Intake Staff are the best. I’m a driver for one of the city’s drug treatment programs, Samaritan Inn. Processing the clients for placement is an essential component of the client’s first step to recovery. The Intake Staff make my job easier and I have yet to receive a parking ticket 😙😙.

I am thankful for Diana’s professionalism, skillfulness, and considerate attitude. She was my PT a year and half ago. I was pleased with her approach and treatment plan, which helped me to achieve my treatment goals to a considerable extent. And, this year, when I had to have another course of PT, I knew who I was going to approach for that.

I was injured with tendonitis in my knee and could not run and even had difficulty walking. I contacted the team NovaCare Rehabilitation – Dupont, MD and was treated by Benjamin Hayes and he solved my knee problem! He found the root cause of my injury and with his therapies and recommendations I recovered and now I can run and practice sports again! I highly recommend it!! Thank you team!! 🙂

Diana is a very helpful therapist. The facilities are clean and orderly. Nice experience overall, except for the parking 🙂

My knee surgery was August 31, 2018 (left knee, torn meniscus and cartilage repair), and now I’m continuing the work
at home. The entire staff, from the front desk (check-in), to the therapist are friendly, warm and calm spirited people. You will sing, laugh and talk about things that will occupy your mind other than your therapy session. For me, my sessions and PT, Darryl was great. Keep up the great work NovaCare!!!

The 19th street NovaCare is terrific! Drea has helped me so much with my TMJ, neck, and shoulder issues. PT exercises, stretches, and especially the dry needling have made an enormous difference in loosening the knots that have been around all year. I really appreciate Drea and the rest of the wonderful NovaCare team, and highly recommend them to anyone who has jaw issues or clenches their teeth at night.

I’ve only had 5 experiences with therapy in 4 different places, 2 experiences with the National Rehab Hospital were outstanding. The therapists are very knowledgeable and give you one to one therapy, they don’t leave you doing reps and not come back promptly. I definitely and highly recommend and have recommended to one individual that did go to the National Rehab Hospital and was satisfied. I’m sure there are many other places to get therapy but National Rehab Hospital is right up there with the best if not the best.

Judith Davidson is the best therapist that I have ever had. She explained everything to me that she was doing and why she was doing it. She answered all of my questions with a great deal of compassion. She made me feel very comfortable. t

I had one session following a mild stroke after surgery. I think it was a productive and informative session that went beyond addressing my speech problems to include issues of anxiety, memory, and nutrition. There was great interest, empathy, and professionalism from the therapist. The session has helped me move beyond the initial trauma from the stroke. I warmly recommend the service.

The experience was fantastic! I was in a high intensity program. Based on my health diagnosis and what I was doing when I arrived at NRH, I didn’t think the amount of days that they had allowed me would be sufficient. But, the team worked really hard and I went from not walking at all and not having feeling in my left side to walking on my own and climbing stairs. I am impressed and forever grateful.

Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience while in the care of this facility at all. The nurses and technicians are very rude and ghetto. My first full day and weekend there was a total NIGHTMARE and the technician that was assigned to my room whose name was Natasha R. was totally incompetent and rude. As a younger patient there, the staff seems to gaslight you and show favoritism towards the older patients, as they tend to not be able to defend themselves due to them being elderly and frail. There were only a few good nurses and technicians that I encountered but that was it, the worst place to recover in post surgery or a medical crisis. The food service folks were the nicest people and if you talk to them they will accommodate your meals based on your diet and special dietary needs. Last but not least, the nurse that was assigned to my room (Room #220) on 04/02/2022 on the morning/AM shift was completely HORRIBLE, WITH NO COMPASSION, VERY RUDE. She made the gentleman from the discharge ambulance services group wait an additional (45) minutes or so due to her refusing to listen to me and not having me ready to go by 10AM that day. It was completely UNORGANIZED, none of my medications were ready and I had to end up driving myself to my local pharmacy to pick them up, just about (2) weeks after having a major surgery. I was still taking a lot of medication for pain management, heavily medicated. I could have seriously injured myself and others on the road by being in that type of condition.

The occupational therapists were all nice but didn’t seem that experienced and novices. The physical therapist (Jack) that was assigned to me didn’t seem that experienced as well. He tended to be preoccupied with his cell phone, laptop, or what all of the other physical therapists were doing with their patients.

I give one star versus a (0) star for this rating due to the doctor that made sure that I had all of my medications placed in as soon as I was discharged home, Dr. Risvo. He is a very good young doctor and really cares for the patients during their stay at this CHAOTIC facility. He even called my mom to ensure that I had all of my prescriptions and everything, as soon as I was discharged from this disorganized facility.
