  1. Stayed 5 days in the cheapest room and had a great time. Staff is very friendly and the place is clean. So many pools to chose from and a complete other resort across the street. Dive team is very knowledgable and never in a hurry (that’s the Jamaican way). Everything is very close to your room. The restaurants are fine but I’ve had better food. The notable exception is the French restaurant which was 5 star for taste, presentation and service. 90 minute drive from the airport is something to consider. Well done Sandals. I won’t be back only because I prefer Beaches Negril.

  2. resort is beautiful and the staff are friendly and very kind. However after seeing the true poverty of the country and being hustled for ‘gifts’ aka cash tips, I can’t help but feel like the resort industry completely takes advantage of the wonderful people who work here and at other resorts on the island. Particularly with Sandals, I felt very uncomfortable even entering certain areas of the resort because so many employees are begging you to book additional spa services, private dinners, another Sandals vacation, etc.
We stayed in a honeymoon suite which came with a concierge service. We didn’t book the room because of the concierge service; we were simply looking for an upgraded room on the sea side of the resort. (It’s worth noting the resort is split into two sides, with the butler rooms being on the jungle side.) We called the concierge one morning to make dinner reservations and were told none were available. Called the next morning, were put on hold, then told no reservations were available and that we needed to make them at least a day or more in advance. That would have been nice to know during our initial call for reservations. We ate twice at Soy because they don’t require reservations and had a disappointing $300+ private dinner that we left early because it was so bad.
Our flight was delayed a full 24 hours and we did not arrive at the resort until 930pm the next day. The resort refused to do anything to remedy our loss of a night and full day that we paid for in full when we booked the vacation in November 2021.
Overall, it’s fine. Be prepared to tip and be asked for tips in the form of gifts by some of the staff.

  3. Had an amazing time at Sandals. Came with 5 other people (3 couples total) one group had the butler suite and they helped a lot with making reservations and getting cabanas down by the beach.

The rest of us stayed at the beach side Rivera rooms and although a little outdated we still had fun and enjoyed the rooms. The beds were clean and our room attendant was super nice and helpful. The other couple staying in a different room never got any room service or the cute animals that were left on all the rest of our rooms while staying. Luckily our attendant went to their room and gave them fresh towels. The bed was soft but with the nonexistent box spring it left us tossing a bit. Still comfortable but not much you can do with that.

The couple staying at beach side butler said their bed was super soft. Food was great at kimonos and soy (definitely get reservations) the rest were your average all inclusive food, some things better than others so luckily we ordered multiple things and one made up for the other. All of the employees are amazingly nice and made the trip fun with jokes and great conversations.

One person in our group ended up hurting themselves and ended up on crutches so luckily their butlers took awesome care with them and sent the nurse to check on the every other day.

One thing I will note is be prepared to walk, luckily we all didn’t have an issue unless it started raining, which it most likely will so be prepared with the provided umbrella and forecast.

Overall we enjoyed the Sandals resort, definitely one for the books.

  4. This was our first Sandals trip and first time to Jamaica. We went for our wedding and had 25 guests who joined us. 2 couples had a problem with their rooms but the issue was resolved the next day and one moved to another villa and one got an upgrade. The wedding was flawless. We had such a great time and we were VERY impressed with how good everything went without us ever stepping foot there. We had a butler villa on the hillside. Julia and Patrick were our butlers and they made our stay so great we decided to book again the same dates next year and even got to request them. They were amazing so if you ever get a chance to go request them and you will not be disappointed. We saw negative reviews on a facebook group about the outdated rooms and I will say there are a few layouts that could be updated but please remember this is an older Sandals resort and the prices are cheaper then the others. This doesn’t take away from the beauty of this site. The landscape is incredible. Lots of plants, flowers and trees around. The beach area is a little small but plenty of pool areas.

  5. Overall the resort was in good condition. We had to make several requests to have a leaky toilet repaired and ultimately had to change rooms, but that was the biggest complaint – which is not a huge deal.

My first impression of the staff is they weren’t as friendly as the other Caribbean islands we visited. However, a few staff were friendly and warm enough to more than makeup for the not-so-friendly staff. Staff like Sean, the manager at the Southern Table restaurant, and Patrice from the Vibe Team made us feel like family.

Sean was pleasant, accommodating, friendly, attentive, humorous, and engaging; he made it a point to ensure we were taken care of and had a good time. He introduced us to his staff and treated us like family when we came to eat at his restaurant, which served good food every time.

