My family had an awesome time! I haven’t been here since a field trip WAY back when in elementary, now I decided to take my almost 2 year old – he loved it! The entry price seemed very reasonable. It was cloudy and rainy when we went so the animals were more active, there were very few people, and it was much cooler which was great. Everything seemed clean, everyone was friendly, and we just had a good time. The splash pad was also wonderful for that mid-day break. My one complaint may be the food just wasn’t very good, I mean, it’s exactly as expected and tastes like theme park food, which is to say not great.By travis higley (3 months ago)Still a good zoo for being on the smaller side. Tons of unique animals and for the most part, visible during our visit. It was extremely hot, 100 degrees, so many opted for the shade and just lying around. A nice touch for visitors was the many mist fans spread around the zoo. Few comments: $3 dollars per person for the train is more than it is worth. When it gets renovated, this may be a fair price, until then, charge a $1 or make it free. Outside the first 200 meters on the train, there is nothing to see. The reptile, small animal exhibit was under construction i think. It never explicitly said. For my military people, no discount, however, you can save $2 dollars per person if booked online. Only know this because the lady next to me purchasing tickets was told this by the ticketing employee. There were tons of baby animals which are always cute and fun to watch. We fed the elephant, which is an additional cost, but worth it for the once in a lifetime opportunity. The train wasn’t working when we went which was disappointing. The enclosures were decent sized. I liked how they had the giraffes and zebras sharing an enclosure. I definitely recommend trying the pretzel if you go. It was so good. The hamburgers were dry and overpriced.By Jennifer Hart (3 months ago)I really like this zoo, I’ve always had a good time here. They’ve done a good job of expanding their enclosures to give the animals more space and a more natural environment, while also increasing visibility. I really enjoy the African Safari and their Rocky Shores areas. We had a good time and the kids loved it. You’re able to get pretty close to animals with the way they set up thier exhibits. Zoo is on the smaller side but their layout is great, you dont have to walk a long ways between exhibits but nothing feels crammed together either.
Right at the entrance they had a sign displaying times and locations of events for the day. Plenty of misting spots to help keep cool on hot days – was about 90F when I went. Great park for everyone. It’s pretty large and has a bunch of options. Tons of people come here to skateboard. The pond is great with tons of ducks. The aviary is at the park too and they have DOLE WHIP. You don’t have to get into the aviary to buy it either.

The Tracy Aviary is located on the west side. Along with the pool & tennis courts. The volleyball courts are on the west side of the park. Sometimes they’re crowded, other times, empty. There does tend to be some police driving around, especially towards the close. A safe park overall with lots of places to take photographs. The middle of the park used to have rides. On Sunday afternoons there are some pretty intense drum circles. Overall, a nice destination in Salt Lake that the whole family can enjoy.By Bling Viera (4 months ago)I was genuinely impressed with how clean the city keeps this park! Sure, there are more than plenty homeless people wandering about; but I’ve never had an issue with them, and I honestly can’t blame anyone for using the park as a place to enjoy a nice afternoon.There are plenty of park benches, public trash cans to keep garbage off the ground, and pathways to enjoy. It’s a great little spot in the middle of the city.

Walking, jogging, cycling, roller skating, riding your scooter ? , meeting some new people. Swimming, taking a nap even in a hammock which actually looked kinda nice. Great places for shade and sun. They have some classes down here at liberty park for the public to join. And also a great spot for kids to hang out and pace and the liberty park playground. THE LIST GOES ON. A great spot for dogs to come and play and run around or just hang out with there owners. A great spot to come and have a picnic on the grass or down by the pond whole you get greeted by ducks , geese and seagulls , which we also have a good time giving snacks to and they definitely enjoyed our pretzels and sandwich bread. The pond down there has a nice walk over bridge and theres alot of birds down there all kinds to see. Again a great place to spend time. Cool running trail, biking trail, etc.This place has a massive playground, basketball court, horse shoe ring even an aviary. So many cool things here. I recommend coming here! When the weather gets good this place does get really crowded. It might be hard to park.

As an internationally recognized symbol for a specific religion, this is an iconic building to see in SLC. It’s noticeable in the skyline of the city and is very well known amongst Latter-day Saints.
They light Temple Square up to the gills with Christmas lights every year, and it’s always fun to walk around. The building itself is pretty spectacular – it took a very long time to build in many years ago. If you are a believing Latter-day Saint, this building and visiting it will mean much more to you than the casual observer recognizing different faith traditions. However, it is an architectural structure and can still be recognized for it’s beauty. This is simply my rating as a work of architecture. It is a symbol for a Christian religion that has major influence in Salt Lake City. As a tourist coming to visit, it’s a building that will likely be on your bucket list in SLC.

