We chose this Children’s Place location because it had better reviews than one just a couple miles farther away. The lady at the checkout was polite and helpful. I set my returns at the counter and proceeded to the section I needed. The employee, Lanita, was extremely rude and wouldn’t give me but a few seconds to look through and try to find the size I needed, before she’d interrupt and ask me to “move”. About the 3rd time she huffed and puffed and then rudely said “excuse me” and then moved her stool directly in front of the rack I was trying to look through. I gave up and went to the checkout with the two items I was able to find. The employee at the checkout was already processing a return for another customer so she called for Lanita. Lanita walked to the front and proceeded to argue with her saying “you’ve got TWO customers!”….“I know how to do returns already!!”….”I’m supposed to be doing something.”…”This is ridiculous.” and on and on. This lasted 1-2 minutes before she finally agreed to help. She then needed help with EVERY step of the exchange, and was extremely rude to the other employee as well and halfway through started complaining that the other employee needs to “let her do regular transactions too!”
I have never in my life witnessed someone who works in customer service act so disrespectful and unprofessional. I have 10 years of management experience, and I’m absolutely blown away that this woman was given a job. We won’t be back to this store after this experience. It was a great learning experience for my 10 year old daughter though!By Dustin Reyna (3 years ago)Came to do some back to school shopping. The lady was really helpful in finding the sizes for my kids. She even went above and beyond by checking the back and finding more items of their size. Even offered for them to try it on. Thank you.By Jocelyn Garcia (a year ago)Updated post….. the location has been opened back up. Have been here several times I love the sales…… below this is my original review…….This place is not open. Website said it was. Called no answer. Thought they might have been busy and it’s not to far from my house so I just went. They had a eviction notice on the door for non payment of rent. 😒 so sad I really hope they get it together I love this store for my kids.By Stacy Galindo (a year ago)Sharonda is a sweetheart! Great customer service. She went in the back to look for a size I needed for my itty bitty daughter, even though the store was a little crazy due to school shopping. Didn’t have an attitude or anything, which is much appreciated. Especially after getting off work and going to three different stores because I couldn’t find her size.By Ashley Fields (4 years ago)Worst Children’s place experience ever. Workers were no help finding anything other than over there.. then I get to the register to pay for the uniforms and she couldn’t figure out what was wrong with the register. Ok cool I can wait but then she just walks off and goes into the back 🤔 the other lady took my payment and I left. No thanks have a good day. None of that. Customer service is horrible and employees are incompetent.By Adrianne Edwards (3 years ago)

Can’t really tell you about the clothes selection because the store was a mess. There is no kind of organization at all. It was set up more like a garage sale. I didn’t even have the patience to shift thru the mess and employees weren’t even attempting to organize.By devin hendrix (4 years ago)That Angelica was rude and don’t have no customer service! You get 0 stars from me The Children Place. How can u have someone like her work for y’all.By vanessa anderson (4 months ago)This store is always clean and neat! The sales and money a shopper can save is exceptional. Why go to the other department stores when you can get QUALITY clothing at a more affordable price? Love this store, and so does my daughter!By Sadiah Ani (5 years ago)I waited in line 10minutes with one person in front of me who was already paying by the way. One cashier was having a conversation with a lady who stated she was not in line yet she finished her phone call and began to check out. On top of that theres a male at the corner filing up a back pack with clothes and walked out. I thought he worked there but turns out my family were waiting outside for me and saw him in action. Wrong choice of individuals to be representing The Childrens Place.By Brenda Lopez (3 years ago)Just left this store without buying anything, the employees are giving discounts this lady came out paying anything for a bag full of clothes I’m sure they know each other. They took FOREVER I ended up leaving and buying NOTHING I will NEVER come back to this place another thing its VERY DIRTY super Messy!!By Sonia Yguerabide (3 years ago)

