First time going there and from a historical point of view is just great, see attached pictures. The kids love the experience, but beware when purchasing tickets. Make sure you know what you’re buying with the tickets because it will feel like you’ve got ripped off if you don’t get properly informed. The best place to get informed is where tickets are purchased. If I would go back again I’d choose to make and taste my own ice cream. Keep kids entertained and explain by reading and if so your time will pass by flying and kids will learn something.By Juan Miguez (7 months ago)We had a fantastic time at Turkey Hill Experience. We also did the tasting room where we created our own ice cream. There was a very interesting and instructional video and presentation about how the ice cream is made. There was a quiz, so make sure you pay attention! It was very nostalgic for someone that grew up in Pennsylvania and I didn’t realize how much Turkey Hill products I consumed growing up without realizing how much the packaging changed over the years. I would recommend this place to have a good time for a few hours. One thing I would provide feedback on was to offer the creation you make upstairs in the virtual center to the consumer. I know that wouldn’t be practical but would be a cool experience to have your ice cream you made shipped to your home. It is not just for young children. People of all ages were there. Lots to do and to have fun! The “make-your-own ice cream flavor class” was great!!! The “Turkey Hill Experience” was very interesting – a lot about the history of Turkey Hill and the Lancaster area. There were lots of activities throughout the experience. We gave ourselves 45 minutes before our taste lab time and we did not see everything. My kids, ages 6 and 8, loved it! The taste lab was a hit for kids and adults. We each received a huge cup of vanilla ice cream and got to add flavoring, toppings, and syrups. I found a great sandwich here and 2 donuts.
The place is a little packed on a Saturday but you can always stay outside. There are tons of bench and tables.
Walking around you will run into cheese shop, butcher and fresh veggie. Everyone is friendly and filled with life.
Great place to get a quick bite.

We had to stand to enjoy our absolutely amazing food from Soulcialize Catering – So sorry I ate it too fast to take pictures, fried Whiting, Gumbo over rice, Collard greens and Macaroni & Cheese all to die for!!! Then we bought up a bunch of Salsa & Guacamole at the Guacamole Specialists, then stopped at Christina’s Criollo and got a platter to go of the absolutely BEST Latin inspired baked chicken with Yucca, rice and beans and plantains…I can’t wait to visit again to try some of the other amazing foods!By Makai Chris (10 months ago)This is definitely a fun experience to just browse all the shops and see what they offer. There were many things to see. Lots of produce stands, bakeries, ready made food, flowers, meats. And so much more. It can definitely get crowded on weekends and parking (paid) can be a challenge to find.The shops were very organized and the place was clean too. I did find that some produce were on the expensive side ie bananas with Dole stickers selling for 79 cents/lb vs the supermarket where you can buy the exact same bananas for 49 cents a pound or less. Be a smart shopper if price sensitive. Otherwise knock yourself out and support local.
Overall, I had a good time just strolling around and eating my way through this central market.

The village itself is nothing special and does not warrant a drive from far away. The bus tour on the other hand is definitely worth it. So if you go to the village I definitely recommend the bus tour as you get to learn and see for your self. Our tour guide was great and made the trip very interesting. 1 hour 30 minute bus ride is what you should go for the village can be done in less than 30 minutes.By Anthony O’Connell-Gros (4 months ago)Wonderful place to visit and learn! But please remember when visiting the Amish, DO NOT TAKE THEIR PICTURES!! I encourage all ages to visit! If you find yourself in that same predicament, I would recommend the $12 house tour which we thought was a reasonable price for the experience we had.
I do want to give a huge amount of kudos to the young woman who led the house tour. She was amazing! I know she must give that same tour hundreds of times a month, but her knowledge of the Amish people and their customs is impressive and she delivers the oral history in a fluid, easy-to-digest manner. Just a sensational tour guide who made the entire experience that much better.
After the tour you are let out in a mock village to walk around on your own. While that may sound kind of lame, it was actually quite enjoyable given the fact you walk through multiple areas where you can pet and feed many live animals including horses, goats, donkeys and chickens. If you have kids with you, this will perhaps be the highlight of their visit. So, for the $12 price tag, the tour and walkabout was definitely worth it.

We did the tour bus this time and I highly recommend! So much good info. They even take you to a couple Amish businesses if there is time. We stopped at an Amish farm stand and then an Amish dairy farm and got homemade ice cream. Our driver was Paul and he is HILARIOUS!! I went there in 2018. It was interesting to see their simple day to day schedule, their village, learn about their history and try their farm fruits and homemade baked goods. I’ve wanted to learn more and be able to see the Amish culture and this fine establishment provides a great tour of the Amish farms and an opportunity to purchase delicious food and other products made by the hardworking Amish people. If you go, try the meant tea and the soft pretzels, mouthwatering! The guides are very knowledgeable and personable. I loved touring the house and learning more about the culture and tradition. One thing to keep in mind, to be respectful to the people and to their traditions and ask the guides what’s acceptable. WAY better than last year!!!
The staff is so much better than in 2021’s. The food improved as well! It’s a perfect place for little ones, preferably 2-13. But they do have a couple of rides for the teenagers / adults.

Really fun place for most ages. Great mix of larger and smaller rides. Food is ok, not the best but not the worst. It would be nice if there were misting towers around to help keep people cooler during the heat. But overall great place for fun
Amazing place. Kids enjoyed the rides. Wish some more rides were open but understandable due to current situation. Special shout out to staff Meredith who was operating the Twister ride! Super friendly!
such an awesome amusement park that is focused on family fun. We love that it is age appropriate for our little ones and no one is left out !!! The food/drinks are a bit pricey but with the park tickets costing so little – we didn’t mind! We will continue to visit every year like we have since I was a child!!!
Great clean family fun. Perfect for small ones. The park is just the right size and has plenty for small kids to do. Our daughter is 5 and was fully entertained the whole day! No roaming packs of rowdy teens here. Just families with children, I don’t think I heard one cuss word all day, unless me or my husband said one ?. So it’s a great atmosphere for wholesome fun.
