I was in the Traurig House in 2006 and it was the best care and rehabilitation center I have ever seen. The nurses really care and are very supportive. I am glad that is where I was sent to after my car accident. It was a great learning experience for brain damaged citizens, thank you all. I miss all of you.

When I got to High Watch in 2006 I was dying on the inside and the outside. Truly the greatest gift I received in this life was going to the “Hill of Hope”. I can’t begin to tell how grateful I am for High Watch Recovery Center for saving my life. The day I arrived after being at a detox center I had no control of my life. A new chapter of my life began. I was taught tools on how to stay sober. My therapist, step coach and psychiatrist were very professional and compassionate. The nursing staff was always available for your needs. The group leaders were the best. Worked through the big book and the twelve steps. The atmosphere was like being on a college campus. The accommodation were first class. We had the best chef preparing our meals. Words alone could not express how much I would recommend High Watch to anyone who is facing problems with alcohol or drugs.

I HIGHLY recommend High Watch. As a psychotherapist who needs a place that will work quickly and professionally with compassion for individuals struggling with addiction issues is critical and a rare find. High Watch supports individuals at first contact and it continues well beyond date of discharge, it’s like you’ve suddenly become part of a family. The facility is beautiful, with a positive and welcoming environment. The amazing staff is professional, experienced and highly competent in handling hurting individuals where THEY are at…it’s wonderful to see clients learn about addiction and regain control over their lives substance-free. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

High Watch Recovery Center is as top notch as it gets. Being a group that refers people who are struggling to treatment, we have had nothing but success with sending those in need to High Watch. The communication is outstanding and those we have sent always have great things to say about the care they received and how much deeper into the wounds High Watch goes than other facilities. We are given timely, regular updates and also our members are given an after care plan to help assist them in their recovery journey. Not to mention how warm and welcoming the facility itself is, which is a big deal when you are uprooting someone from their typical life and placing them into a facility for upwards of a month or more. Every staff member has been beyond pleasant and has the experience needed to assist those into recovery. Allan has been a godsend to our members and our organization, as we always know with his assistance, our members will receive the best care and quickly. They certainly make you feel like you are a part of their family. If we could give more stars, we certainly would. We unequivocally recommend High Watch Recovery Center.

I had the most wonderful, life changing experience with High Watch. It started with my very first phone call when I called hysterically crying. I was desperate and scared. The woman on the phone was so empathetic and compassionate and truly helped me to make this life changing decision. My plan was begrudgingly 30 days. At 30 days I knew I needed more. There was so much more to learn and relearn. I needed more confidence and guidance before leaving the hill of Hope. I enthusiastically ended up staying for over three months and luckily was able to participate in the incredible extended program which was the icing on the cake for me. Not only are the grounds scenic and sacred but they are impeccably clean and welcoming. The Dr.’s, therapists and milieu were all amazing. I truly felt a connection with almost every staff, and took something away from each one of them. I think of all the courageous and strong humans on the hill often, and with a smile, knowing once upon a time I was able to be in that serene and safe space – Nothing to worry about except myself and my recovery. High Watch has also been sponsoring our co-ed softball leagues the last couple years! It’s so important to stay connected to my tribe and this has proven to be a perfect way to motivate me. CCR was unbelievably welcoming and rewarding. I stayed for 38 days and couldn’t ask for more. The facilities are clean and the staff was extraordinary. The clinicians were first class and the moments of clarity were profound. Connecticut Center for Recovery literally saved my life. The staff truly care about the clients in which they serve and to me that means and says a lot. For who I have become today, my new journey toward a better life began at MountainSide. All of the amenities, activities, and staff members(well, most of them) made it worthwhile. Time felt like forever there but also went by very fast. I would recommend MountainSide in a heartbeat to anyone in need of turning their life around. The best thing about Mountainside is that the staff truly cares about their clients and just want to help. While there, I had many opportunities to interact with the different staff members and much of the advise they gave has stuck with me for years. On a separate note, the facilities and amenities are awesome! They offer so many wellness methods beyond just AA meetings, like acupuncture, meditation, yoga and hikes. I would definitely recommend Mountainside to anyone looking for a holistic approach to recovery.