Patrice was friendly and fun! She engaged the crowd and made sure everyone had a good time whenever she came around.

The resort offers lots of fun things and good food to eat. If you want to relax, you can do that too.

I recommend my friends and family visit Sandals Ochi Beach Resort if they are looking for Adult only Inclusive Fun!

We cannot say enough about our experience at Sandals Grande St Lucian for our honeymoon. We enjoyed the hospitality and everyone was so friendly. We especially enjoyed Kachel, she was our favorite person to visit at the bars/restaurants. The resort was incredibly clean and they stopped in to tidy up rooms multiple times per day. We were apart of club sandals and they were nothing short of amazing there in assisting with our every need! There were many food choices to pick throughout the resort. Our favorites were the jerk shack, french and sushi restaurants. The food was so delicious! We enjoyed the different cuisines. The pool always had activities which were always fun to engage in. It was easy to book excursions, we did ours through the Magic Man, who we also enjoyed getting to know! The spa was AMAZING and so relaxing. This was our first sandals experience and we loved it! We will definitely be back.

We had an amazing time at this resort. Very beautiful & relaxing! My husband & I celebrated our honeymoon. The food and drinks were abundant. The resort was well kept and the staff was very polite and made sure we had everything we needed. We had the pleasure of being greeted daily by Lisa at the buffet breakfast each morning. She was a gracious hostess. The restaurants on the resort are good, but the best in our opinion was Gordon’s. The food , staff, and services A+.

My husband and I just went here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely incredible!! I could not recommend this place any more! The staff was all incredibly kind, helpful, organized, and fun to be around – truly made the trip that much better! The rooms were nice and clean, the water was absolutely beautiful, and the pools very refreshing! All of the food and drinks were great as well! We got an incredible massage, had an amazing candle lite dinner, and took advantage of the fun water sports as well! In addition – they have so many different excursions to do as well – we did the ATV tour and snorkel cruise – highly recommend both of these! Overall was an amazing trip that we will remember forever!

We had the best time! The hospitality is one of a kind! Our white glove service with Lauren was nothing short of spectacular in our over the water cabana/romantic dinner. Some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure meeting!! We were so pleased, that we booked our next trip with them. You will not be disappointed from the entertainment to the hospitality the service and all the engagement from the whole staff.

We had an amazing time at Sandals Grande St. Lucian for our honeymoon! The resort is beautiful with amazing views! There is plenty to do if you want to be more social/active. The entertainment staff is SO fun if you want to be more social but you can definitely have a more quiet and private experience at this resort too if that is your vibe. I have heard no so great things about resort food in general but we loved every meal! All staff were friendly and helpful! We would go back in a heartbeat!

I loved the spa! Went twice. Loved the cats. Loved the Jerk Shack. Loved Schooners. Wait staff at all restraints super kind and nice to chat with. ATV excursion hour ride each way for half hour atv, was fun but likely not worth it. Tubing was a blast. Room service takes 45 minutes but is good! Enjoyed the pools and property. Did not enjoy club level, wouldn’t recommend, you don’t need it if you are savvy it’s just an extra layer to go through–even if you book excursions you go to the excursion shack. They just weren’t able to help me with anything. Would’ve gotten a nicer room over club.

This resort is amazing! The staff is incredible, the food is great (especially the sushi), and the entertainment is energetic! There is a lot of amazing shows and talent here!
We got married here in the chapel and stayed for our honeymoon. Our wedding planner, Val, took care of everything so it was totally stress-free. All we had to do was pick out a cake flavor and she took care of all of the other details.
The hair and makeup crew was fabulous and achieved exactly what we all wanted. The photographer was great! Super friendly, quick, and creative. I can’t wait to see our video.
We had the best time at karaoke every night with Marton – he is the life of the party and always around the resort with a smile on his face.
We enjoyed meeting all of the staff; everyone is very polite and it was nice seeing familiar faces during our stay.
    We will definitely be back!

Resort was beautiful. No complaints there. Same with the service we received, it was excellent. Food was okay. My biggest issue is you can’t make dining reservations until you are at the resort. We had a five day stay and both of the restaurants we wanted to eat at that required reservations were booked out the entirety of our stay. So we had a trip planned for six months and didn’t get to eat at the places we wanted. Also there isn’t many options for drinks. For soda your options are basically Coke or Sprite. And for beer Red Stripe is the only beer on site. I understand it’s probably cheapest and easiest for them to keep that in stock but for what people pay to stay here there should be some other options. TV didn’t work at all, and the front desk was made aware of it. It never got fixed, but we didn’t travel to Jamaica to watch TV so I’m not holding that against them. We really enjoyed our stay, not sure if we need to do another Sandals vacation though.

