On the east coast this one of more famous beach areas, although it wasn’t bad, but to be honest I’ve had much better experiences on beaches and stuff in the past. It’s not a very clean place it just felt kind of dirty and grimy all the way around. We stayed at a Airbnb and there were flies everywhere it was impossible to sleep. The nice thing however was that the restaurants are pretty good and the sunrise was beautiful. There’s a Casino which is worth trying your luck. The boardwalk have vehicle service which charges $4 per person one side. The beach is very close by where you can enjoy the breeze and low tides. We reached around sunset and the reflection of the buildings were really giving a scenic view. usually crowded, people can be seeing enjoying themselves by playing, dancing, reading books. Lifeguards are available till 4:30. Restrooms are available till 9pm and they are very neat and clean. You can easily find roadside parking for $4. there are parking lots nearby which offer 8 hours for $7, better choice if you gonna spend more time on the beach.
Atlantic city is losing it’s charm so just go there for beach.

She reminisces about her family vacays to Atlantic City so I chose that as our destination. First time there for me. We weren’t disappointed!!! We had a great time walking and riding the tram along the boardwalk Saturday and Sunday. Perfect fall weather. Ocean was beautiful. Spend the money for an all day tram rides for $10 per adult.By MiniJellal (MKS) (3 months ago)I was visiting from Maryland and was disappointed in this boardwalk I’ve been to way much better beach area. This boardwalk draws so much Hispanics and African Americans and super crowded. There is a nice amusement park and lots of shops and restaurants. They had a few concerts with local artist. The boardwalk past the amusement park and in front of Ocean hotel was better and more calmer. Before this point everything smelled heavy of marijuana-not good for people trying to enjoy themselves. Worth the trip! Located in Hamilton, NJ with plenty of parking and beautiful grounds to explore. Of course the main attraction is the various sculptures of various sizes. The grounds are mostly flat and easy to navigate. Several restaurants on site but two were completely closed when we visited and the other was closed for a wedding. A small cafe with ice cream, water, and limited snacks was open but they ran out of most choices by 4pm. The large sculptures are sturdy and mostly touchable so supervised children can enjoy the art without being constantly told not to touch. There are a few air-conditioned galleries with restrooms so if you visit on a hot day, find them for a break from the sun.By KGQ NYC (8 months ago)What a lovely and interesting place to visit! The grounds are beautiful and sculptures of various kinds adorn the landscape. Some are tucked away and appear as a scene from a story. Others are large and bold, making statements. The human figures were so realistic. On occasion, my husband and I had to do a double take. It was unanimous that we would return and spend a little more time on the premises since there were quiet places in which we could sit and take in the scenery. There were various other buildings on the grounds containing art and instruction. Informational videos and various works of art were also present in the entrance hall. We came on a weekday and it was not crowded. The entrance fee was reasonable. A gift shop, small café, and restrooms were available, as well as ample parking. We were able to order them online while we had lunch at Rat’s Restaurant. There was a wedding reception at Rat’s which was beautifully decorated. Honestly we thought it would be a nice walk after eating but couldn’t believe how huge the grounds actually were. We didn’t have nearly enough time to spend exploring it. Once inside the premise of the area, it felt like I was in a different world. The sculptures ranged from abstract to portraits to a room that was functional but everything was painted. The exhibits and pathways are all very nice, and the views of the lake and the sculptures all Sum for a great experience. There’s even a place where you can try using sculpting techniques to make your own sculptures, and once done you can have lunch which is surrounded by beautiful scenery, a waterfall and a pond.By Dheer Guda (4 weeks ago)What a great place for a beautiful day. Very welcoming with multiple types of scenery and both indoor and outdoor exhibitions. From the lake side Sculptures and walk way yo the gardens filled with trees, flowers and hidden gems. I like these kinds of places that overlook inlets by the ocean, and the Barnegat Light end has always been a nice place to stop. This 2022 season the famous lighthouse will be covered in a maintenance wrapper and can’t be climbed, but otherwise the park will be open. It’s also a good area to drop a line in the water and test your luck/skill. My recent visit was right before the seasonal summer schedule starts. So there weren’t many other people around.By Eric W. Right now the Lighthouse is undergoing renovations so just be aware if you are going to photograph it. Also, nesting shorebirds area is NOT a place to walk your dogs! The climb up the lighthouse steps is a bit challenging, but I was able to do it at 70 years of age. Worth the effort! The park also has a visitor center, trails through the maritime Forest and dunes, fishing from the jetty rocks, or just enjoying sightseeing and the smell of the sea, along side of the awesome Barnegat inlet!By Joe Guastella (2 months ago)Always a beautiful place to go kids love going. Such an amazing place to visit we didn’t get to finish the whole ship. But plan to go back for a guided tour. Did a self tour which is amazing among itself. Such great history and memories. You can see it in the eyes of all the older gentlemen who are their to answer questions and speak about the ship. We even got the amazing opportunity to watch them fire the 5 inch guns which was such a great experience and they are so concerned for the younger generation not being to close with it being loud but was amazingBy Jason (4 months ago)Always wanted to go. Finally went! My friend and I took the main tour route. We saw a lot, but there is much more to see. I highly recommend a curators tour. It is pricey, but I figure it’ll be well worth the experience. Many different routes allow you to see a lot and separate people. This means that it is never really overcrowded. One can easily spend 4 hours on the ship and so much is open to the public. The staff was very helpful and friendly! There was no crowd at all (taking the tour) besides us 2, so we basically had the ship to ourselves. We spent about 2-1/2 hours exploring it at an up-tempo pace, but easily could have spent another hour exploring – if we had allowed ourselves more time between destinations. Great fun for Picnics as well as just hanging out and bicycling. Fabulous views in daylight as well as nighttime. Does get crowded but it’s a huge park and u would find a good spot for yourself for sure!.. free parking is very limited and there are parking lots with paid parking.
Beautiful memorial walls with view of the new building in distance. Great place to ride bikes with many paths along the water and also paths through the park. Summertime is more beautiful with awesome landscaping and greenery. Pack a lunch and stay for hours. Easy & free parking!
This place has a great importance which offers a beautiful view of the New York skyline. Standing here gives a great peace of mind where you experience, buildings, sea, ships and many other beautiful things. This park is huge and feels Never ending while you keep on walking around. You may also see the Statue of Liberty from the other side of the park. If you like to see the real and whole view of the skyline, then you are at the right place.
Great little park just outside the city.
If you are into picnics this is a great place.
Has great views.
And some wildlife. (“wildlife” – very human friendly)
It’s recommended not to feed birds as they keep the insect population low.

This was an excellent FREE short excursion between college baseball games. Walked the beautiful promenade along the waterfront with world-class views of the Statute of Liberty, Ellis Island, and Manhattan skyline. Very well kept park with what looks like plenty of great trails and open areas to do just about anything (Adult flag football game going on even). Bring a camera as the views are amazing. It was windy and cold that AM but it was also that time of year.
