Its is located right on Virginia St just south of the El Dorado. Its an easy visit. Sorry about not taking pictures I had scurried by while walking home.

A nice little park. Good for family. Adults can walk on a trail by the water. Children can ride swings etc. Also, there is a lake opposite the children’s park where there are hundreds of ducks and pigeons to watch and feed.

I love the multiple playgrounds and all the amenities for community gatherings. Sooo many cute little squirrels. It was such a beautiful day & there were plenty of families enjoying the park as well as the river. There are walking paths, a bike path along the river, large open lawn areas, plenty of parking, ponds, wildlife, a skatepark, a rose garden, and baseball fields and more. I love love love this museum!! Has many of the iconic cars… star cars and cars of all centuries. I am a fan. Staff is amazing! The displays take you through automotive history decades at a time. And they have a large selection of rare and odd cars. They also have some famous cars that have been in movies including the Batmobile. If you’re coming to Reno this is a great way to spend two hours. There are over a hundred cars in the museum with different galleries that change for the era of cars in each gallery. There are also some historic famous cars that were either celebrity cars, in movies, or just one of a kind cars. They also have different exhibits and change out a few cars about every three months or so. Celeb cars, old cars, race cars, you name it! Great historical explanations too and interactive stuff for kids. They even have a curatorial theme of women in cars. Maybe my expectations were too high, but It wasn’t my favorite car museum. There are to many early 1900s cars especially from foreign companies. Not many cars past 1950. My boys are 9, 12, 14 and they loved it! They had a fun science experience all the kids we enthralled and engaged having so much! It was super busy because of fall break. There new exhibit is amazing you get to see them feed a turtle at 1pm and a sloth at 4pm! Not sure if its the same everyday! I’ve been taking my kids here since they opened and every time there is something fun and exciting going on! I absolutely love the mind bender mansion! Its so fun trying to figure out the puzzles! The museum itself was great! Many options for different age groups. The water features were my sons favorite! We have the year membership which is extremely affordable and worth it. We have also done a birthday party here and it was a great time. They have a nice party room with pretty much a kitchen inside and offer party convenient kits for the plates and cups and other stuff to help you out. I really can’t say enough and the exhibits are changing all the time. There are also fun projects in the work shop. Yesterday they were doing a lunar egg drop experiment and we also made and launched a rocketBy Carissa Byram (8 months ago)We just got home from the Museum and we truly enjoyed the “Survival of the slowest”. I brought my 2 grandbabies ages 15 months and 27 months along with my 14 y/o granddaughter. We enjoyed seeing the live animals and not only getting to watch the large tortoises get fed but was given food to toss in and feed them. This is a great place to bring the kids, the water feature is always a hit!I would like to suggest that since toddlers do go in everyroom that you invest in plug covers for all of your outlets and either tape the cords down or get them covered up and away from the youngins. It is not safe. Also there wasn’t anyone monitoring the art room and the painting window could have used cleaning. Find something that toddlers can draw with better and is safe for them.

A couple of broken exhibits, but with so many kids (and adults!) trying stuff out, it’s bound to happen from time to time. Well worth the time to visit here! Came here for the N and the Basque Monument. Let me save you a Google search: the N is for the University of Nevada-Reno, which is nearby. We thought we could get a pretty good picture of the N with the city below – but the pitch of the hill doesn’t really let you do that unless you go much further up. My rec: stay below the N because you’ll enjoy it more. The Basque Monument is cool – Reno was home to many Basque shepherds and it’s a fitting monument for their achievements.
Rancho San Rafael Regional Park is a great park to visit in Reno. There are a few loop trails in the park which are about a mile or so long, I hiked/walked the Arboretum Loop which goes through different landscaped groves with unique landscapes and has a creek, a pond, and views of the entire park from a hill top. I highly recommend visiting the park, it is perfect for family’s with kids, or just individuals looking to go for a a nice walk or hike.
This park is amazing. Huge area for dogs to run and play off leash. Several miles of walking paths and views in every direction. Love it!
Beautiful property for walks, picnicking, events. The Dragon Lights Festival was delightful family fun tho much smaller & shorter this year, it was easier for families with small children to get thru it before little ones got too tired.
Went for the balloon race. A fantastic event, but as a park for strolling and exploring, there isn’t a lot to see. We did not go in the arboretum or visitor center, so many that’s more interesting? Nice little playground for kids. Lots of goose poo around.
