  1. The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center is conveniently located near the Marriott River Center and a few other hotels. Perfect and spacious for a conference. Navigating your way throughout can be a little confusing but we had some guidance.

  2. Convention center is huge! Very well decorated. The stars at night ballroom is one of my favorites as it’s very aesthetically pleasing. Lots of bathrooms near every area and there are escalators and elevators to help you get to where you need to go

  3. The huge Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center is located in downtown San Antonio, half a block from the Riverwalk and a couple of blocks from The Alamo and other historic sites and lots of eateries and retail shopping. Good climate control, acoustics, and frequent signage to get you to your location. Very impressive.

  4. Large expansive convention and conference center. It’s in a slow recovery mode as it relates to snack bars and places to get drinks. The center was very clean, comfortable and easy to Navigate for our recent church conference

It would be much better if snack bars or vending machines were available

  5. The Convention Center is beautiful. It has three floors with ballrooms of all shapes and sizes. I went for the Texas State Cheer and Dance Competition so the Ballroom we were in was huge. The staff was great they have a information booth as soon as you enter the building at the main entrance. There are many hotels in the area if you need to book somewhere to stay. There are restaurants and the convention center is located right on river walk so there’s plenty to do with family. I just love it there.

I was in San Antonio for a conference and stayed at this location. It’s an easy walk to the convention center. But what really made our stay fantastic was the staff! Super friendly. Super helpful. Super warm and inviting. This included: front desk, valet, house keeping and especially the morning staff making sure the breakfast items were out and that there was plenty of hot coffee. Thank you so much for making a long work week feel like home!!!

I had a good time at this location and I would definitely stay here again. The air conditioner had a couple issues in my room but it wasn’t a deal breaker at all. Everything else was great. The specials at the downstairs bar were pretty good! It was walking distance from a lot of different things around the downtown area. The concierge staff of super friendly and even gave water to help cool off when coming back in.

Excellent hotel with some of the most friendliest workers and great customer service! We loved Veronica and Gino! They were so helpful and kind! They really made our visit pleasant. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was not good, but the service and the clean, large rooms were so nice that I have to give it five stars. The hotel was in walking distance of the Alamo, Ripley’s believe it or not, and the Riverwalk.

This was a wonderful hotel. It is located close to everything that you can simply walk there. Everyone is nice there, and makes sure you get the best experience. I recommend getting the valet service, they work fast and is so worth it. Rooms were clean and had a lot of room. The FREE breakfast was good and had many options to try. If your heading to San Antonio, this is the place to stay!!

We were upgraded to this side of the property from the Fairfield next door. It was a great experience and just what we needed for the last two days of our trip. The front desk staff were all exceptional and friendly. The breakfast was really good and the staff even went out of their way to take care of us.

This hotel was awesome. It is in a great location next to the convention center. The beds are comfortable and rooms were amazing. I would say the only thing it needed is a bigger TV. There was a small kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, cutlery, pans, glasses and bowls. Breakfast was served daily and dinner Monday – Wednesday. Plus the view was pretty good

I stayed here for 1 month on business while on military orders, and my experience here could not have been better!

The room is everything you need for an extended stay–kitchenette (microwave, stove, dishwasher, silverware/necessities), a living room and bedroom each with its own TV, and a pretty good view of the city if you are on the correct side. Housekeeping was Monday-Friday with “light-touch” meaning they come in and exchange your towels, replenish your soaps, and check in to see if you need anything. One day a week there is full service housekeeping where they do everything such as exchange your bedding, clean the kitchen/bathroom, etc.

Mon, Tues, Wed there is a “social hour” at 5:30-7pm where there’s free dinner and alcohol (beer, wine), which will save you from needing to buy food or cook. Breakfast in the morning and all day coffee is as good as you’d expect. Staff was pleasant and attentive should you need anything. It is also great walking distance to the Riverwalk and there are some great restraunts right around the corner. This hotel is overall clean and the floors are pretty quiet if you need to wake up early on weekends.

I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone requiring an extended stay, such as on military orders, to choose this hotel!! I would 10/10 stay here again.

