I was present for a conference. Unfortunately, the food was absolutely terrible. Breakfast, I requested vegetarian/vegan, I received eggs and barely cooked sausage – and I was told it would take 20 minutes for a vegetarian breakfast.
At our gala dinner, I was supposed to receive a vegetarian plate. I was told the same thing. Everyone had finished their dinner, and finally, a staff member said that I would have to wait 30 minutes for a vegetarian meal. After 15 minutes, she returned with a fatty beef dish, mashed potatoes, and carrots, and said, “this is all we have”
The grab and go lunch service lines were short, but it took the staff member almost 4 minutes to check each person out. I grabbed a slice of pizza… by the time I could eat it, it was cold and tasted bad.
The carpet in the main lobby smelled like sewage it seemed… it was awful, even with a mask on.
I was not pleased with this conference venue, however the hotel was okay. If you need a large space for a conference, the Sheraton has it, but dig into the details and logistics, and check for quality control during your event. I guarantee you, of the 800 people at this national event for educators, very few enjoyed the food.

If you’re looking for a convention center in Dallas TX, these are the 4 best. Each of these centers offer something unique that could be perfect for your next event.
My daughters cheer meet was here. Event was very well put together. Easy access in down town Dallas. Very nice facility. I wish they would have had some food options for breakfast, but other than that, very nice venue.
Really good car show. Facilities were nice, people friendly and exhibits well organized. Only negative is cost of parking ($20) and traffic.
Whatever kind of event you could dream of having. There is room here. This place depending on the size has the capability to host over 20 plus events at the same time. Plenty of great windows to view the city. Enjoyed everyday we was here.
Attended the Volleyball tournament here. A very nice facility and due to the enormous size of the tournament you didn’t have to walk far for a bathroom. Kudos to the bathroom, trash, and floor attendants they did a wonderful job keeping this clean all weekend long. The grounds in front of the center is really cool, check it out when you get the chance.
Went to my first FanExpo and absolutely loved it! Plenty of parking spaces although some are a little ways away. The assistants are very kind and helpful as well as communicative. The inside of the building is also amazing. They have stairs, ramps, escalators, and elevators so everyone has an option and way upstairs to the main area. Very well organized as well as great view of the city and plenty of seating areas.
