We got to see so much history and natural beauty. It was nice to stroll the river walk and see the bridges and restaurants that line the scenery. There were many Hotels that were along the river with great views. The shops around the village were nice to escape the heat. There were a lot of people in the heart of the Riverwalk but it was really cool to see the popular photos I’ve seen over the years. All ages can appreciate this area. It’s beautiful day or night. You should visit during both times and see if you have a preference. We like the day, but we often find ourselves doing other things that are closed in the evening, and visiting the River walk at night, but it’s a great spot any time of day. The walkways are right at rivers edge on both sides. Ducks frequent the water. The water level is just beneath sidewalk level and many areas do not have railings and you can be right next to it. However most places you sit and eat will have railings and such. There are a lot of places to eat, or get treats. There’s often live music at a place or 2, and even a drug store for your misc needs. It’s beautiful, classy, a great place for your family, or just you and your significant other. I highly recommend stopping down here if you are passing through. If you plan to, check to see when the next parade of lanterns is. The place is overcrowded but extends onto quieter streets. River Walk is animated, lively and relaxing at the same time. I walked almost 6 miles that day and it was so beautiful the entire walk. There is so much to do and see in regards to local vendors, little shops, and so many restaurants to choose from for a bite to eat. The architecture is stunning and if you get tired you can take one of the visitor boats along the river for a little excursion. We loved the place. If your kid is 48” or higher and it is open to the different attractions. This is the perfect place! Come ready in your bathing suit. I went to the dry interests and ended a perfect day in the water attractions. My son and I had a blast.
Note: parking is around $35.00, and food is a little high in price. You can bring your six-flag fountain soda refill bottle and pay a fee for refills all day or pay for a six-flags bottle and refill all day (we did that). Anywho, it was worth every penny. ?

I would say that this park had much more intense rides then some of the other parks I’ve been to, but honestly, for me, that made it a lot more fun! We happened to come here on senior trip day, which made for some long lines, but I feel that on a normal weekday it might not be quite as packed.Throughout the day rides came online while others went offline, however even with that we were able to still get to all the rides we wanted to ride! A few rides were closed in general because of the new ride they are putting in called Cliffhanger I belive. Due to the construction the rides closest to this one were taken offline for safety. It does appear however that that ride and the surrounding ones should open again by summer of 2022.
All in all a good fun, family friendly park, with something for everyone.

You can also find many options for food. I would definitely recommend to purchase the flash pass it helps a lot if you want to enjoy all the rides. Rides are good and staff is friendly, but the park cleanliness, food and overall upkeep is rough. Paid $20 for food that tasted like cafeteria leftovers, tables and chairs all dirty, trash all over the park. We had an excellent time here with our family and friends. We recommend getting there as early as possible. The park opens for 10am and we were able to stop get the up close parking. The park is spread out and the rides are great. Definitely get a fast pass so you don’t have to wait on line, it’s totally worth it. Also, get your drinks that can be refilled for free all day. It’s the only way to survive the heat, that and the amazing Chill Out Bar!By Emily Henderson (5 months ago)Parking was packed but enough for everyone. We walk through the gate without any problems showing our tickets from the phone. We had the all day meal plan which is a must if you’re planning to spend the full day there you will recover the $30 in your first meal. All the rides were really good some of them were just a five minute wait which is awesome even though the park was full. The park is small enough that you can walk from one end to another in a couple minutes but make sure to bring comfortable sneakers and sunscreen. Lockers are available throughout the whole park and you can rent them per hour or a full day pass. It’s Sea world so come mentally prepared to get soaked in some of the attractions. If you stay long enough you will be able to watch a night show and if you’re lucky some fireworks too. Overall the park is great however there are a few areas of opportunity on the logistics with the waiting lines on some of the attractions. I loved the shows and the amenities at the park. You can leave and re-enter the park several times during the day. Some of the rides were down and the puffins were closed on today we visited. There were short lines for some rides, all of the shows were great, and we got right into the shark tour for an up-close view of some sharks. Only two complains: the food was very expensive. One slice of pizza was $15 & fountain drinks were $5. And on the day we went, the water park wasn’t opened.