The front view of the temple was available by going in by the Joseph ith Memorial Building.
The weather was beautiful and it was fun to be there when very few others were there.

The dinosaur exhibit is wonderful. I love the gemstone exhibit too. I also enjoy the geology exhibit that traces the history of Utah through millions of years of massive change.
The museum regularly hosts visiting exhibits from all over the world. I recommend going during these times.
There are also interactive activities for children in the mornings and at scheduled times.
In other words, to get the most out this museum, you should look at their event schedule and plan ahead.

The walking amount can be a bit of a struggle for those with lesser endurance, but even then, slopes are gradual, elevators are available, and the entirety of the exhibits, save for a couple optional locations, appeared to be easy enough to navigate and handicap-friendly. The stories and presentations were excellently captured, and they made it very easy to discern between interactive and non-interactive attractions and displays. Fun for any age, with lots of visual, auditory, and tactile interactions throughout. Set aside a good 2-3 hours if you want to see everything and experience things wholly. We spent 2 and a half hours here and ended up having to be rushed out at closing time half-way through the Colors exhibit.Absolutely worth the time, the travel, and the visit.
By kyle morton (8 months ago)Had a great time here with my two small kids. Lots of steps but there was an elevator for the stroller that was quick and convenient. The dinosaur exhibit was a little hard to find and my husband ended up having to go back through with our 5yr old to find it before we left. Some of the hands on features didn’t work but most did and they were fun for everyone. The staff were helpful and our toddler was free. The gift shop is pricey but had some great stuff that the kids are still enjoying weeks later.By Lauren (7 months ago)This museum is actually smaller than I thought but absolutely worth it. I like going to different museums while I travel for work because no matter how many of the same things you see there is always some amazing one off things each museum has to offer. This museum doesn’t let down on this idea.They have a really fantastic Native American masterpiece that is small but really packed with information, antiques, and pictures. This museum has a tiny section for stuffed animals when compared to San Diego or DC, but the few they have are really well presented and done well. The dinosaur section is jam packed with different animals and dinosaurs that it is overwhelming. I had to slow down in this section to really see all the amazing items they have here.
Here are a couple things they I found really amazing and have not seen this at other natural history museums. 1) the collection of eggs and turtle shells and they way they are presented. 2) the collection of triceratops’s heads from different types and how they are hung on the wall – breathe taking.. 3) the roof top access has a really great view of the valley.
This place is really great for kids. There are a lot of displays and items for kids to look at, to do, or learn about. One thing that was strange to me was how small their museum shop was and they did not have magnets or stickers about the museum. I collect some of this type of stuff and couldn’t find anything in the shop to pick up. ☹️

Comprehensive exhibit on local first nation tribes is a must see, and floors on flora and fauna, rock formation and the dinosaur era are well curated and enough to interest both the young and old. Well worth a visit.Loved the dioramas.
The cafe was being remodeled during our visit so pack snacks for the kids!

Wonderful experience with my older children (8+) while going to see Music and the Spoken Word on Easter! We were there for the first performance since the start of the pandemic and they were truly marvelous! I would highly recommend attending on a Sunday morning and taking it all in!
What a beautiful and solemn experience. We were in Salt Lake City for one day and, at the end of the day, we heard that the Choir was practicing. So we raced to hear them. Beautiful and inspiring.
07/08/2022 EDIT: Please be aware that the main temple is currently being renovated/reinforced. So, it is covered with scaffolding and the towers are gone.
Beautiful place. Unfortunately the temple is on renovation right now but you can see the beauty of it. The conference center is impressive and big. The tabernacle is also nice.
Nice, beautiful architecture. Beautiful grounds. I came late about 7 pm. So my pictures maybe a bit dark. I need to go earlier. I hear there is a band playing at noon everyday. Very disappointed no one came to covert me!! Kidding. There was a nice couple that meet me to say hello. Very welcoming.
The temple is still under construction and it’s entirely covers with scaffolding. Hard to see any details. There are some historic buildings open for self guided tours. There are many volunteers who will answer questions. Worth the time.
