  1. This place was enchanting beautiful views of the waterfall the bridge the city the river everything rolled up into one. I went here in the rain and had the most amazing time ever you could possibly have in bad weather. The crowds weren’t too bad and I was able to see the falls from various views and I would recommend this place for quick romantic getaway for two or family fun. There’s not one thing I can think of to make this experience better and even parking was still pretty easy to manage. This is a definite place you should visit 100% while you’re in Quebec and don’t even think about leaving until you do. 😁

  2. An amazing excursion not too far from the heart of the city! I loved that we could see the falls from a number of different vantage points, including from the suspension bridge, the stairs and at the bottom of the falls.

It’s set up really well, especially if you don’t mind a bit of walking and aren’t afraid of the staircase! But there’s also a cable car that takes visitors to the top and bottom of the falls if you don’t want to or cannot navigate so many steps.

There are a number of snack bars on site so it’s easy to get some refreshments and there are plenty of picnic benches and lots of greenspace where visitors can relax and take in the sites.

For the more adventurous visitors there’s a zip line and rock climbing guaranteed to get your adrenaline pumping!

Highly recommended! I would absolutely go back.

  3. Outstanding views! I recommend getting on the trail and crossing the bridge over the falls first, to then go down the steps. There are close to 400 steep steps on the side of the mountain that are way easier to go go down rather than up, then you pay to get back up using their “teleferique” as they call it. Wonderful experience! Expect to spend at least 1.5 hrs here.

  4. Beautiful place to visit with family, friends, children or alone. There are picnic tables, you can enjoy the majestic view of the waterfall, the park, ride the zip line. Take beautiful photos. There are bathrooms with good cleaning service. The gardens keep them pretty.

  5. Beautiful waterfall just a short distance from Quebec City. If you want you can buy a ticket to take a cable car up to top of the falls. Being a giant baby who has watched too many Die Hard movies that was a big hell no from me. For those who want to stay earth bound there’s a nice boardwalk hike to get closer to the falls. You can also traverse a bazillion steps to get better views as well. Great way to spend a couple of hours.

I suppose it’s a 5 star hotel for a reason 😅🙃 it’s a beautiful and unique place. Very walkable location with awesome boardwalk. Summer is very touristic and very busy. Saw fireworks and had a view of the St. Lawrence from our room. Was able to book a couples massage which was awesome. Had so much good food. It was a great stay and felt like a once in a lifetime experience.

Great service, gorgeous location, beautiful building. We visit Quebec City regularly and love to stay here if possible. The scavenger hunt was so much fun for my 7-year old daughter during the Carnival. Well done. Five Star Hotel, the price is accordingly. Off-season prices can be attractive.

Staying here during Christmas is amazing, the hotel is first class from the character of the hotel to the world class staff. From the moment you enter the hotel you will see why it’s the most photographed hotel in the world. The people of Quebec City are friendly and they love their city! This is a top ten Christmas destination from the winter markets to the weather (it’s been snowing on and off for five days) so it’s highly likely to have a white Christmas. Book well in advance and come prepared to walk around the town and enjoy with your family. If you have kids they will love this winter wonderland.

Absolutely stunning hotel. We paid for a deluxe room, and boy did it deliver. (Not the gold).
Many reviews criticize the lack of space, but for a vintage and historical hotel, this was actually very spacious.
The front desk staff, Bell staff, and concierge are all very helpful and friendly, and all spoke both English and French.
The location is very convenient as well, as Old Quebec City is super walkable.

Beautiful place. Just amazing. Me and my wife spent a night in a beautiful River view room and it was just so pretty to look at the lake through the room windows and even through the bathroom’s window. Since it’s a Christmas time so the hotel was decorated with beautiful Christmas trees. Must visit. Staff was so polite and humble and always ready to help.

Absolutely lovely garden and aquarium. Better than we imagined. Most aquariums are just a building you walk through and see fish. This is so much more. It has beautiful gardens, Children’s play areas, bears, fox, etc. Tickets are scheduled for time slots and they will allow you in a few minutes early and you have 4 hours to visit, though I am not sure how they know how long you were there. We spent 3 hours walking around and taking pictures and observing the animals and sights. Most of the food areas were closed & so was one of the exhibits due to the weather and time of the year. Very good place for families.

Honestly surprised on how much we enjoyed our visit here. Only 3 minutes drive from our hotel. Plenty of free parking. Be sure to wear snow pants during the winter season or dress accordingly for cold weather as there are outdoor trails leading you to the seals, walruses, polar bear, artic foxes, owls etc. There were quite a few displays under construction in the indoor displays but that will allow us to see more on our next visit. Awesome place to visit and learn with the family. We’d like to return in the summer and see what they have to offer.

Nice Aquarium! The under the sea exhibit was really beautiful. Once pass the features, there are nice parks for kids to play in. Including a spray park. Only complaint was not food was being served early and the line up for the washrooms was longs.

Conveniently located off the highway with ample parking. We arrived at 3:30 pm and there was only one person in front of us. It was not busy at all.

We bought our tickets online. The only thing we had to do is to show the ticket office our confirmation number.

It took us two hours everything.

$66 +tax per family for a two hour visit isn’t too bad. The kids enjoyed it.

We visited the aquarium on a rainy day and really enjoyed the almost 3 hours we spent inside. The layout of the outdoor park is beautiful and clean and there is also an outdoor play area for young kids. The trails lead to the seals and walrus area which are fun to watch. They also have displays for owls, arctic fox and polar bears. The inside displays are also great but they don’t have as much variety of aquatic life as compared to other aquariums we’ve been to in the past. The touch tanks are great, you can touch and interact with different species of starfish and stingrays which is a wonderful experience specially for young kids. The main tank and the tunnel is small compared to other aquariums which is probably why they don’t have any sharks or larger species of fish in the main display. Overall a very fun place to visit and highly recommended for families.
