  1. I always try to find the time to come here just to see the beach and the sunset. Most times, I’d record to capture memories. But most of all, it’s also where my husband and I would meet. There’s an invisible connection that connects me to this place. It’s the environment, the people, the food. And I feel so at peace seeing and being at Brighton Beach. I hope others have also felt the same way. And if not, I hope there’s some connection or inspiration connecting you to this wonderful place.

  2. Its nice to have in the winter time a beach with sand and ocean to see. Came here in February to get some fresh air away from city life. It was relaxing and nice sunset to see.

  3. Great place to stay and rest. Nice and clean beach, close to public transportation and a lot of stores around. Also it is not far from the Aquarium and Luna Park, it takes only 10-15 minutes of walk. 👍👍👍

  4. Nu? What’s not to like? The Brighton end of the boardwalk remains populated with Russophones and other assorted Eastern European slavs and others, more sedate than the Coney Island end as you move westward. All sorts of entertainers and people watching opportunities. First responders and national park rangers in uniform a plenty to keep things properly chill or deal with any emergencies that might arise.

Didn’t have the rotten kids with me so no reason to stop in at the amusement park or for a nostalgic ride on the carousel. Maybe with grandkids in the not too distant future. Wouldn’t that be something? L’dor va dor.

  5. A walking path by the beach with several events.. easy to park to one of the streets. Swa side and road side has several facilities. The part we have been was by the ukranian owned restaurants on the seaside and several restaurants ,groceries, etc on the traffic side.. a different approach to Brooklyn. Can be checked through internet for any live event to make your time more enjoyable

A true gem right here in Brooklyn. Great for families! There is a playground with sprinklers, basketball court, tennis court, and a lovely little “boardwalk” to stay out of the sand. This is an accessible beach to a point.

**Lifeguards on site from 10am to 6pm daily.**

Designated BBQ area with benches accessible by the parking lot. Get there early for the best spot.
There is also a cafe to purchase food and drinks if needed.

Paid parking facilities, $8 weekdays and $22 weekend and holidays. Parking lot closes at 8pm. Street parking is not allowed from May to September (cannot remember the exact dates.)

Restrooms are available and are kept very clean. Outside showers are also available to get the sand off (these get pretty busy.)

Manhattan Beach 🏖️ is definitely our preferred location. Please enjoy the facilities and remember to use trash cans or take your trash.

    Happy Summer!!🌞🌞

Great beach for walking. The beach is pretty clean.
Beach doesn’t have wooden broadwalk, all sidewalks are newly built cement road.
Good for BBQ and picnic camping.

Beautiful scenery, water still ice cold despite being beginning of August. Lots of new tables added, so bring your own BBQ set. They took out the ones the park provided. All in all, crystal clear water and well- kept. A must for every summer.

It is pretty, small, secluded coves, lifeguards, food and ice cream, bathrooms, showers, picnic tables under shade trees, a playground with sprinklers, and a parking lot during the season. The beach is also accessible off season and is beautiful. There is a wonderful Russian restaurant across the street called Hot Potato for crepes, perogies and borscht to take out.

We love Jacob Riis Beach! The parking is really easy if you get there in the morning but by noon there’s a line to get in. The bathrooms are clean and there’s a playground for the kids. Part of the beach is closed off for restoration now but there’s still a good amount of space.

Love Jacob Riis Beach! Best times are around 3 o’clock—stay and watch the sunset. Jellyfish are present this August; harmless, but creepy! Parking cost $20.

Anytime the weather is 90° and higher this will be the place to be. I mean there’s other beaches but I love the views and sites here.

Should have a season pass holder line to the parking lot for expedited access.
Complete center section of the beach is closed. No food or drink options on east end of the beach. Half of the parking lot on east end is closed
Our beach is not what it was . Have been coming for over 30 years. What happened to our beach. For years this was a 4.5+ beach.

Nice place to spend the day if you are willing to walk or ride your bike from the parking area to the Fort Tilden part of the beach, where is much less crowded and quiet.
