  1. Horrible. Flatbush Ave location in Hartford, CT has a manager with curly hair and a lazy eye. She is very rude and impatient, both occasions I shopped there I had the same experience with her. I got the vibe the first time, the second time confirmed it. My first born, my first time shopping in babies stores. I said I’ll never shop at a children’s place again.

  2. On 4/7/22 the second shift Puerto Rican manager with glasses on is a nasty person. How on earth is she a manager with her poor customer service skills. I will post her name as soon as I get it! She will make this location lose customers for sure.

  3. No stars…. Placed order on 4/25 expected delivery 4/28 received email saying my package was delivered which was a lie. Never received package called customer service was told to call the delivery company and they can provide proof of delivery called comp was told the proof of delivery was system generated (no picture) the representative started a claim to investigate and it can take up to a week. I requested to be reimbursed and have not received anything yet. This is ridiculous and I will never purchase anything else from the children’s place and I’ll be waiting for my refund

  4. Horrible customer service. While at the register male employee an asked if the order was in two separate orders, I said no just one purchase please. Male employee proceeded to assume I was mad and I quote his words “don’t be mad is part of my job”. Nasty personality. Assuming is never the way to go.

  5. I love this place I can usually shop here for everything. I would say that the clothes is a little pricey but well worth it if you find a sale or purchase when they’re having major discounts and clearance.

I was recently shopping there and an older caucasian employee made me feel uncomfortable several times while shopping. My child had to go to the bathroom twice and she was questioning my child about having to really go and watching us. After the bathroom incident when I’m going to purchase my items, she felt the need to mention all my items are full price and not on sale. It was very rude being that I was already being helped by a younger nice employee on all three occasions and she kept inserting herself.

Store manager with the glasses completely rude and had a major attitude. Young girl with the glasses was extremely nice, but the manager has terrible customer service skills. I will never shop there again.

I had a bad experience with a person who works there. She is an adult lady. She uses glasses. I think she is 53 years old, she has no patience, she is rude, unfriendly and racist. In the last visit I made to my family, they treated us badly. It is unfortunate that a person like this is serving the client because for that bad experience we will not go back to that store.

Very good customer service as usual….and if I asked a question or looking for something they helped me…never have I ever had bad service in the store.. Branford store

Parents should avoid this daycare as its very disorganized and poorly run. The owner is consistently absent and treats parents and her employees terribly. She refuses to have a conversation with parents and is often rude and disrespectful over text (which is the only way she’ll communicate with you once you sign your contract). We noticed a lot of red flags over the years but finally decided to leave after the center was recently flooded due to a burst pipe that took a month to repair and the owner wanted parents to pay full price while the center was closed like you would for a snowday. She also wouldn’t speak to any parents directly and only sent updates thru text that were never accurate as they kept promising to re-open only to inform you last minute that they won’t be able to open due to issues they ran into with the state’s licensing board. We concluded that this likely wouldn’t be an isolated incident as we suspected the building was being poorly maintained because the owner was never around to notice if anything needed to be fixed.

Over the last year+ we’ve also seen consistent turnover with the teachers and some of the teachers that have stuck it out appear unhappy to be there when you drop your kids off. We originally picked this daycare because we heard it had a good reputation and 30-year track record supporting Glastonbury but there’s no way the owner treated her clients like she is currently to build that reputation up over her first two decades in business. In the current day she’s un-interested, checked out and acts like someone who hates running a daycare.

Parents should avoid this daycare as the owner is consistently absent and treats her customers and employees terribly. Our kids are much happier since we left the center after it closed unexpectedly from a flood in Jan 2022.

Every morning when we pull up to OCP our son gets so excited and has the biggest smile on his face. The staff are so good to him, they are organized, and they have great communication with parents. You can tell they really care about these children and their development. We are so happy that we picked Our Children’s Place for our son!

We generally don’t write reviews, but wanted to say how pleased we are with Our Children’s Place. The staff continues to be organized, loving, caring and also focus on child development. We like how they blend the transitions between age groups and adjoining rooms. The play area is expansive (for little ones) and, if the weather is good, there is a plenty of outside time. We also appreciate their flexibility with respect to allowing some personal items (e.g., blanket). We couldn’t be more happy with the staff and team and would recommend Our Children’s Place!

