  1. My first visit since 1989, why did I wait so long? It was a family all-day outing, with local immediate family, and visiting out-of-state extended family, ages 6 to 60. Everyone enjoyed everything! Animal exhibits were appropriately sized, with plenty of room to roam, clean and well-kept; animals looked healthy, well-tended and fed; guides were fairly knowledgeable, pleasant, and eager to answer questions. It was the first really hot day of the season, glad to have the ample shady and cool places to take occasional rest breaks. Like very much we could bring in our coolers, and also have a place to enjoy picnic lunch. The café is a nice affordable option to bring your own. Loved the aquarium, the interactive scientific exhibits, the animal hospital, the petting zoo, play areas, everything! The carousel is especially nice and enjoyable, a good end to the day. Can’t wait to see the new expansions and exhibits when they open. We are considering season passes for the family.

  2. Had a wonderful time visiting the center. It would have been better on a cooler day or maybe earlier in the morning. The kids did not enjoy the zoo part in the heat and the animals were smart staying inside.
Was impressed with the amount of butterflies they had. Lots of play areas for kids to enjoy. The aquarium section had a good variety of fish and other animals to see. The dinosaur area was okay but wasn’t a highlight. Pretty basic.
Bonus we got to see the baby red panda they had in the hospital building. It was so adorable.

  3. Our family loves our trips here. The exhibits are fantastic, and the facilities are super. There is something here for everyone in the family to enjoy. We like that there are some more unique animals and that there are lots of interactive elements to play with or on. A visit during the winter lights is also a must-do.

  4. I absolutely love this place. First time here and no disappointment. Animals were up close and easy to see. The stingray pond was awesome and to be able to touch them was an experience within itself. There was MANY varieties of species to see. Nice, clean pathways and not too crowded. I will be visiting again!

  5. Wonderful science museum. I love the expansions to the outdoor animal habitats. Absolutely beautiful and easy to navigate. The renovated dinosaur exhibit is also really nice. The theater has a good variety of shows, but be sure to get in line early. The aquarium is a favorite spot; the penguins are so fun to watch. The behind the scenes tour of the aquarium is an extra cost, but it’s worth it if you’re interested in sea life. Really good tour.

We had a great time visiting. The weather was nice and sunny that day so we were lucky. The staff was very helpful and the water rides were just what the doctor ordered. If I had to find something petty to complain about, it would be the wave pool. The wave only comes like every 30 second’s or so. It’s cool, but I’ve been to other water parks where when the waves start, they come back to back to back making the waves incredible. Don’t get me wrong it was fun, but something I noticed. As you were.

Great fun for the kids…better to come on a weekday than the weekend because too many people and you may not find a good shaded spot. They have HUGE umbrellas for shaded seating and it’s better to get a season pass if you live within 2 hrs of the place and if you go 2 times you will make up your money and then some. The food is ok and not terrible at all, but just don’t expect gourmet.

    ENJOY!!!!

All the people that work here are very nice and helpful, haven’t seen any issues other than trouble finding a chair to sit in….it’s a great deal to cool down , Ive gone a few times as if it were just a swimming pool but have also tried a few of the slides. Going on the weekend is something I will probably avoid because it gets super crowded. The food could be better but the prices are reasonable for a theme park …have not paid $10 for a beer though, they let you bring water or a water container in and have music playing alot but I haven’t figured out where the DJ is. All in all it’s better than not swimming.

My family had an extra day to spend in Greensboro so we decided to visit Wet n Wild water park. They had an awesome online special so that made us even more interested in going. When we arrived at the park it was $20 to park in the parking lot. That’s a lil expensive in my opinion. I really liked how the park is sectioned by ages/ swim level. We went to the smaller kids section first and my son had a great time. However, I was disappointed that many rides were closed. My favorite water park ride is the lazy river and that was closed. We finished up at the wave pool and it did not disappoint. Such fun. It would have probably been better at the beginning of the season. But we still had a good time and will come back again.

We went on a Monday. It was not very crowded. The lines were around 20min per ride. Food was surprising very good. Our party had the big dog/fries combo and a Caesar chicken wrap. Very good! We travel with a Type 1-Insulin dependent child. First aid/medical office was accommodating and allowed us to store insulin in their fridge. We had an insulin drop incident and a lifeguard rushed and got us a Coke to bring the level back up with sugar. Great experience at this water park.

This is the best trail I have been on. Lots of space, beautiful scenery, restrooms on the trail. It is such a great experience especially on a beautiful, hot day!!

Love this park!!! My son likes to ride his scooter here. I love to walk here & take in the scenery. Zip lining will be installed this year, paddle boats are still there. Another parking lot is coming. We’re thinking of renting one of the beautiful shelters for a gathering on the lake.

This morning I took my littles to LP children’s garden and my 17.5 month old had a very nice time. We both really enjoyed the slide. It’s a pretty unique park and little climbers will really enjoy it! We will return for more fun on another day!

Fun city park. Unfortunately we came in a Monday and just about everything is closed on Mondays. The park was fun. The kids liked the Rollie slide and spin thing. They wanted to go in the splash pad but I didn’t want wet kids. We walked over to the library too.

I went to Noche Latina on the first Friday and we danced salsa, bachata, etc. from 6:30 – 10 pm. It was a really fun (and free) event!

They had vendors serving food and drinks, and they had actual bathrooms on-site. The bathrooms did close a little bit before we left, so make you use them earlier in the evening if you need to.

I also love the large lawn when you can bring food and chairs and/or a blanket to if you prefer to just chill and listen to the music.

It’s awesome that Greensboro has a great space for events like that!

My daughter loves the squishy ground that she can run around barefoot on. Today I let her play in the water. She loved it. I love the slide. And there was music playing in an area near the playground. We had a good time.

If you want to take a walk or run in a peaceful place this is it! You can stroll the park and enjoy all the beautiful flowers and trees or pick a bench and read and relax. The park has many places for taking great pictures. You can take a blanket and lay on the green grass and have a romantic picnic in the park.

Wow! ?Just wow! I was not expecting the Beauty of these gardens. The huge triple wind chimes in the middle of the park were just breathtaking. I could have spent hours here and wished I had brought a picnic lunch. The sights, sounds, and aroma of the flowers were just incredible. The birds and butterflies were magical. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Greensboro or wanting to connect with nature. Don’t forget to pack a picnic ?

I loved visiting this park, the landscape is breathtaking! It was November and the trees were already changing due to the season, I want to visit one day in spring, it must be even more beautiful. It’s a good place to go with the family or walk your dog.

A Greensboro gem. Wonderful place to walk and enjoy nature. Very peaceful. I love the giant wind chimes, the gazebo, and all of the plants and flowers. So many varieties of plants, and they are labeled, which is nice from an educational standpoint. This has always been one of my favorite parks.

Everyone will tell you how beautiful the plantings are, how well-kept and tended. What they might not mention is the Arboretum changes each week of the year, just a little but that means you can visit this park every week of the year and see something new each time.
