Bridlington South is the wide expanse of sand to the south of Bridlington Spa and Bridlington Harbour, on the East Riding coast. The beach is over a mile long, after which it becomes Fraisthorpe Beach.
Bridlington, a coastal town and civil parish on the Holderness Coast of the North Sea, nicknamed the “Lobster Capital of Europe”, belongs to the unitary authority and ceremonial county of the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Bridlington earned an overall ranking of 173 out of the 1,372 places surveyed, making it top in East Yorkshire, and it also scored the highest in the county in the sector where the average cost of a family home is up to £350,000, being ranked 54th out of the 661 places with homes in that price band

This place is a nice destination to visit.
It is very clean and tidy.
The beach is amazing and very clean and soft sand is amazing
Lots of restaurants and fresh good wholesome food.
The prices vary depending in what shop or restaurant you visit and there is a lot.
Good for a family with kids value for money is there.
Parking was easy.
Many hotels you cam stay in and the average one night stay is £45 per person with breakfast free WiFi.
Disabled friendly with ramps everywhere for good access.
Definitely well worth a visit especially on a nice warm dayBy john el-jeizawi (7 months ago)I’ve been to a lot of beaches in the UK and still think South Beach is one of the best. And lucky to have this local to us too. Huge at low tide, great expanses of perfect sandcastle making sand, backed by sand dunes. A fabulous council run car park which is also a park and ride for the town (via bus or land train). Great toilet facilities and somewhere to get ice cream or a coffee too.By S Hunt (3 months ago)Was the best beach I have been to yet. The beach is split up into two parts one is dog friendly and the other is more family friendly. There are toilets located along the Promenade that are free! The beach is a lovely, sandy beach and didn’t find it too busy despite the sunny weather which came as a shock. There is a paddling pool area for young children located near the beach huts which i hadn’t seen at a beach before. Plenty of benches are dotted around the Promenade as well as ramps making it accessible to all. Had an amazing time 🙂By B_cca B (4 months ago)Vast expanse of dog friendly beach.Good little cafe at the end of the promenade with a few tables.
The land train runs from here to the Spa.
But a nice stroll along the promenade past the chalets and children’s paddling pool.

Beautiful little gem, has everything really…kids loved it! Sand, clear water, rocks to climb, rock pools and caves!! What more do u need? Pub? Cafe? Ice cream van? Toilets yep there’s those there too! Downside – steep walk down to the beach but when it’s that beautiful who cares!By Emma Kate Marriott (6 months ago)A fantastic way to spend a morning. A great beach with lots of rock pools and caves for the children (and adults!) to explore. We enjoyed clambering over the rocks. Be careful, the can be extremely slippery. Also be warned that the tide can come back in faster than you expect. A nice cafe near the carpark and a bar too. Although we didn’t go to the bar so I can’t comment.By Michael Hall (a month ago)Great place north landing at Flamborough. Large car park overlooking the sea. Very quiet early morning dog walking and a nice sight to watch the fishing boats launch. It is a steep walk to the beach and when open in the boat shed halfway down you can get food and drinks. A cafe and bar are also near the car park as is a toilet block.By Dave Simon (7 months ago)A lovely find recommended to us by a local. Offers a sheltered beach which is perfect for swimming, exploring caves, and walks with spectacular views out to sea….go on and try for yourself when in this corner of Yorkshire.By Victor Ochieng’ (3 months ago)Nice place to go and have a look at once again you have to entertain the parking fee but nice to explore and climb the rocks and look at the coves. Has a nice cafe up the top near car park to stop for a drink.By Ben Tyndale (a month ago)

Lovely walk with stunning views, even watched the seals come in to sunbathe on the beach.
Excellent place for long walks for persistent people 🙂 , not crowded
Managed to see Puffins about 10 foot away. It even posed for us. My wife saw the Albatros – and of course more ganets than at a free food event! Well worth the RSPB membership
Absolutely beautiful place and the beach is stunning to even though it was busy there you could still find a place to sit and enjoy the sun.
Great stay at Havens site Thornwick Bay for 3 days at Flamborough visited Bridlington, Boggle Hole, Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby . We had lovely weather
