A beautiful beach! Soft sand, wide beach area. Family friendly! You will have to park and walk a bit, unless you happen to be a Narragansett resident. Restrooms and a snack bar are added bonuses. The parking is $10 and admission is $12 but this place is free for the non residents after 5 PM. If not paid parking there are decent amount of roadside parking spaces available.The beach is nice and clean with a lot of food options. The water looked stunning and it was packed with a lot of people surfing, swimming and having a great time. This is a good place to spend time with family and friends.By Pratik Gaitonde (a year ago)My favorite RI beach so far. Cost 20 to park and 12 per person to get in. Kids are cheaper or free. Well worth the price of admission. Sand very soft and a few miles of sand shoreline. They have bathrooms outdoor showers and lockers. If you want to take a little walk there’s plenty of free street parking. They have free sunscreen dispensers spf 30 and surfboard rentals as well. The Easton’s Beach is a beautiful and breathtaking white sand beach in Newport, Rhode Island.
I brought myself and my wife for a visit and swim at Easton’s Beach during our honeymoon in Newport, RI in September of 2018.
We were both impressed the cleanliness of the beach and enjoyed swimming in the warm and relaxing water.
Easton’s Beach provides great views of the ocean and the Cliff Walk, a popular place of interest in Newport.
What also makes Easton’s Beach remarkable is its close proximity to facilities, rental cabanas and a seaside snack bar.
When visiting Newport Rhode Island, definitely go for a smooth and comfortable swim at Easton’s Beach!!!
By Greg Harris (a year ago)Pretty small beach that’s very close to the mansions of Newport.I grew up in California so I’m used to Pacific beaches that seem to go on forever. This beach is fairly small as it’s flanked by peninsulas covered by homes. As far as I could see, this beach only has paid parking.
Not a beach for look for shells as it is picked clean. Not much plant matter and no shade. Sand is comfortable to walk on barefoot but not so soft that it is difficult to wash off. No offensive smells (some beaches smell like putrid seaweed on the West Coast.)

Clean ocean fronts, friendly people, little to no garbage laying around. Beach was nice. Lifeguards we’re on top of it. Pictures online make it look like the place to go. The facilities look nice from afar but cleanliness is not a top priority. Trash was full in bathrooms and dumpster in parking lot . The exit at the end of the day is backed up due to the old set up. There should not be traffic arms slowing down the exiting. Closing down one pay toll booth and creating another exit would help the back up. Like many places staffing is light and could be reason for issues.
It’s an OK beach for Family Getaway! A bit rocky/ stone-ish and there’s seaweeds in the water and along the shore BUT IT IS PART OF NATURE! This Beach offerrs nice waves for Boogie Boarding, you can go as far as 10-20 yards and still shallow water but BE CAREFUL waves here are a bit rough but closer to shore its perfect for young tots. Plenty of parking space, Just be ready to pay 20$ parking / entrance fee (out of state plates) but there’s 10$ private parking along the way however it’s quite a walk (5-10) mins, not too practical if you got your beach gears with you. We went there on a Tuesday and there’s quite a crowd but still ample space to set up. Most are Families but there will always be people who doesn’t respect both nature and others… smoking weed (within the beach area couple of steps they can go to the parking lot!) and throwing garbage / PLASTICS around making our planets gift to us as THEIR PERSONAL DUMP! No matter which Beach you are specially summer season there will be THOSE TYPE OF CROWD! PLEASE HELP US SAVE THE PLANET RESPECT NATURE FOR OUR FUTURE GENERATIONS. If you see a piece of plastic or non biodegradable garbage as you walk it’s only a bend to pick it up and put it aside till you see a proper garbage disposal unit. PEACE, LOVE and CARE!
I love Misquamicut. The waves were huge last week and the water was like bathwater. It’s nice and clean and not alot of traffic. I just love the sand and walking the beach.

Misquamicut is the nicest beach that I visited in CT and RI. It’s a larger beach then you find in CT, has plenty of parking, porta-potties, a playground for kids and plenty of slipper shell crab shells and some pebbles/rocks that wash up. If you’re looking for big waves not blocked by NY, head to RI.
