This was my 1st experience at Harry’s and I wish it was a good one. It was mediocre at best. It took almost 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. I counted 5 people come and go from the front section. No one spoke, no hello someone will be with you in a moment, nothing. Okay.
We waited, then finally got a seat at table “1” right at the entrance on one of the coldest days of the year. Every time the door opened and closed, the draft from the wind outside reminded us it was January. We might as well had sat outside. Despite all of this we stayed to celebrate a birthday.
Told the waitress we were celebrating a birthday… nothing. While it wasn’t a totally horrible experience, it wasn’t exactly the best. Not even middle of the road. The food was okay. It was lunch time, maybe that’s why the plate was so skimpy.
One star is for the ambiance, the other for the price. The Mahi was kinda tough. It was flaky, but had the consistency of salt fish – very chewy. The table bread was better than the fish. The crab cakes were pretty good. We were able to wave down a waitress to get a drink refill. But decided not to push it and ask for anything else. For a party of 2 people, it might have been too much work.
While I understand many server positions are hard too fill in today’s market, it shouldn’t be that hard to get service. No one wore a mask, not the servers and probably not the cooks. That was our risk going out during Covid. It was my 1st time at Harry’s and probably my last.
By Quiana Frazier (a year ago)The she crab soup lived up to its wonderful reviews. The portion seemed perfect for one to two people to share. My favorite entree special was the barramundi which was tender and unique. The tuna salad also had a yummy sauce. The jambalayas shrimp and chicken were both cooked wonderfully but the portion was too big for me (it started to get a little stuffy at the end). The outdoor seating was wonderful and the service was fast and friendly.By Brighten Jiang (BESTTWO) (6 months ago)Romantic setting in upscale downtown. Hands down our waiter was very attentive. Food very tasty and something for everyone on the menu. Shrimp n grits scrumptious. Market pasta yummy. The side of fried grits “slap yo momma delish “ Thank you for a wonderful dinner with family!By Bridget Core (11 months ago)The past few times that we have dined at Harry’s haven’t been that great! Tonight the restaurant wasn’t very busy when we sat down. We waited over 10 minutes for a server to come to our table. He mentioned them being short staffed, and him having tables outside. I understand lots of places are short staffed. But if a server has tables both inside and out, one or the other is not going to get the best service. He would come in from outside and not look our way, then go into the kitchen. We asked for a spoon for the pasta, and never got one. He filled our water when we were finished, and it took a while to get takeout boxes. I know he was trying to keep up. He kept getting tables sat, so he seemed to be getting overwhelmed. The food came out hot and had good flavors.By Amy Kay Furtys (a year ago)It took over an hour to get our food. When we saw that everyone around us who was waiting had bread, we asked for bread. We were told that we would get bread with our food🤷🏾♀️. No one checked on us or communicated about the delay. We had to find someone to get the bill. All that to say, service was TERRIBLE BUT…When the food came it was excellent. Seasoned well and very tasty. I am one for the whole experience so I probably wouldn’t go back but if you can tolerate great food and poor service, I recommend it.

We were just passing through on the interstate and stopped for lunch. This is a great place for some fast tasty seafood. My wife and both got different combination platters with hushpuppies and we’re delighted with the meal. Our waitress was a delight.By Jim Brand (3 months ago)This place is no frills but the food is fantastic!! You can’t go wrong with any of the seafood options but be warned that you better come hungry or prepared to take a box home. The portions are huge and a great value for the price. This was my first one visiting the city and I was looking up places online. I’m so glad I picked this place because it was laid back, affordable and delicious.By Dionne Waugh (7 months ago)The service was friendly & professional. While we waited, they consistently relayed the status of our orders to us. The food was packaged & bagged well, so there was no leaking. The food itself was excellent. Very flavorful. Very plentiful. The only complaint came from my mom, she said the portions have gotten much smaller from the last time she visited the restaurant. Otherwise, no complaints whatsoever.By Angela Green (5 months ago)Well I ordered a appetizer of clam strips and they were so few in there it was terrible. I got stuffed mushrooms they weren’t bad maybe could use a little bit of salt but they were bad. But I was very disappointed with the clam stripsBy Kim Stewart (4 months ago)Whoever they had to paint these walls is it all there’s an awesome artist it made the atmosphere and ambiance that much betterBy Pamela Pruett (4 months ago)

Visiting from Georgia. My husband was looking forward to the mouth watering Monday all-you-can-eat crab, shrimp, crawfish, corn, and potatoes. Not too many options for vegans if visiting with a friend. Plan to look mainly at the sides menu. Great service from start to finish, thanks to our waiter Carson. Taylor, manager was also on point. 7:30 p.m. arrival time, slow traffic, no crowds, no waiting. Quick seating and service. Clean inviting atmosphere, nice and interesting decor, clean restrooms. ALL Food, seafood and vegan options was fresh and delicious as expected. Overall satisfying food portions. Would consider visiting again.
The food was amazingly delicious! The customer service was even better! My kids are steak lovers and I can honestly say, the steak was great. My seafood platter was so great! This place is highly recommended.
Took my mom here for mother’s day as she loves seafood. She very much enjoyed her shrimp platter, but I was a little put off by the flavor of my steak. I ordered the 16 oz prime rib and despite being cooked to the right temp and very juicy, I couldn’t get bast this almost burnt taste. As I said the streak looked great but flavor was like it was very charred. I originally thought that maybe it was just the outer pieces and it would taste different towards the middle but it didn’t. Not sure if it was just me or what so I didn’t complain.
They open at 6pm and we arrived at 5:20pm. There was already several couples before us. When opened we were able to sit anywhere. By 7:00pm the place was full on the inside and outside seating.
Drinks were good, biscuits and appetizers were tasty… That main course was mmmm mmmm AMAZING! We were to full to order dessert.
The other butters were not my thing. The all you can eat crab legs are good. I don’t like that much seasoning so I will order with no seasoning at all next time. My daughter loves the potatoes. I would definitely do again. On the reorders they only bring you 2 clusters at a time.