Absolutely amazing time there with my wife for a week. Definitely worth every penny spent! We loved it and booked on site for 2023! I hope to get more friends and family to go to these wonderful resorts! This resort has the fun party atmosphere if you want it and if you want peace and quiet and romance you have it also. It will be hard to beat South Coast!!

Just ok. Not worth the money in my opinion. Every restaurant took forever and the food was mediocre. It’s like a behind closed doors buffet where they actually only cook to order a few things. You have to make a reservation for dinner at two restaurants.. they were booked up until the day we left. After complaining to 4 different people we finally got a reservation. There was nothing spectacular about the beach or swimming area. Pools were nice! Entertainment was great! We stayed in the French village (cheapest), the room was fine. Bed was comfy. Ride to and from the airport was terrifying. I’m glad I went and experienced it, but I don’t have a need to ever go again.

We had a great time. Sandals makes it seem nicer than it actually is. The room I had that I paid an astronomical amount of money for was not as nice or clean as it should of been. The best thing about this place was how friendly the staff is. They all greet you and say hello as they pass you by. They are constantly cleaning the palace so the grounds are well kept and sanitized. We had butler service and they did an awesome job, however sandals assigns too many people to a butler and they run around like crazy all day long all over the resort. So it may take awhile until you can get something and it’s not the butler’s fault they do an amazing job but sandals corporation needs to learn how to treat their employees. I noticed they take advantage, I watched and observed alot, occupational hazard I guess. The only reason I would book with them again and spend another 8 grand on a trip is because of their employees. They treated us great! But maybe then should not assign so many people to 2 butler’s or better assign them so they don’t run from one end of the Resort to the other. Had 2 awesome Butler’s and thank them for taking care of us.

We visited Sandals Montego Bay for our 15 year wedding anniversary and the resort did not miss! Our last time in Jamaica was for our honeymoon, so we were due back.

From the airport pickup, to our reception at check-in, we felt like we were in paradise. The food, drinks, entertainment, and hospitality were all very nice. This resort is close to the airport, and as we saw with other reviews, we quickly got used to the planes taking off. There aren’t many taking off each day, and they only occur midday, not at night or early morning. The resort has several pools and restaurants, but the beach views are so beautiful! We only entered a pool once; most of our time was spent on the beach.

Hospitality is five stars?. There wasn’t one staff member that didn’t ask if we needed something if they caught us
idle or if we weren’t holding a drink! Very proactive customer service.

Thank you, Sandals, for an amazing vacation. We look forward to our next Sandals vacation, which is already scheduled for next year.

My wife and I recently stayed at Sandals Montego Bay for our honeymoon and had an amazing experience. We booked a beachfront walk out butler suite and were very happy with the suite as well as the service we were provided during our week-long stay. Our room was near the restaurants, activities, pools, and of course the beach. While the butler level rooms do come with added amenities, every employee we interacted with from the airport transfer personnel to the groundskeepers went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and having a great time. Our butlers, Mykal and Paris, were phenomenal! They checked in on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. They took note of our room preferences and daily schedules and were always one step ahead of us. Each day our room was stocked with all our favorite beverages, our favorite beach spot was reserved each morning, and they would even bring us drinks and food out to the beach or pool when they knew we were getting hungry. Every afternoon they decorated our room, drew us a bubble bath, and left us little messages to let us know our trip was all about celebrating our love for each other.

We had such an awesome week and unfortunately can’t remember all the names of the amazing staff we interacted with but Carlos and Renando from the water sports shop made sure we had a blast snorkeling, snubaing, and taught us how to wind surf. Peta-Gay, Kevann, and Tresann made sure everyone was having fun on the beach and in the pool by organizing fun games and rallying everyone for volleyball. All our servers for dinner were amazing, especially Natassia who kept our drinks and great food coming while we were at Oleander. Overall, this was a five-star experience. We met so many great people throughout the week and we are already counting down the days until we make another trip down for an amazing getaway.

