a fair amount of time on the outside and inside exploring. The way the old remnants are displayed at the end of the museum were presented very nicely so you could see what part they came from the top frame of the building. The park is also quite tranquil, it’d be an ideal place to read a book or just relax. When we visited there was a display from some modern artists, more historical paintings, as well as displays detailing the 1987 Tennessee Centennial and International Exposition (for which the Parthenon replica was built), and displays detailing the building of the Parthenon and its contents. The statue of Athena is impressively large in person and worth the cost of admittance on its own ($10).
We went on a weekday so it was not crowded at all, and spent about an hour walking through it slowly and reading the plaques. If you don’t care to stop and read everything you could probably blow through in 20 minutes or less.
There is free parking just a short walk from the Parthenon, though even on a slow weekday it was pretty full with only one or two spots open when we arrived.

Doesn’t have too much Greek history and myths but it has a small amount. More of the museum was dedicated to the actual act of building it and the time it was built. Kinda wish there was more on the Greek history and why they choose the Parthenon of all things back when they built it for the fare but overall still kinda interesting if you need to kill some time.By Paige Vickers (2 months ago)I visited this beautiful park and museum on Sunday September 18, 2022 and was completely transported to a historical time in our world history. The Parthenon is a life size replica of the Temple in Greece and was an anachronistic creation of local artists whose own stories are now embedded in the history of Nashville. I would not have missed visiting this place and intend to continue visiting as long as I reside here in Tennessee. Bring your family and teach your children. I loved this tour so much!!! It was really cool to see all the backstage things for the Grand Ole Opry. The dressing rooms were really interesting to look at. They seem so simple but in my head, they were a lot fancier than they actually are. Most of them don’t even have their own bathrooms. Our tour guide was great! He told us which celebrities saw which dressing rooms. We were able to go on stage as well. I really recommend this tour & hope to one day see a show there.
The venue is nice and you can see fine from anywhere. We were in the last row and didn’t have any problems. The seats are like church pews. They were comfortable. The show itself was entertaining as well. They had a variety of acts and each performed for around 15 minutes. It was nice to have them changing frequently. That way if they have one that you don’t like much it will switch out in a few minutes.
We couldn’t believe how close we were to the stage, but I don’t think there is a bad seat in the house. They also have big screens to watch the artists up close. There was a good variety of the Old and the new music. We even got to listen to a hilarious comedian, although many of the musicians made us laugh too. Seats were comfortable, bathrooms clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food and beverages were also available to take to your seats to enjoy. Don’t miss it! Every show is unique.
AMAZING! LOVED IT!! We saw several artists but that night we were paying tribute to John Anderson. Who sounds just as good as he always has. He’s a timeless classic! We loved Deana Carter as well. I wish I could have heard her sing more. I’ve always loved her. We were right on front and had an amazing view!
While visiting Nashville we took in a show at the Grand Old Opry. We arrived a little early, so my wife and I sat on one of the pews in the lobby as we split an order of nachos purchased from the concession stand. The Grand Ole Opry concessions have a good variety to choose from for a quick meal or snack: nachos, sandwiches, salads, flat breads, soft pretzels, pop corn, etc. After our snack we went to our seats. Seating at the Grand Ole Opry is on padded pews. The padding is appreciated as the show lasts about three hours.
But what a show it is! Every act is professional and spot-on. And the show offered a great variety of acts: traditional country, contemporary country, gospel, and Latin country. The Grand Ole Opry also features both “classic” artists from previous decades as well as newer artists currently climbing the country charts.
I really liked how the show kept moving. There were only a couple minutes between each act as the tech crew quickly set the stage for each upcoming artist with awesome precision. I’ve been to shows at other venues with multiple acts, and it is common to wait 45 minutes between acts as the stage is set. So, I was very impressed that at the Grand Ole Opry the acts seamlessly transitioned from one to the other.
We enjoyed the show and the venue. A trip to Nashville really isn’t complete without a visit to the Grand Ole Opry.
