  1. The Cincinnati Zoo was a great experience. We have visited many zoos around the country and this was right there with the Omaha Zoo as our favorite. The zoo has a few really unique experiences. The pathways are all beautiful with some areas having giant bamboo on both sides. The red pandas have the nicest enclosure I’ve seen in a zoo for red pandas. The lions and elephants were also in very nicely designed and size appropriate areas. Bring a map as some of the areas just end and you have to backtrack. We ate at one of the zoo cafes and the food was good. The zoo is pricey overall (tickets, food, and gift shop) but it is all for a good cause. They have things going on almost every hour and we lucked out by going on a slightly rainy day which slashed admissions. They offer discounts for admission on a few professions.

  2. We went on a public holiday late in the afternoon. There was not much of waiting to enter the zoo. We missed some of the shows, but be mindful of it. Especially the cheetah one is at 11am. There is also a birds show which would be nice for kids. There is a carousel and few other kids playing area at one end of the zoo. Some of the exhibits were empty. Overall it’s a good experience. Parking is $10 extra on top of the tickets.

  3. I’ve been to a lot of zoos around the world and I can safely say that this is one of the best I’ve been to. The diversity of animals and the overall layout of the zoo is excellent. You could easily spend an entire day here, especially if you check out some of their shows. They also have animals here that I’ve never seen at other zoos before, such as the African wild dogs which were fun to watch. I would recommend getting here as soon as they open, as the parking lot gets busy and fills up quickly.

  4. Really this zoo has come along way. All the upgrades new exhibits and overall attention to detail for the animals. I appreciate the botanical landscaping, the worldly facades on the exhibits and educational opportunities. Staff was great and friendly. I recommend being a member, food and item prices are outrageous (ex 35 bucks for a pizza) but you get a discount if your a member. Parking is reasonably priced I suppose. I was disappointed in several attractions being closed however. Advertising what’s coming in spring made me excited, but i still wanted to see those specific animals. I think if attractions are closed, my tickets should be discounted. I’d love to see the zoo expand, more big cats and exotic animals, Pandas ect. Larger exhibits and mire interactions with the animals. Overall however it was a beautiful day and great fun with the family. Can’t really complain.

  5. Great zoo! We were surprised to find that it was so easy to spend the entire day here, from open to close.

It was disappointing that so many animals were off display due to construction, the weather, or bird flu concerns. But even despite that, there was so much to see & experience here.

The hippo display is unsurprisingly very busy, but we still got to stay a while & see the new baby. Absolutely worth it.

The overall atmosphere was really nice too. I love how much bamboo they have growing all over – and they’ve starting hanging string lights from everything. So many pathways felt like their own little road, distanced from the rest of the park – when in fact they’re barely separated.

I appreciate how easy it is to buy tickets & parking from your phone. When we arrived there was a long line to purchase tickets, but I was able to buy them on my phone in less than a few minutes & get right in!

Absolutely love taking my kids here. Such a great place to go and see a wide arrange of sea life. Being able to touch sharks and rays was awesome. Even though you have to schedule a time to start, the place was pretty busy. We still had a blast!!!

This place is sweet. Tons of things to see here. The have fish from all over the world with great descriptive plaques. Lots of neat things they have done with the displays. They have aquariums with little indentations that you can stick your head into. They have glass floors so you can see underneath. They have tunnels where you can see the fish all around you. Pretty great spot to go for a day trip. A little crowded and I wish they would require people to wear masks. You don’t have to wear one if you’ve been vaccinated but nobody is checking so come prepared with a good mask of you’re concerned about COVID. Sweet place though. I highly recommend a visit.

We had a great time. Very interactive with animals, which was great for children. Also activities for children. The place was clean. The staff was very pleasant. Answering questions the children had about animals. We ended our vacation here at the last minute. We were going to the zoo but changed our minds. I’m so glad we did.

This is a pretty good aquarium. The price does feel a little high for the time spent. At least all of the animals seem to be well taken care of, so that probably accounts for the higher price would be my guess. The exhibits are typically well-presented and interesting. A few exhibits are higher than children could see, but there were some touch areas to feel the creatures. At the end, there is an optional type bridge to walk over the tank, so that was neat.

Went with a large group on a Friday and there were still several kids in attendance . But it wasn’t too bad or too crowded. You must make reservations for specific times. This helps stagger the crowds which is nice. The aquarium is quite large with plenty of exhibits. There is a quick service restaurant at the aquarium as well as a large gift shop with some restaurants just outside the aquarium or within walking distance. There is ample parking. It took us about two hours to go through all the exhibits. It’s probably between a 1.5-3 hour time to see everything. I’d say it’s worth going to.

Nice place to visit however parking is a challenge so if you can plan parking out in advance I certainly recommend it.
My visit was the beginning of February so it wasn’t that crowded I can imagine that this place could be shouldered shoulder busy during warmer weather.
Overall the vendors are a bit “Snippy” and seem like they’d like to be any place but there..

    Good luck

A colorful and international market primarily for varieties of food ! Some shops are also exhibiting fine handicrafts!

