I am shaking and crying right now for how good this place is. I was able to convince myself to not commit suicide because of this pizzeria. I met my first love here. My seven children were birthed and named after this one place. The people who work here and the community that is brought to this place hold no boundaries, and I honestly can’t believe I’m saying this, but this is probably the best place to go to in the entire world. We were staying at Islas Del Mar and we were hungry after 7 PM and found Ray’s on Google. We were driving there and it seemed a bit sketchy where the map was taking us but when we parked and entered the little small pizza shop, we were greeted by the most amazing smile and warmth from Ray. We met some of his family members while waiting for the pizza and got a chance to have some fun conversation with Ray about his business and history. When we got home and finally dug into the pizza, it was hands down one of the best tasting pizzas we have ever had. Our party is mainly from the European region and we have tasted many Italian pizzas but Ray brought Italy to Mexico and it blew us away. The cheese, the ingredients, the dough, the price, and the service from Ray was bar none the best in Mexico. What a find. It is located in a residential neighborhood off the beaten path, but totally worth the trip. Ray, who worked in the Phoenix area for 15 plus years at spots including Tomasos, built his own wood fired oven, and it puts out great pizza. It is definitely a no frills establishment, but the prep area is clean and the ingredients are fresh. We ordered a pepperoni, vegetarian, and cheese pizza, and they were all excellent.
