I LOVED this place. As a native Texan, raised on the only soda there is, this museum was Awesome! There are three floors of Dr Pepper memorabilia. There is also a soda fountain and interactive workshops. The Make-a-Soda was very fun(do recommend buying advanced tickets for this and the Taste-a-Soda) The gift shop was great. You can take home everything from shirts, hats, and magnets to the original Dr Pepper itself. The place is right next to the Silos in Waco making it very convenient for multiple experiences in one day.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The only negatives were the tables in the malt shop were not cleaned regularly and the gift shop is over priced.
However, if you are a fan of Dr Pepper, you will love the experience.

One of our favorite displays was the actual well (you’ll see)! You’ll see videos, holograms, ads, bottles, equipment and so much more from over the years! Awesome educational or leisurely stop for all ages. They are a non-profit organization. They also have interactive add-on options as well. Fun gift shop and ice cream shop! There is alot of reading an history that was interesting. It wasn’t busy so it was nice to be able to browse an read without feeling like you had to keep moving. We really enjoyed this zoo. It was laid out very well. You can tell the animals are cared for here. Their environments were clean and the animals looked healthy. They had lots of items in their habitat that kept them busy. We went in the morning when it was cooler and that was fun since they were feeding the animals. We wish there were more animals. It seemed like they may have been doing renovations since a lot seemed empty or closed. We loved all of the shaded areas and how beautiful the layout is. But just right! This zoo is nicely sized to complete in a few hours. The path winding throughout offers varying views of the animal and enclosure without blocking the animal. If that makes sense…. Diffently Recommended walking shoes. Don’t underestimate the distance or size of this zoo. Unfortunately was not able to feed giraffes due to covid. But still had a great time. I recommend bringing sandwiches and drinks. Food can be pricey. I like that there is a aquarium as well with cool fish. The gift shop has unique and nice stuff for memories. There is a lot of hills up and down. My mother was in a wheelchair so it made it harder to push just keep that in mind if you have a disabled member of your group. I travelled 2 hours to visit, and was not disappointed! The grounds are beautiful & naturally lush, makes for a beautiful walk. And there is a broad variety of animals to observe, I especially loved the reptile & aquarium buildings. My family and I go hiking here all the time. It’s beautiful, fun and safe. They have playgrounds, picnic areas, beautiful trails, a river and even a splash pad plus lots more. It’s my favorite place in all of Waco and it’s free. The bathrooms are always pretty clean as well. It’s dog friendly but they need to be on a leash. The park is well kept and the amount of trails is flabbergasting. The park trails are well identified ranging from beginner to expert. My favorite trail so far is the river trail. It’s a nice little Park for the kids to play in the whole family to enjoy. You can have a picnic or barbecue, in the summertime they have the splash pad. You can also go fishing. Sidewalks is statues of the animals for the Cameron Park zoo there’s also Jacob’s ladder that you can climb at the top of that is a little playground for the kids and some trails. It was unfortunate circumstances that brought me to this area of Waco (final services at a nearby funeral home), but my wife found this on the map along our way. Our two boys are young enough that this was an amazing break on our trip. Actually, I thought it was just as awesome!
The staff was among the most professional and friendly of any park I’ve ever visited. The trail to the site is short and a beautiful walk beneath the trees.
Pretty need find a little out of the way, but worth the visit.

The gift shop items were reasonably priced and there is an activity tent for the kids and a sand box where kids can dig for their own fossils. I recommend bringing them in sandals and an extra set of clothes for afterwards. They also have a hiking trail you can do. Plenty of parking and golf carts to shuttle you if needed from the overflow parking lot. Pricing is very reasonable for the tour and the items for sale. Lots of info given and interactive things for the kids to do from clotting to digging to helping out with shifting through actual dig sure material to help them find micro fossils. If you are a ancient animal lover, this is a good place to stop by. The tour is must join activity, it’s going every hour and you can check before heading. Definitely worth visiting if you’re a fan of Chip and Joanna Gaines (like me)! The park-like atmosphere was peaceful and people were very friendly. My mom said it was “like a breathe of fresh air”. The bakery had very affordable prices, but be prepared for long lines at the food trucks if you go during lunch time. The best drink deal is the 24oz of Alabama Sweet Tea, that you can keep the mason jar it comes in. The home items were understandably higher priced but that didn’t stop us from having a great time and experience here. 🙂
Great experience for the whole family. Kids trollers can easily access to most areas. There are plenty of snacks places for reasonable price however the bakery tends to get crowded specifically during weekends. Overall I recommend this place.
I’ve lived in the Greater Waco area for nearly 20 years now and I’ve watched this place explode into what it has become today. Not going to lie, I never fully understood the appeal and draw, but after finally stepping foot on their turf, I completely get it. If you haven’t checked this place out, it’s a must. Also, the wiffle ball field was genius. Props to having something for the boys to do while mom’s out shopping.
I wouldn’t know what Chip and Joanna looked like if I walked into them. We went to Magnolia for my wife. I do love the concept. Great store, very pleasant and charming. Little pricey in my opinion but you assume that walking in. I love the entire grounds from the cornhole to baseball field. There are food trucks right outside. There is even a picture booth tucked on the side of the building. $5 for the photos and if you add your email, they email them to you along with the prints. Nice way to spend an hour or two. Lots of great photo ops.
The best part of this place was the food trucks. Lots of great food and the people in every shop were super nice. I am not a shopper, but I was spending time in TX with a friend so we made a day trip out of it. It was nice to walk around and check out the stores.