It’s located in an old and historic neighborhood of Cincinnati !

The shops are housed inside and outside one long hall, between two main streets, but all are well covered.

It’s very colorful inside and outside in the surrounding.

Some other nice shops and restaurants are in and around the market.

Outside & open dining area may be a good choice on a warmer day !

Paid parking or the street parking available near the market.

    ✭✭✭✭✭ By T RS (7 months ago)
The market itself is very nice. 5/5. Prices are a bit high, but that is to be expected. The issues are right outside the market. The entire area is swarmed with homeless. The stench of urine and feces is very prominent from even the main entrance. Homeless people congregate around the area, begging for handouts.

This was a great effort by the city to gentrify the area (it appears to be working). Construction is going on everywhere. The old dilapidated buildings are getting remodeled.

There is a lot of potential here, but you have to look beyond the crumbling societal issues.

We had a great time at Findlay market. The atmosphere is fun and interesting. Loved seeing so many artisan and local vendors. We were able to see, experience and purchase things that we are not able to in our local area. If you are ever in Cincinnati and are looking for a different and local experience, I highly recommend!

How do you wrap Findlay Market up into a review? It’s a wonderful experience. There’s so many local options. There’s usually some time of live music and several places to get a drink on a hot day. If you’re hungry, pop into any number of different amazing food options. We get our produce, plants and bread for the week here and the atmosphere is nothing short of amazing. If you haven’t yet been, please do yourself a favor and check it out

Wow! We loved our visit to Coney Island Park! The staff was so friendly and we couldn’t have had a more perfect day to visit.
Great for families looking for an overall lazy, relaxing day! Huge shout out to the great folks at the front gate that got us in the park fast and saved us some money!

Best waterpark in Cincinnati area. It has the largest swimming pool in the area. Plenty of areas to sit in shades. The lifeguards are nice and attentive. The obstacle courses are great for kids. Slides, slides and slides for every adventurous kids or adults. Areas for small toddlers. The admission cost is not too expensive and parking fee is cheaper compared to other amusement parks. Plenty of food options. If you arrive late in the afternoon, you can avail the cheaper entrance fee and not too crowded. We will be here every summer for sure!

Myself and 4 boys ages 9-11 enjoyed Coney on a Monday. It was very busy and sunny. We were able to find some shade under the trees. The kids enjoyed the slides, pool and bounce area. We had huge ice cream cones. The food lines were very manageable and the cost for the food was affordable. The island shop had a great variety of items, I purchased two pair of cute flip flops. The parking was great, all the staff was pleasant. The women’s restroom was clean and easy to use. Seemed very full for a Monday. Love having this so close to us in Anderson township!!

I have never been here for the water park, but we did attend Christmas Nights of Lights. It was wonderful. The music was themed nicely and synced wonderfully. This was one of the better drive through lights I have experienced. It was well worth the $30 for our car.

The park is good for family time but there are Long queues for the rides and our not so good moment was because they closed very early the challenge because of short staff. At 4pm during the summer, we spent long time in the line and they just close. Nice minigolf time!

Such a beautiful museum inside & out! Absolutely loved our time here with the family! So much to see, learn, and experience. We really enjoyed all the exhibits and seeing all the uniqueness that this museum has to offer! We went on a busy weekend day, but it was still a wonderful experience and it didn’t feel crowded due to the sheer size of the place. We really enjoyed our time, and would recommend anyone in the area makes the time to go and experience it themselves!

We went here for the wedding reception of my wife’s cousin. What a place for it! We had a great time and especially enjoyed the museum being open during cocktail time. The kids got to run around and play on the mechanical exhibits and one of my daughters and I got lost in the Ice Age. There were some amazing and well-put-together visuals for adults and kids. As for the wedding reception itself, the place was beautiful, spacious, and very clean and modern. It was a wonderful place to celebrate a wedding.

Came here with my 22 mo old and my 3.5 year old. Was nervous that they would find any of it interesting and was pleasantly surprised. They LOVED it. The Children’s Museum is excellent. The Art Deco architecture is world class. It’s a really fun place and I’m glad we spent our afternoon here. We had a little over 2 hours and had to run through the last bit. I wish we’d of had more time because our boys were obsessed.

This is a favorite place of mine and well worth the trip if in Cincy or if you’re really into trains or just buildings in general. It is the largest half dome in the Northern hemisphere and second largest in world. This place is simply amazing. Right now they have an exhibit about Cincinnati inventions that was really cool. I was hoping the Cave would have been open but it was not. I used to go into the old museum cave as a kid and it was really cool. I highly recommend taking the free tour of the rotunda.

My nephew and I have been here a handful of times and we absolutely love it! There a variety of museums and exhibitions to explore. He loves looking at the dinosaurs and exploring space. It’s definitely a great place to take children (and honestly, tire them out a bit). The omnitheater is also a fun and immersive experience that will surely impress the little ones. I also had a great time. It was a big space which gave people plenty of room to explore and there was minimal waiting if any.