Good zoo. I really enjoyed how it’s set up. We went during a cold day so there was some things we didn’t get to see but it was nice having the dinosaur’s out around the zoo. Good variety of animals. There are so many uniquely different animals. The animal exhibits were well taken care. The animals were very active. There were many different activities for children. Patrons could feed various animals for a fee. The parking lot is smaller and finding a parking spot can be difficult. I saw so many animals out. I loved all the fish in water exhibits, which was throughout the zoo. Pretty impressive bird collection. So many kid friendly areas and lots of restrooms peppered throughout. I’ve been to lots of zoos throughout the US and this has to be in my top 3!By Kim S (8 months ago)Came on this vacation to check out local animal sanctuaries and get a few experiences in with wild animals. The San Antonio Zoo shows a lot of love with its exhibit design. The terrariums are well-designed and the animals seem pretty content where they are. The animals have places where they can hide if they’re stressed, which may irritate some zoo-goers, but I’m glad that the Zoo gave them that. Some of the birds are also just hanging around freely within the park! The cool zones were all really neat, and a nice way to get out of the heat.
I went through the entire zoo twice in about 3 or 4 hours, which I feel is a nice size for a zoo. If I didn’t see an animal in the first walk through, I saw them in the second. I also fed the birds! It was an absolute joy!

My biggest compliment to the folks who run, guide and maintain the Alamo is that they don’t let the commercialism overshadow the reverence, particular Texans, have for this place. It is a museum, a tourist destination, and a great source of living history. You see the church much as it was constructed although most of the mission is now gone. you have wonderful photo opportunities. It is full of signs and stories and including guided tours where you should leave there fully educated as to what happened on that faithful day. Oddly enough for those who have not been there, the Alamo is located in downtown San Antonio only a couple of blocks walk from the Riverwalk. So any visit to San Antonio,whether the first or many, should always include a brief visit to such a famous American landmark.
Simply put-you truly need to visit!!! I love visiting The Alamo, and have made the journey twice from Austin in the past year. The preservation and detailed historical data is something to behold. It is amazing for us to look at a historical battle site that is hundreds of years old and be able to envision the events that occurred there. As you walk the grounds to intricately laid out details it will be a huge wake up call and an expansion of your knowledge base. This is a must see for all.
The Alamo was beautiful to see in person. My wife and I enjoyed seeing it because we love to visit historical places. The building holds such rich memories. The architecture alone is astounding. If you are ever in San Antonio, I would encourage you to go by and witness it. We also had a tour guide and it was all worth it.
They are currently in *Construction Mode* to expand and they are scheduled to be completed with those works after the New Year! Tickets are FREE, and simply require you to reserve a specific entrance time! Good additions to this trip are a Hat for the Sun, and some water for the heat, they were accepting of water bottles!
This is a really good stop on any road trip, A/C is throughout, and there are a number of surrounding restaurants and establishments. There is a LOT going on, and at any time of the day there will be moderate crowds. It’s not too bad, but still very noticeable.
The Alamo is just SOAKED in history, listing all of the fighters known of, with flags, carved stones, plaques, statues and gardens dedicated to their legacy. An immensity of information that I was completely unaware of was revealed through the in-depth exhibits and artifacts presented throughout, and they offer an audio tour for those that prefer their exhibits in Stereo, but this feature comes
The staff was incredibly informative, very nice and proffered details on each exhibit as requested. Every piece had an in-depth explanation nearby, and staff were always present to assist. Gift shop has some fun items, and while priced a little high in my opinion, I understand it’s proceeds are going to support their restoration efforts, fair enough in my book. They also sell Water and Frozen Snacks, as well as overpriced junk food!

The Alamo is a beautiful place with a rich history. We opted for the self-guided audio tour. Most of the spots were easy to find and the audio tour was informative. It is worth addition for the small difference in price, if you want to learn more about the Alamo’s history. There were also people dressed up at booths in the courtyard area that offered insights into the different peoples of the Alamo’s past. The Alamo did have some construction when we visited, and only had portal restrooms for the public, but they were nice—like trailers with multiple bathroom stalls—and they were clean.
