Really good food. Great atmosphere. There is a live show right next to the restaurant, so it’s really nice to sit on the patio. Service was good too. My friend asked for a rare tuna steak and she got it well done. Our server immediately proposed to bring her a new one and it was perfect.By Karen (4 months ago)**Deceiving Restaurant**
The outside of this place had me questioning my choice to eat here. It looked almost like a small garage to me. But when we walked in it was like a whole new world. It was bright, huge and the environment was so laid back. I ordered the ” just seafood” and they meant that $h!t. I was disappointed in the portion size. But it was really really good! All that dish needs is some Alfredo noodles and it would be perfect. I also ordered a seafood boil which was fresh and delicious. My husband had the wings and they were tender and crispy just sooo good. I think they grill them it has a grill flavor. We got some to go. He also got a burger which he said was juicy and cooked well. We also got the surf and turf tacos and was fighting over them. My daughter got the mac and cheese and raved about it. The drinks were good and STRONG. This is definitely a place we will continue visiting when in the area.By Ali Smith (6 months ago)Visited this restaurant for an early weekday dinner. It wasn’t very busy but you could tell there were plenty of locals who hangout there. The restaurant was clean but even though it wasn’t busy there was a line for the ladies room. The restroom was clean and well stocked. The restaurant has a nice vibe and great decor. There is plenty of inside and outside seating options. My guest and I opted for salads which can be hit or miss at restaurants. My salad was fresh but would have been better served on a chilled plate. While our server was nice and polite, I did feel service was a touch slow for things like refills etc. Otherwise it’s a great little place and I would definitely return!By Jessa 4Peace (a month ago)Nice location on the Boardwalk. Live music the night we were there. Nice crowd but no wait. We sat on the outside enclosed patio & it was great. They also have outdoor seating & indoor seating. Service was good & food was good. Next time in Virginia Beach, we will be back again.By Christopher (4 months ago)Beginning to end we had great service and delicious food. From the Hummus Platter to the Shrimp Steamer Bag and Cobb Salad, Chix delivered! The location cannot be beat, it even appeared the wind died down while we dined so, sand would not be a part of our meal. Our waitress was very attentive and courteous. I saw several plates pass by that I want to try on my next visit.By JB Davis (7 months ago)

We went during Happy hour. The wait was going to be 45 minute. So we went to the bar. It was busy. Took a minute for someone to give us the menu, but like I said they were busy. So we totally understand.
My husband got the chicken nachos, I order the poke nachos and split the fried calamari.
Food was good. Large selection of beer. My poke nachos was delicious, wish the portions was like my husband chicken nachos. 3 star is not bad for happy hours. The most they would had got was 4 stars since we didn’t used the restroom. Would love to go and have dinner there to write another review.By Ced6Linda (5 months ago)If you ever in Va Beach you have to go to this place. The food is delicious and plentiful. Also the service was very nice. We didn’t have to wait hours for our food and we enjoyed every bite of it. They have picture perfect and delicious food that you want regret getting. I will be going again to try other spectacular dishes and drinks again. Thank for you wonderful service and food.By MT lady Anderson (7 months ago)Came here last week for the first time and the entrees weren’t the best but they also weren’t the worst. The best part of the meal was the appetizers especially the nachos which were some of the best nachos I’ve ever had and you get a heaping plate full which is great. Other than the entrees being 50/50 the service was pretty good, the server named Thomas and as very nice and helpful. I Would definitely come back in the future to give them another chance and to possibly update my rating as well.By Nicole Flood (3 months ago)Had a great experience every time I’ve been there. Recently went there on Sunday evening (after 10pm when most places are closed). Was seated quickly. Our server Francisco was very professional and great at what he does! Very nice atmosphere, but music is a bit too loud. Drinks and food tasted great and came quickly! Bathroom was clean too.
The best experience I could’ve had late Sunday:)By Yeska Beastmode (3 months ago)The experience was nice. We sat at the bar and enjoyed appetizers, chicken entrees, and beer on tap. The bartender was friendly. They played good music that was diverse. The fries are a must have!!! Our only complaint would be the freshness of the food. The fried calamari was definitely not fresh nor hot. The tenders were hard too.By Ja’Nyla Spencer (7 months ago)

Beautiful waterfront restaurant with an outside cabana area and an outside dining area. Awesome view either way you decide.
The staff was friendly and always smiling. The food was fresh and came out fairly quickly.
The calamari was delicious and just perfectly cooked. It was served with a house marinara which was good but the aioli was to die for. We ate it with everything… our fries and on our burger. It had just the right amount of spice and was smooth and full of flavor.
The lobster roll was fresh and tasted like the sea which is what I love.
The burger was perfectly cooked and the egg was just right so when you bit into it the yolk just felt like velvet.
Great place with a great ambiance.By Gen H (4 months ago)The place is nice they have valet parking which is helpful. We waited for our food for a very long time so long they discounted it to half off. The waiter was very nice, the food was not good. My crab cake sandwich was so sad, but at this point I couldn’t wait any longer and I for sure was not sending it back. The tuna tacos were not good either. If there is anywhere else open with even a 20 minute wait go there first. If there is no where else to go then come here. Oh the nachos were okay.By Mike Sharp (4 months ago)Outstanding seafood restaurant in Virginia Beach. This place is top notch. Great service, geat food, and great atmosphere. Indoor & outdoor seating is available.Shrimp here are large and well prepared. Sides are delicious. Drinks well made.
By Vincent Watson (2 months ago)They have valet parking so bring cash for them. They gave us options for brunch where we wanted to sit, outside when it’s 50-60 degrees is not a good idea on the water, sit in the glass sun area, it was perfect!Ellie was our waitress and she was so sweet and kind! Best server !
Food recommendations: any crabdish, western omlette, shrimp and grits for sure!!!

