Clean! Amazing service to rent chair, bikes and water toys. The beach is white and sand soft.
Note the water isn’t blue. The color change is from the local reef, but worth knowing.
Parking is free!
Research the beaches. We were told only a couple were safe, related to current.

I have moved here now because it is not crowded and seems like there are lots of wonderful opportunities here that no longer exist in other coastal communities. the prices are great there’s lots of open beachfront property I’m glad I came back to my home stateBy William Carrell (8 months ago)We had a good time, but probably won’t go back. The water was really dirty, though that’s pretty normal for the area. The sand and beach area were kept clean, and it wasn’t too terribly busy while we were there. Enough parking spaces and additional across the street at visitor center.
Visitor center is also well maintained.For restrooms you need to go to the visitor center since there aren’t any near the beach.

Front gate ladies were awesome!
The site we had reserved was too tight for our 5th wheel. They were able to find us a few alternatives to choose from and got our reservation changed. Beautiful and well taken care of Park. Was able to ride bikes down to and along the beach.By Kathy Donour (a year ago)The park is well kept and sites are nice. It’s big rig friendly. No hiking trails and no park amenities are included in your stay or discounted which is kinda a bummer but I get it.The issue is the park rangers park whereever whenever. Mainly at the exit, they just park their truck without thinking hey… Can an RV get past me to leave… Because you can’t get past them so twice we’ve stayed here and had to lay on the horn until someone came to move the ranger trucks. What’s frustrating is they’re less than 6 feet from open parking spaces dedicated to park rangers! Like why block the exit when you have parking spots at the door.
By Alissa Davis (4 months ago)Nice well maintained park. We were here in Feb. ’22 and it was steadily busy the whole time, I have to imagine during the summer this parks packed. The little nature trail in the front is a bit muddy and buggy so plan accordingly but not too long or bad. The pool and water park both look nice, they weren’t open while we were here but looked nice. There’s a nice playground and and frisbee golf as well, so plenty to keep everyone entertained.By Hanna Vojtush (11 months ago)Mostly quiet campground, except the two or three trains that go by each night. The sites are spacious and have plenty of room between campers. We went before the wave pool and camper pools opened for the year. Staff was friendly and helpful at check in. The grounds were amazing as always. The site my client had was very pretty which made for a very cozy set up. The park has so much to offer. I love this place. Each visit to the coastline, I stop here for photo opportunities, small walks and just the beauty.
Visitors center is very informative. Great for family’s. Grab lunch somewhere and enjoy a nice picnic area too.
AND OF COURSE, I watch for my Alligator. Been following for 3 years.
Osprey nest on the camp ground area too.
My family got up very early this morning to beat the heat. When we got checked in at the first visitor site on Gulf Islands National Seashore this security guard was amazing! Very informative, very friendly, gave advice on the best set up sites in the park! I sure wish we had that great customer service everywhere! Thank you Nick Smith for getting our day started off well! You keep being your awesome self.
Beautiful seashore, quite beaches, amazing fort to walk thru and learn some of the history! Highly recommend if you are in the area.
Great water/electric sites. Most sites are pretty good and have good space and views. We were in site 9 and the pavement was older and not level. I would recommend other sites before 9 but it still wasn’t bad.
If you like the outdoors then this is the place for you! The front gate entrance drive has been completely redone and is very nice. Perfect for running or biking along. The campgrounds looked well maintained as well. The walking trails aren’t super long but there is enough to do where you can spend an afternoon here. Most of the places you can walk to which is a plus.
A beautiful campground right in the bayou. Very recently paved, including all roads and site pads, level, but our site (#10) was awkward to back into, being on the passenger side. Nice easy access hook ups (water and electric). Visitor center was very nice and a ranger at the desk was very informative. Nice displays. Clean bathrooms and showers in the campground. Rangers and/or camp hosts (very friendly pair!) patrol often, so very safe feeling. As a birder, this place was great (even in December); had Clapper Rails calling in the marsh right behind us, and one day a Great Horned Owl spent all day roosting in a tree about 50 feet behind our trailer. The boat ramp area is also good birding.
