It’s hard to rate this 😂 It’s fun to see even though it’s kind of gross! The upper area of the walls are black. People have used their gum to make “art”. Because of the history of the gum wall its worth checking out!By Lynnkitty (5 months ago)Driving around downtown SLO on Christmas Eve, seemed really packed because there was an area to take pictures with Santa, so there was lot of people around. Surprisingly, nobody was at Bubblegum Alley. I got to take alot of pics and really enjoyed looking at the grossness of old gum. Nonetheless, this spot is must see while in the area.By Melystikal (4 weeks ago)🌟𝔹𝕌𝔹𝔹𝕃𝔼𝔾𝕌𝕄 𝔸𝕃𝕃𝔼𝕐🌟

》Bubblegum alleys is located in San Luis Obispo, CA.
65 feet long and 15 feet high, this alleyway began in the 1950’s, though it is unclear exactly how or why it began.
Fully cleaned twice in the 1970’s, it came back each time. By the 1990’s, the gum alley had been there for so long that when the local business association tried to have it cleaned once again, they were politely refused….Pretty Disgusting 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but it was interesting to see it 《By Daniela Gaudino (5 months ago)Fun and quirky – and yes, maybe a little gross and stupid, but just something silly to do on our road trip in addition to enjoying charming San Luis Obispo.By Mona Wood (2 months ago)I think this is one of the most interesting historical places I’ve ever seen! Fun fact: Some historians believe that the tradition of the alley started after WWII as a San Luis Obispo High School graduating class event. Others believe it started in the late 1950s, as the rivalry between San Luis Obispo High School and California Polytechnic State University students. It’s really cool to see! It does have an odor but all the fun colors make up for that!

Our family went for the special Double Creature feature (Gremlins & Lost Boys). It was awesome to see these 80s classics on the big screen! There was also a fun band playing before the movies started, & a costume contest too! Lots of fun for all of us.By Tonya Jasper (3 months ago)Was a wonderful experience. Felt like a gem hidden amongst us. Places like this are rare and I appreciate people who hold onto what’s most important in life providing a place where people can come and be treated kindly at the gate at the concession stand …. God bless them all. Praise God 🙏By Garrett Pool (8 months ago)The best of drive in experiences – nostalgia guaranteed! Not only did we get to see a fun movie but the beauty in the sky was spectacular – awesome cloud formations with stars above.
We meet with my sister-in-law – my nephew spent $10 on candy and came back to our group with quite a collection.
Nights can get cool so bring jackets and blankets.
By Josh Erdman (a year ago)Such a cool treasure to have in our county! So ThankFul for those kids that work every Sunday so we can have a forum to buy, trade, and sell! Searching for something unique? You will find it here! Great for all ages! Bring your wagon!By Pat Taylor (11 months ago)Legit old school drive in, with the new feature of broadcasting audio over FM radio. The locals bring their block rocker stereos and play them outside the car for everyone to hear.Everything you remember from the drive in… Sitting outside cars in lawn chairs, horns going off, cars pulling in late and headlights shining in your eyes, even planes flying overhead. If you go in with the right state of mind, you’re going to have a good time.
Last but not least, the concession stand is old school with 1990s prices. We got two large popcorns, two theater size candies, a hot dog and large drink for $24. Makes for a good time.

This is a great place to visit just to marvel at the decor. I only stopped in to walk through and have a drink at the bar, I did not visit the restaurant or stay in one of the rooms. There is no cost to get in the door and wander around, but the cost of whatever you buy in the gift shop or at the bar will make up for it. Still it is fantastic to walk through and admire the woodwork, photos, and everything else that makes this place truly unique. Hope you like pink!
The rooms and the grounds are amazing! Absolutely over the top Camp, you won’t be disappointed. We also had drinks and ate at the steak house, which were really great as well. My only complaint is that it’s not as pedestrian friendly as it should be – to walk from the restaurants/bar up to the rooms was an experience in itself (huge hill and competing with cars). A nice pedestrian only walk way would be really amazing and make this place even better
Dining review only: I visited the Madonna Inn’s Silver Bar Cocktail Lounge and Copper Cafe. This place is magical with the decor and detailed designs everywhere! What a fun place to visit and the vibe was cheery and also chill. The staff were attentive and friendly. I appreciated a section on the menu specifically for Vegan items. Plenty of parking available. Include time to wander the main building and their shops and the bakery counter. The decorative chocolates were the best!
The love story behind this is a beautiful one. The staff in the cafe for breakfast were wonderful. Josh was very personable. The coffee was fresh and hot. The eggs Benedict super yummy.
I took my husband back for dinner on a Friday night. It was very busy. There was a private party with a live band playing which was a wonderful addition to the atmosphere. The meal prices were much higher than I expected. We started with the mushroom fries which were fantastic.
Our meals came and they were huge. Way more food than we could eat in one sitting. We were traveling and unfortunately couldn’t bring our leftovers home with us.
I love it here! The food and atmosphere are amazing! Old 50’s feel and great place for a romantic weekend. Had the portobello mushroom fries which are not the mushrooms as appetizers and it was amazing! Had halibut entree it was also delicious! I can’t wait to come back to stay in one of the rooms! Our server was awesome! Very nice and welcoming!