I have had my 2 year old here since he was 1 and also currently have my 9 and 8 year old attending summer camp. They do an excellent job teaching and caring for my children. I could not ask for better staff. Their feedback is timely and helpful (they will call me regularly if something is up with my kids). The summer camp has been great. My 9 and 8 year old tell me this is their best summer yet.
Outstanding place. You won’t go wrong having your children here for childcare!

Can’t say enough great things about this wonderful school. Started both my girls when I went back to work (3 – 4 months old) and the nurturing environment really helped me with the transition! The teachers are incredibly patient, loving and calm and keep me sane each day. The student / teacher ratios are fantastic and the hours are ideal for working parents with early drop off and late pick ups. There is enrichment provided to the children, as well. Even the babies are doing art, yoga and participating in music class! It’s amazing to see. The community of parents is also incredibly supportive. I’ve met some truly wonderful people at this school who have turned into dear friends. The school offers classes all the way up to kindergarten with flexible programs and hours based on parents needs. If you are new to the area, this is a fantastic way to meet other families, as well. Highly recommend!!!

I have only amazing things to say about A Child’s Place. I have had four children go through the program and would highly recommend it, having experience at two other preschools. The environment is nurturing, the teachers are loving, and the extremely dedicated director genuinely cares about each child and parent. I am in a better mood every time I leave the school, knowing that my children have been able to have that experience. My kids have entered kindergarten as happy, well adjusted, and confident students. They were taught in a play based manner that is age appropriate. Additionally, there is a strong community of parents who are supportive and open. It is a wonderful way to meet people with the many events they have to foster the school community. Overall, the most telling thing is how much my kids love it. It is a truly special place.

We couldn’t be more thrilled with our children’s experience at A Child’s Place preschool. We moved from NYC barely knowing anybody, and as soon as we walked into A Child’s Place we felt at home. The director and teachers are kind, attentive and dedicated, and the parent community is so diverse and involved. They offer specials like Spanish, yoga, music, art and animal embassy, and the kids learn so much on a daily basis. Highly recommend!

My daughter started in the infant room at A Child’s Place and has since graduated to the 3’s program. Now, my son is in the infant room. My husband and I have been so pleased with their development. The teachers are so attentive to the children and display a very loving, yet constructive style to their approach. The variety of activities throughout the day such as yoga, music, outdoor play in the garden, and art are some of the many great attributes the school has to offer. The low student to teacher ratio is another aspect that helps the school stand out among others. Given this ratio, teachers can be more effective at their job. This means that our children have more time and attention from each teacher, which is what we have come to love about ACP.

My husband and I moved to Westport 4 years ago. Our families are far away so the thought of being in a new town was daunting to us. Through ACP we have developed close and supportive friendships. The decision to send our children to ACP is by far the best one we’ve made for our kiddos!

What a special place! Choosing a preschool is a daunting task with so many options – after touring and researching lots of schools we landed at ACP and couldn’t be happier! It’s an accredited pre school with flexible hours and amazing teachers and staff! My kids absolute love going to school and I love that when they graduate they are ready to hit kindergarten running! Not to mention our amazing summer camp/3s teacher basically potty trained my eldest haha! Only snag is it fills up fast so apply early!!

Place cash is a joke and the sales associates could care less about losing a loyal customer. I spoke with an assoc. the day after the coupon expired and was told they don’t honor after the printed date. I called back and asked for contact info for the D.M. and the mgr. got on the phone. Point is a person still has to spend cash to redeem the coupon. So this tells me that they will not be in business for too much longer because a sale is a sale and the customer should be serviced as so. Last purchase they offered a credit card and I’m really glad I declined. Bye Bye Children’s Place!

Staff too busy talking with each other. I needed assistance with reaching corporate and I waited in line for 25 minutes for assistance and finally left. Didn’t follow appropriate mask wearing. They were not customer focused

Worst staff.. they don’t greet customers properly and act if we are getting clothes for free.
