Adore this park. The kids have a play area. The trails are nice, whether you choose you have short or longer ones or explore the depths of the forest. If you choose to venture inside you’ll get a beautiful view of a stream with a bridge and a different feel of the park. The open areas, flower beds and variety of plants makes this park well worth it.By Smriti Chowbay Ramsevak (4 months ago)Great place to fly a kite! I’ve been going to this park since I was a little girl. It’s beautiful! Lots of space to run around. The trees and gardens are absolutely gorgeous! We’ve had many professional photos taken here. The playground has lots of fun for the kids, zip line and a fire safety theme. Definitely check it out!By Jennifer Kennedy (5 months ago)It was about a hour drive to the Arboretum. The weather was good. It was not very busy. Plenty parkings. The pavilion looked beautiful. The inter connected natural trails behind the Arboretum was sceneric. It is in the city limit, but very tranquil and peaceful. Liked the mouse and mushrooms sculpture.By Patrick Xu (7 months ago)Went here to take some wedding photos and it was a perfect backdrop. Really pretty area with a neat little shelter (which proved useful when it started to rain). Wasn’t too busy the couple times we went on the weekend (once to scope out the park and the other to actually take the wedding photos). So people could space out nicely to relax, have a picnic or walk their dogs. I believe there’s a dog park area in the vicinity too.By Jocelyn Y (a year ago)This is one of the nicest and well taken care of parks we’ve been to in a while, plenty of parking facilities including a library but no washroom, lots of paths and trees to enjoy a walk or take a bike ride. Let’s not forget an absolutely stunning playground with even a free zip line for the kids, wow.
The playground itself has plenty of smaller apparatus for infants, including swings. I have a 1 year old and he’s having a blast quite safely all on his own with the equipment low and safe enough to climb up and down. My three and a half year old is also really enjoying herself everywhere cuz there’s simply so much equipment to play with.
There’s also a tennis court and sports field but those you have to book to use.
Enjoy!!

Tiny, cozy, beautiful gem in South Barrie. There’s a small playground for kids, two or three picnic tables, a sandy beach (or icy depending on the position of the earth), some trees, view of northern Barrie across the lake and that’s it. My favorite spot to escape anytime of the year whenever I feel troubled.By Mister No (a month ago)A lovely beach with an amazing view!! It has a park and washrooms which is great if you’re bringing the kids along. One of our fave spots☺️☀️By Lisa Pinkerton (7 months ago)Nice park… Beautiful views great access for sports therefore lots of sporty types kite boarding very popular there byo gear… Lots of kayakers, dingies, wind surfers … Essentially a surfer park LOL minus the big waves.
Wind can be too strong and deep in some section but they have made an area for little ones on the more sheltered west side.
Perfect for sports or lawn surfing 😜 aka holding down the turf. Great spot to eat a packed lunch even if in your lunch break.
Wouldn’t go there at night tho. Prob a bit sketchy. Perfect during the day and for an hour or two getaway from the everyday of life.
No motor boat launch that is down around a jaunt. Parking $10 per hour which is fairly standard rate around the bay’s various parks.
By Sylvia Fox Bevan (7 months ago)A very nice beach in a hidden corner, the playground is a plus. Our all-time-favorite afternoon activity.By Jianshu Cui (3 months ago)Nice park with a good playground for kids. Beach is nice and has pretty good parking as well. It’s paid unless you have a parking pass from the city.By Ken (a year ago)

This is a perfect time of year to go. Barrie has done a fantastic job of creating and maintaining this park over the years. Making it a safe space for all to enjoy. A seasonal parking pass really helps as well.
Great spot for fun, leisure and relaxation. So many extra curricula and side attractions for the kids. Nice spots also for barbecues and grills. You sure would do well to visit when you have the opportunity to do so. Canada Day was fun here
We enjoy the waterfront boardwalk here, Barrie has grown super rapid with many new developments in terms of living and business growth, just situated approximately 1 hr from Toronto this once desolate city has boomed in popularity and population. There are many surrounding beautiful places to visit with Wasaga only being 50 minutes away, along with Collingwood, Blue Mountain, Townships of Tiny beautiful beaches all in close proximity, less than 1 hr away. Your long weekends would be nothing less than adventurous time away from big city life.
It’s one of my favorite beach. Facilities are convenient. Restaurants are very close nearby.
Very nice park in the middle of downtown barrie, right next to the water and beach. Lots of fun activities for thee little ones.