I’ve called this store twice.. the 1st time they lied about returning online purchases. I called CS and they said that stores IN FACT take back online orders and do exchanges. I CALLED back and spoke w a guy who was NOT enthusiastic about working I asked the same question again and what do I need to bring for a refund or exchange to occur, he told me and ended the call w mmmhmm as opposed to goodbye??? DUDE if you don’t like your job go get another 1!!!By K Mart (5 months ago)I will never go back. I’d drive miles away than 10 minutes up the street for this store. Girl piled my clothes together and double scanned them. Customers will not know because they no longer let you see what have been scanned. Constantly have new people. Never the same people when you go in. Asked for my driver’s license for my Children’s Place credit card and not anyone else’s. But she was thief.By Pebbles Barker (a year ago)This location first off is small and unorganized. Making it feel like a large untidy closet. I came to this location on 8/22/2015 the Saturday before school started here in TX. The lines were long, as expected for this time of year. Before getting in line with my 3 year old, I made a mention to the cashier that I had a exchange with no receipt because I was unsure of which “line” to stand in. She nodded and motioned for me to get in line to the right of her. 25 minutes later, yes literally that’s how long I waited, I finally get to the counter and again say I have an exchange with no reciept but my son wanted a book bag and I’d gladly pay the difference. I was told a policy had recently changed and I couldn’t do that. I explained since this “policy” wasn’t posted anywhere, that I didn’t want cash just an exchange, and more importantly since me and a 3 year old waited in this long line there had to be a middle ground or agreement that could be done. I was rudely dismissed. I couldn’t believe how the situation was handled. ESPECIALLY since I made a mention to the cashier BEFORE I wasted my time. The items I was exchanging were gifts that didn’t fit my children and honestly if they were exchanged probably would’ve been a 10-15 bucks and they treated me as if I stole money out of the cash register. It wasn’t the policy it was the way it was handled and how I was treated. I will never go back to this location and the whole experience has me questioning me frequenting a store like this. Horrible way to spend a Saturday afternoon. It’s funny that when you write a review on Google, they ask “What did you like about it”, the sad part is truthfully nothing. I’ve loved and shopped at The Children’s Place since my now 8 year old was just a toddler. I’ve been a Diamond level rewards member for YEARS. I frequent the location in Grapevine Mills Mall (LOVE that location by the way) and I shop online a lot. Unfortunately for me, this location is the closest to me and I needed to make, what I thought at the time, as a quick exchange. Never Again!By Tiffany Smith (7 years ago)Worst location ever. I will NEVER shop here or at any Children’s Place for that matter. I had to return 3 items with tags and stickers attached and a gift receipt. 2 ladies took forever to try to look up my items then said I would have to exchange for the exact item and if that item wasn’t available in that store then to “call around” to find a store that would exchange it for me. They would not even give me store credit. The store is also super cramped, Workers and managers acted like I was trying to scam them over what was probably $20 or less (not sure it was a gift for my grandson). I was with a friend from California and we were both absolutely stunned, and I was embarrassed that we had a store like that in my city. Please stay away from here. Not worth your money.By C.T (4 years ago)Terrible customer service and the store is disorganized you can barely walk through the aisles. There really doesn’t seem to be any aisles it’s just a huge mess. The ladies that work here have no patience for children not sure why they would work at a place dedicated to selling clothes for children. Don’t recommend this location even though I do really like the clothes I’d prefer to order online. Avoid this location it’s not going to be a fun experience.By Denise Rivera (3 years ago)

Love this store! I get school clothes and uniforms every year. 😊By Ambrecia Gambrell (5 months ago)They really don’t care about costumer service. I try to return a shirt that didn’t fit my kid, I had my order # and the card I used but their system didn’t take it even thought it was the same one I used, so I couldn’t get my money back, or exchange it for sth else or get store credit. They just told me sorry nothing we can do. The manager (male) didn’t care at all, he acted as I was not even there.By Alejandra Almaguer (5 months ago)This stores closes at 9pm. I walked in around 8:20 and was not greeted at all. Ok cool, no big deal, but then I had a young girl come up to me and tell me i have 10 minutes. I explained their website specifically says 9 and so does their door. I felt so bothered that I quickly got some of what i needed but not exactly what I needed. They didnt want to help me find what I was looking for, they just wanted to rush me out. Will never set foot in this store again.By Jessica Maldonado (7 months ago)Did a quick return from an online order at this location. Staff was friendly and quick! No problems at all.By Katlynn Nguyen (2 months ago)Horrible service. I asked the 1st cashier I wanted to exchange a pack of boys underwear for a different size and return the 2 t-shirts I had purchased on-line. She said fine go get your correct size and asked if I wanted a gift card or placed back on the debit card. I told her a gift card is fine. I come back to the register with the correct size underwear and 2 pairs of jeans and now the underwear are $19.95 not $13.95 (on-line price) manager stated I couldn’t get the $13.95 price because the incompetent cashier gave me the whole order on a gift card. I told her that I had given instructions to the cashier that I wanted to exchange the underwear for correct size and return the other two T-shirts. Long story short I had to get online on my phone and look for the underwear and show them the $13.95 online only price which they went ahead and honored. They were so rude about it.By Veronica Quesada (a year ago)

Whoever is managing this store is royally messing up. There’s no space making it hardly shop-able, long lines and only one employee- who takes 10 minutes just to check out each person, looks worse than a Ross store! I came in just to return and was turned into an over 30 minute ordeal.
The whole return and checkout process is just ridiculous I can’t believe they’re even in business I definitely won’t be returning
HORRIBLE Customer service ! One lady in particular was on the phone The entire time gossiping , We waited More than an hour To purchase our clothes Just because she was Gossiping and wouldn’t Help anyone
I went to this store few years back and received really bad service, never went back, just decided to do my shopping online. I started to go back for pick ups and been receiving good service, clerks have been really helpful when i need it and about a month ago during back to school shopping, yes there was a line, and yes it made it difficult to shop because of the line BUT that doesn’t mean im going to rate it poorly. Not there fault everyone wants to go school shopping around the same time. Do your shopping online or maybe earlier next time. The reason for my 5 starts is not only of there awesome service but because I waited in line for 30 minutes and once I got to the cashier, she still gave me excellent service even after dealing with a long line and rude frustrated customers.
I am a frequent customer at this location and I never had a bad experience until the other day, I just went in to exchange my daughters shoes, the other people on the floor were helpful and nice. However, the front cashier was hella rude, I greeted her and I was met with an attitude like I was getting on her nerves. I don’t quite understand it, if your in customer service there is a certain type of hospitality that goes along with that. I got neither, that lady was rude as hell. She was not pleasant in the least bit during my checkout process. It’s simple, if your not a people person don’t get a job in customer service. I don’t know if I ever wanna go back there. PS: I know, because I have 25 years of experience in it.
(Visit to store on 11/16/2022)Horrible customer service. The cashier was very rude and all on her phone. She needs to go through a customer service training course or be terminated. I came into the store yesterday and the service I received was worst than EVER. This is not the first time. It’s always horrible customer service in this store. Either have a week of customer service training or fire the whole staff. Simple. I wll not be shopping the store again.