By Ali Cooper (a month ago)Really nice place right on the marina with fantastic views. We had the Sandbridge Seafood Pasta with the Alfredo sauce and it was the most delightfully creamy decadent pasta that came piping hot! There were delicious large portions of scallops, shrimps, and fish. The Oysters Rockefeller were also spectacular! I wish I got the dozen!By Monica Cha (8 months ago)

We were visiting from out of state, and our son suggested we try this place. It was wonderful! The food was fresh and delicious. The view was amazing! We will definitely be coming back on our next trip to Virginia!By Melissa Zerbe (a month ago)I was really wanting some seafood while in town so we went here for lunch today. Apparently it was ladies day/night so Crushes were $5, I had a strawberry crush and also an orange crush and I also ordered fried oysters which came with french fries and coleslaw. The oysters were good but I think it was too much batter on them. The coleslaw was some of the best I’ve had except for my own homemade. I only ate 4 fries but they were good. I also ordered a half dozen steamed oysters which were delicious! Don’t judge me…I’m on vacation!! LOL. I was born and raised in Va so I have eaten here before but it’s been a while. Good food..good server and a great view!!By Marsha Whitehair (4 months ago)Good food and quick service. This place gets real busy real quick , we were searching for soft shell crab sandwiches and found Bubbas to have it thus came over. We came in a bit after 11 AM for the dine in lunch and we were the third full table but the next 15 minutes saw the restaurant getting full and a waiting queue created. Call to make reservations to avoid wait times.
We loved the water side dock sitting and the amazing food. We ended up ordering catch of the day fried flounder sandwich and grilled mahi mahi steak both came out yummy and in just perfect quantities.
Highly recommend ? this restaurant.By Salman Zaidi (5 months ago)A great location and great good at Bubba’s. Having. Dinner date with the wife and was not disappointed. The service was great and the food very good. Great place for seafood.
Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.
By Michael Simpson Sr. (3 months ago)This was our first time there. Our date night. The waitress was very good. Seating outside with the view of the water as the sun sets was good. The food was filling ?By Charles Baugham (7 months ago)

I would skip this restaurant if you’re in town and looking for some fresh seafood, there are better places for a foodie, this restaurant is definitely set up as a tourist attraction. Our total bill was 93.00 for two people. $33 alone for the fried seafood platter which we shared. We ordered a side Caesar salad, she crab soup and the fried seafood platter. Additionally we both ordered a strawberry margarita. First, let me start by saying do not waste your money on the drinks. They are $11 each for some watered down tequila with simple syrup. All of the drinks came from the bar looked the same color and were absolutely not worth the price tag. The she crab soup was the best item I had here. Caesar salad was good, but nothing special. The fried seafood platter had a crab cake (1) , white fish (1 piece), scallops (2), and shrimp (3) with fries and slaw. The taste was something you could get at a much cheaper restaurant. Skip this restaurant for something cheaper, it’s not worth the price tag.
Found this place in a list of top restaurants in Virginia Beach. Turned out that we are staying in the hotel next door. Lucky us. We went there for lunch. The service was good. They are famous for orange crush drink. It was delicious ? no regrets on giving it a shot. We ordered fried seafood platter, tacos, cheesecake, and key lime pie. Everything was delicious. Outside sitting is perfect.
Great lunch today. We had 6 people, and everyone ordered something different. All were happy with their orders. The appetizers were really well done, and on point. Bacon wrapped scallops, and the crab dip. Really good food. Great team working here. I highly recommend it. Thanks to the Mgmt. and Owner also !
Wonderful place to have our anniversary dinner. Even though it seemed very busy we were seated right away. Very well staffed with friendly, efficient employees working together like a well-oiled machine. Husband enjoyed the original orange crush and I enjoyed the Chalkboard Chardonnay. Crab dip appetizer was so good. Ordered the fried seafood platter to share and couldn’t even finish it all. The hushpuppies were amazing, the batter was light and the shrimp and fish were perfectly cooked. Would highly recommend to anyone who visits Virginia Beach. The salt scrub in the ladies room left my hands feeling so soft! Wish I had snagged the QR code to purchase some!
Enjoyed the atmosphere! Sat at the patio and wasn’t too cold or hot so had an excellent view of the beach and sunseting sky. Kenny was an awesome server and had great recommendations. The weekly salmon special was the best salmon I’ve had along with the lobster mash. Wife enjoyed her pasta with the slight kick it had. Daughter enjoyed the kids menu and enjoyed the beach view. Will come back and recommend to friends and family!