This is a awesome resort. I don’t like that there is no window in the bedroom area. But the views are breath taking. The water is so blue and clear in most areas. All you can eat food and drink. The wife loved it for her birthday.

We went for a wedding. I have been to MANY all inclusive resorts and this was by far the most expensive, so my expectations were high. We had a butler that was not available because he was a waiter and a butler to 10 other couples. There is no entertainment or activities. VERY BORING! We waited hours to eat each night and the food selection during the day was not good.
The staff was AMAZING, however very hard working people. We arrived at at 10am and could not get into our room till 3, that was frustrating. There was one swim up bar with no music and hardly a bartender there. I will not be returning. Sandals needs to step it up or lower there prices!!

Absolutely loved this resort. My husband and I stayed in the Romeo & Juliet Butler Suite. The room, though dated, was still beautiful and very comfortable (we were only in there long enough to sleep anyway). The resort was not so big that you could lose yourself and the amount of guest prevented overcrowding. There are plenty of activities at the resort and the staff even have competitions through the day which were so much fun. Nightly entertainment was amazing as well. All of the restaurants were amazing and having the butler service was worth not having to worry about making reservations, trying to get chairs on the beach or by the pool. Our butlers were Gay-Ann and Andre and we would definitely request them again. They went above and beyond for us and made our visit so much more special. Sandals Montego Bay is a short drive away via shuttle they provide. The staff was amazing from landscapers, housekeeping and on up to management. The landscaping is absolutely stunning throughout the entire resort.

My wife and I just returned from a 7 day trip the Sandals Royal Caribbean and it is exactly what we were wanting. Overall our experience was amazing. The staff is so friendly and everyone was so helpful from the time that we arrived until the time that we checked out. I could name names of the ones that go above and beyond but it was really so many. If you are looking for a low profile laid back experience this is your place. We stayed in a club level suite but you would have thought that we had the best room on the property. The food was good at most every place we tried. Their was really nothing that we wished they would change. If you are more into the party scene then their are shuttles that run on the hour to Montego Bay that is a short 10 min ride away. Then you can come back to the peace and quite at Royal Caribbean and relax. We were not at all disappointed. We rebooked for another resort while on property to take the kids next year. Can’t wait for the whole family to experience Sandals next year.

Sandals Royal Caribbean has some of the most amazing and accommodating staff! Abigail made sure our room was impeccable all week. Devon was a delight during our dining experience at the Thai Restaurant. He had excellent suggestions and was an excellent host. We ventured to Sandals Montego Bay for dinner at Butch’s and had the most wonderful experience thanks to our server Phillip. He really made the experience special!

Stacey-Ann was a delight at the pool as always. We’ve come to love seeing her smiling face. To round out the nods our butler team of Roy and Cooper crushed it and made it one of the best weeks. We never wanted for anything. One call and our worries melted away. Thanks to all! Til’ next time ??

My husband and I just returned from Royal Caribbean a few days ago. I have to give my compliments to our butlers Ian and Nicole who were very attentive and thoughtful. The entertainment was excellent and the food was great. However on our first night there we had no hot water and the water pressure was really low. Maintenance was unable to fix the problem and told us that the engineer would need to evaluate the situation the following day. Well I expected that the issue would have been addressed first thing the following morning but it wasn’t. When I called to ask when the problem would be fixed no one had been told that we had no hot water. Maintenance finally figured out that a pipe was broken and the water had to be turned off in order to complete the repair. I could have never imagined that we would spend that much money for a vacation and have to deal with such a problem. During this time we were never offered an apology from management or even an offer to change rooms. Before we left the resort I asked to speak to someone from management who then apologized for the situation and offered us 15000 points for the inconvenience. An apology the day the incident occurred would have meant a lot more than an apology that I had to ask for. We definitely will not be returning to the Royal Caribbean and as for those promised points, we’re still waiting on them.

We had a wonderful experience at Sandals Royal Carribean in Montego Bay, Jamaica! It was our very first international vacation and all-inclusive resort… and it more than exceeded our expectation! The staff were fantastic, location was incredible, room was amazing, and amenities were 5-star. We really enjoyed the private island and spent most of our time there (2-minute complementary boat ride). The pool and swim up bar and access to the beach were a selling point. The only thing that didn’t quite live up to our expectation was the food. It was delicious and many choices available throughout the day, but it just didn’t meet my 5-star expectation. It was still amazing! All in all… we would definitely book at this Sandals Resort again!
