First – I wish every restaurant had the kind of attentive waitstaff as here. Even with my waiter being very busy someone else came by and got me more to drink. Score!
Crab and corn bisque very tasty. Got the crepes which are stuffed with crab and cream cheese then covered with a shrimp cream sauce. There was more shrimp in the sauce then some some other restaurants serve as the main ingredient. Score! Served over jambalaya not too spicy- I don’t get to eat Cajun or creole food too often but here alone for 5 weeks so Imma get my fill. I will return soon to try their eggplant fries. I realized my error when everyone around me ordered them.
Update- yes try the eggplant fries! Weirdly good.By David Guido (3 months ago)Always love the atmosphere and food here, must have been a bad day, the food was horrible, chargrilled oysters were awful ,so much Parmesan cheese couldn’t taste the oysters and I love cheese, tasted liked the cheap container cheese, etouffee was with blackened seasoning, terrible, not true etouffee, bitter. And the cost of the oysters was $40.+, our bill for our simple lunch with fried green tomato appetizer was almost $100. Won’t go back for a while. If again. Never got refills, so bad experienceBy Debra White (a month ago)I wanted to try a new eatery and I can tell you the food was delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. I ended up going twice in one week. It is a perfect outing to take your family or significant other.By Cederick Harris (9 months ago)I would have done 3.5 stars if it was a choice. The Marie gras pasta would have been better if it was HOT not just room temperature. The crab wontons tasted more like cream cheese wontons I didn’t see any crab meat. The white chocolate bread pudding came out warm but I wanted it hot. They fixed that. And the chocolate decadence was super rich. Wow. Lots of chocolate flavor packed in every bite.By Dave Thornton (7 months ago)Fabulous food! Amazing atmosphere!! It was so good we went two nights in a row!!! And we live an hour away!!! And the chocolate decadence dessert was to die for!!! I will find a reason to go to Hattiesburg just to eat here!!! 10 stars!!!By Matthew Carver (a year ago)

The ahi tuna was absolutely phenomenal. I haven’t had ahi this fresh since I moved from Southern California. The sweet tea was amazing and staff was nice and courteous. I will definitely visit again in the near future.By David Smith (9 months ago)I’m a over the road truck driver and I stopped here about a year and a half ago and had the best steak I’ve ever had while eating out. Today was no different. Ordered the 16 oz prime ribeye and it was just as amazing as before. Highly recommend this place, chain restaurants don’t even compare to Sully’s. I wish they would open one where I’m from in Carrollton, Georgia.By Brad Dinning (2 months ago)This is a great little tavern with an old-school country feel. If you’re looking for a good local place with nice steaks and cold beer, you won’t be disappointed with Sully’s. It’s recommended to go during the day if you’re not a fan of the live music they have at night, although you may be missing out on the full experience. The bar is absolutely wonderful, with a wide and impressive selection of alcohol and knowledgeable, friendly bartenders. If you’re just passing through the city, Sully’s is a great place to get a good taste of what Hattiesburg has to offer. They also have a location in Petal for those on the other side of town. Happy dining!By Sir Loin (a year ago)Great service and atmosphere! We had the Knock Ya Silly Philly and the Black and Blue burger. Both were excellent. Will return next time we are in town!By Shana Durdin (a year ago)The food arrived barely warm. The server did take care of the issue immediately when I brought it to her attention. I want really impressed with the flavor, it was just another shrimp Alfredo and was supposed to be garlic shrimp… Oh well…
The others in our party were satisfied to some point. I guess I just expected more for the prices. The music was far too loud for general enjoyment. Yes, it was a Saturday night and the place was packed but that doesn’t excuse the music being so loud.

The food was delicious and the service was perfect ! This is not a franchise it is owned by a family. Tan was so nice and hospitable!! Reminds me that there is real southern hospitality!! 💯💯
While nearby for training, a few friends and myself decided to give this place a try! Man when I tell you, this was some good eating, I tell you no lie. Customer service was on point, the food was delicious and it wasn’t too expensive. I doubled back the next day for the shrimp and grits ..talk about hood southern food! Try them out!
Update: 2nd Review for 10/15 scroll down
My husband and l ate there on Saturday for the first time. We had the best server that we have ever had since moving here in 2008. She’s a lovely young woman named Hannah. She’s knowledgeable and attentive. I had the shrimp tacos and my husband had the Salmon special of the day. They were both excellent. We also shared a dessert that was Insane! Fried Pecan Pie on a bed of chocolate and caramel sauce with ice cream and whipped cream. We highly recommend Chesterfields and Hannah. You will love it.
Update:
Ate there 10/15 Saturday. It was really good today also. We had Lane as our server. He was fabulous also. Today we had the Chicken 49r and Fried Pork Chop plate. They were really good. Anytime you can cut a chicken breast with a fork it’s been cooked the right way. The Turtle Cheesecake was really good. The food the service and the atmosphere are consistently great and that’s hard to find. Try Chesterfields and ask for Hannah or Lane you’ll be pleased with both!
Visiting from Chicago and wanted something other than a chain. Boy, did I find a gem!!! Well, I didn’t find it, but couldn’t resist putting a review in for these guys. Wow, just wow! Had the gumbo and shrimp and grits. On top of the outstanding service, the food was incredible. Well done Chesterfield’s!!
