“NICKEL BEACH”
You can also call it “Drive In Beach” . Well, this is not its official name, I gave this name because you can take your car right next to the beach 🏖
You need to buy tickets at the entrance or you can also book them online in advance ( advisable to book in advance)
We’ve seen some cars getting refused entry as the beach was full and they wanted to buy tickets at the entry.
Beach was good, vibe was pretty happening but the worst part was the cleanliness, the water at the shore was not at all clean. Hell lot of algae and it smells like shit…..too bad.
Also there is no mention anywhere but let me tell you that you can only be at the beach 8pm. Please make your plans accordingly.
By A J (7 months ago)August 2022 5*This is our first visit to Nikel Beach and I am already planning to visit again. The most important thing, Reservation is must specially on weekend. You will not get entry otherwise. Will cost around $50 per car.
The beach is super clean and water is clean. Best sand (white) I saw in Ontario. You can enjoy swimming and water support with kids.
Make sure to carry your tent and umbrella as there is no natural shading. You need to have some space.
There is permanent toilet on the beach but have installed porta toilets. I did not use them so not sure if it was clean.
The sand dune can be high for car at certain point and your vehicle can stuck if it is not 4X4. Don’t get panic and feel free to ask help or remove little bit sand before moving vehicles.
By Jaspal Singh (6 months ago)It is a beautiful and welcoming place, I think it is the only beach that allows you to park on the beach, this is beautiful because there are so many people who play their music, dance and have fun.
I only saw such a beautiful thing when I visited South America.The beach is clean there was a bit of seaweed on one side of the beach but a natural thing.
My son loved the inflatable waterpark, I only paid 30 dollars for the whole day and he did want to come back home 😆
People were very friendly, very fun and great environment.
I want to thank everyone who put the music regaetton, salsa and merengue, my wife and I enjoyed it very much, it made me want to dance.
Overall a great place.

It is really amazing you can just park your car on the sand (you do need to reserve the spot online though but the price is totally worth it). Extremely convenient that you can park close to the water. I recommend coming here on weekdays, not much people around. Portables are available at the entrance for “emergencies”. We visited The Breakfast Beacon on a Sunday morning to have a nice breakfast. We chose this restaurant because of the reviews, but our experience didn’t match the high reviews.
I am giving this restaurant 3 stars because when we arrived it took a long time to seat us even though there were empty tables within view. I also was extremely disappointed with the server we had – she completely left us alone after taking our order and only came back once before getting the bill.
However, there was another server who saw me and my empty coffee cup after we were given food and who refilled the cup. She was very nice and friendly. That was the only refill I got and I typically will refill 3-4 times early in the morning. The food was pretty good with really nice homefries. I just wish it hadn’t taken so very long to bring the food out. I felt that most of the time we were there was just us sitting in a booth with empty cups waiting for refills and our meals. I’m used to waiting at restaurants like this but the extended wait over every little thing just became frustrating.
Overall, the food was good but the actual experience wasn’t it for me. Maybe another time it will be better.

We all ordered the Mini Giant which is reasonably priced and down right delicious. The waitress that served our table was a person that seemed to enjoy her job as her service was spot on.
Thank you for the warm welcome and great food that satisfied our hunger that day. If we are in that beautiful town of Crystal Beach and surrounding area, I will try to stop in for another satisfying meal.

The best beach I’ve been to. The beach was super clean. Bathrooms were clean. The staff was friendly. The sand was so soft. The water was warm and clean.
A word of advice, if you are planning to visit this beach over the weekend please do yourself a favor and try to reach as early as 1 or 2 pm. There are high chances that entry to the beach will be temporarily closed and they will not let you in.
I had to go through these and I strongly suggest that you do not try your luck at the nearby beaches because you will anyway end up getting disappointed! Mostly other beaches must have stopped selling tickets or you might need to purchase a $50 day pass.
I ended up going to other 4 beaches up to Nickle beach but I had not that great chance to just enter any of them. I ended up coming back to Crystal beach at 5:15 pm on Saturday and it was re-opened for the general entry and it was free anyway because it was past 5.
Always love this beach! Water was warm, shallow and clear. First time visiting on a Saturday. Definitely come early if you are planning a weekend trip. The beach was at capacity by noon and they were turning people away.
What a beautiful 🤩 beach. The is so crystal clear that one can see through it . The beach is well maintained. Water is warm the view is beautiful. Best thing about beach was that there was hardly any rocks and sand gave the feeling of middle east. Paying 5$ per adult the entry fees was worth . They have good restaurants nearby and ample parking spaces. Only thing missing was a shower in changing area.
My wife and I love going to the Caribbean islands, and even though it’s not salt water, the sand on this beach might as close as we can get in Ontario. We went on a weekday, and it was still pretty busy. There is a 5$ day pass to access the beach, but well worth it.