I absolutely loved our stay here. The breakfast was some of the best I’ve had in a while, the rooms are spacious, and it had a kitchenette. The only downside were the bed and the room being next to an elevator so we kept hearing a rattling noise from the elevator going up and down (room 406). The bed was very firm and I tossed and turned both nights we stayed. But you can’t beat being so close to the river walk and how easy it is to get to the hotel.

Parking is a building away from the hotel so make sure you park in the designated 15 minute parking while unloading your belongings. You’ll need a key to get into the parking area and make sure you don’t forget to hang up your parking permit.

The front desk staff was very welcoming, professional and a joy to talk to. Luisa was a gem and went above & beyond in her knowledge.
Another plus is there location. You can walk into the Alamodome. It’s on East of I37. It’s also walking distance to the River City Mall and the River Walk. It’s out of the inner city congestion which is a definite plus.
Also there parking rates are low.
The rooms were clean and well stocked.
Thanks to the team that made our stay so enjoyable.
We will definetly stay there anytime were in San Antonio.

The hotel, room and grounds are top notch. I didn’t give full stars because of front desk lady’s lack of location knowledge. I asked about purchasing bedding and she referred me to the IHG website, which is incorrect. Website told me all locations are independently operated so I would need to reach out to hotel… Again!

My husband and I love and Houston, and decided we wanted to celebrate our 2year wedding anniversary with our family due to us getting married during Covid. We selected this venue for the convenience for both our families and that it came highly recommended by our wedding planner. It was a very short notice( 3 months) but the venue was available and we were impressed by the presentation. However…..if I never understood the saying everything that glitters isn’t gold, I have a very clear understanding now. Nothing was as I had expected. First, we had planned to have a floor wrapping for the dance floor for an agreed upon size( they were informed of the wrapping, and that I had to be ordered so the size was important), the morning of our event as we are getting ready, the wedding planners and myself found out that the venue decided to “upgrade”and increase the size of the dance floor, when made aware of what was discussed it was like well…., then during the appetizer hour, the food was late and they were charging guest cash for drinks and took some tickets for the alcoholic drinks, when during several meeting, phone calls and emails the thats hour was to be no charge for the alcoholic beverages, and I had purchased additional tickets for each 2adult guest to get two tickets(and to be honest half the people we expected didn’t even come, so we already had additional tickets) but when w that was made to their attention via provided contract there was a hassle for them to attempt to correct it and the best way to fix that was to give us additional tickets in the middle of the reception. Then during the main course what was served was not what was selected, when that was brought to their attention the only solution was that’s what the had down, but my planner, the venue rep, my husband and myself and had a sit down tasting. Then during the reception guest who presented the additional drink tickets that we had purchased couldn’t use them during the reception because the were supposed to use them during the hor d’oeuvre hour…..To some those may seem like trivial issues but when you put in all this effort to have this amazing vision of come true, and then to have let down after let down…with no accountability…I have the two stars because despite the negatives we still had an amazing day with family, friends, and even was blessed enough to the prayers from another wonderful sharing the venue.

We recently had a company party here in the Red Oak Ballroom. It was decorated and coordinated well but I give it 4 stars because I didn’t feel as though the food they provided was great – the prime rib served to me was overcooked, chewy, and fatty, the turkey was decent, and the side dishes were mediocre. The presentation was great however. And I did enjoy the party and the dance floor with my partner.

The company I work with exclusively uses Norris Conference Center for their seminars as they are exceptionally clean and the staff are willing to oblige to all needs. Although our seminars host about 120+ people, I’ve seen smaller groups,20 or 30, reserve rooms here as well.

Went for early voting. No line when I went around 930am. The volunteers were so helpful. I hope they know how much their smiles mean to us. Thanks for your help!

We went today for early voting and it was well-organized with no waiting lines and friendly, helpful volunteers. It was much better going early and having more voting machines. Good experience.

My wife were here to vote. The set up was very good, in keeping social distancing. The porch area had fans going for folks waiting in line outside. This was helpful. The voting was set up with plenty of space between machines. Plenty of convenient parking.

It was nice and clean. I enjoyed watching a SAISD middle School basketball game. The kids were treated like High schoolers from the announcers. Wow..I enjoyed it. A championship game will conclude on Monday after school. Hope I have time to see.
