  1. Beautiful secluded bay offering car parking, toilet, cafe and beach shop. Wind break and kayak hire available from the beach shop which had wetsuits hanging up.
Car park was £8 for the day in Jun 22. A quiet relaxing and stunning place. As for bathing, at time of writing in June there was no lifeguard available and the beach shelves steeply. Still a relaxing beach with plenty of space for everyone. Cafe prices were top end with tea at £2.15 and Hot Chocolate, although it was superbly chocolaty, was £3.69 As long as you know what you will pay, you have the choice.

  2. Dogs are banned. I am a responsible dog owner but many are not and it was a delight not having to worry about poo squishing between my toes.

There is a parking charge, (£9 July 2022), and there really are no other options.

A stunning location, tiny pebbles form the beach, lots of space, life guards, restaurant, shop and clean toilets.

  3. Wonder full clean privately owned beach with amazing views, and clear blue water, toilets are cleaned regularly, cafe offers simple snack type food and drinks but quite reasonably price’s. Parking for the day is £9 which isn’t too expensive for the hight of the summer, it is cheaper early in and towards the end of the year . Friendly helpful staff who seem only to willing to lend a hand to insure that you enjoy your experience is a pleasant one The owners work tirelessly to care for this amazing beautiful beach and hopefully will continue for many years to come so people can still enjoy this very special place in the future

  4. Beautiful private beach with car park, toilet, restaurant and shop.
It’s not a sandy beach, but a fine shingles so would recommend wet shoes to wear, still absolutely stunning place and had the best day ever with the kids!
Water is beautiful, clear and they have lifeguards as well.

  5. Stunning location. Big shingle beach. Small boxed in sand pit for children. Great cafe/bar/restaurant with lots of outdoor seating. Big manned car park. Arrived mid afternoon so he charged us £2. Think it was £5 standard fee for all day. Toilet block on site. Loved it there.

I don’t know what it is about the rocks on this beach but they make me feel happy to be there. The sound they make while you walk on them causes me to want to stomp around and act like a kid. The sound of the waves on the rocks is very relaxing. The cute little town just adds to the trip. I try to stop whenever I’m in the area on holiday.

Lovely beach and nature reserve great for a short walk, the beach is separated by large groins to stop erosion but that can make it harder to walk if the tide is in so check the tide timesvefore heading out. Take food with you if you plan to eat as the local fare is extortionate.

Nice Beech to go far a walk all year round. Large carpark but will easily fill up in the summer months. So get there early. All day parking available. Lots of places to get food from too.

Lovely place for walk and to enjoy the sea side. Parking is very close to the beach and lovely place to walk. There is also a mini park for kids.

Decent enough beach, lots of sand once the tide is out and not overly deep when the tide is in (in the summer). We hired a beach hut from the council and took our own food and drink which was probably for the best as all of the outlets are eye-wateringly over priced as they know they have a monopoly. Fun fair and amusements for the kids, ample parking, toilets and a life guard on duty.

Beautiful beautiful beach, we spent many lovely days here this summer, when the sea goes out its quite flat in places so not too deep, perfect for the kids and their inflatable tubes. There are some stones and seaweed, my son who has autism didn’t like the feel of the seaweed but there are shops at the top that sell water shoes, which were perfect so he could run in and out of the sea without a care in the world. Beach can get very busy at the top, we always walked further down where it was a bit quieter. Dogs are also allowed further down the beach

Beautiful huge clean beach with so much space. You’ll never feel crammed in or too close to another group. There’s an amazing ice cream bar just off the beach with so many flavours your spoilt for choice. Definitely a must visit.

Beautiful sandy beach with far reaching views across the bay of Exmouth.
Perfect conditions for kite-surfing and wind surfers. Scenic coastal walks along Jurassic Coast.

I struggle with walking, and it was so nice to be able to park so close. They had some brick built shelters on the beach front so I could sit out of the wind and soak up the beautiful views. I would think that it could be very busy in summer. With its lovely soft sand and cafes etc.

A definite favourite, cheap and convenient parking compared to a lot of beaches in the south west. Easy to access, clean, great for swimming and nearby facilities. Overnight parking is also available which is great for campervans.

Due to the tide being in, we were unable to go on to the beach.

    Some amazingly big waves though

Not a bad little beach. We visited just after storm Eunice and before storm frank. There were some good waves, plenty of surfers about. Loads walking on the beach. Some great views of the south England coastline.

Love Teignmouth for an afternoon stroll. On a warm evening the Back Beach has a laid back vibe all its own.

Truly a gorgeous and stellar beach! It’s a perfect spot for a walk, jog or even a swim! Plenty of dogs about too, who appear quite happy to brave this beautiful beach’s waters. We found it lovely and relaxing as well as romantic. Truly a must see!
