This is a great laundromat! All machines take cards and are not too bad on price. The attendants are very helpful and friendly. My first time here I forgot soap and the got me setup with some of theirs. I go here when others are closer but those other ones are more expensive and you need coins.
Update: If a machine ever fails they are great about setting me up with a machine that won’t and they pay for the time I had paid for on the broken one. Usually just a dryer that doesn’t dry and not very often.

Having to pay each time to use the driers for only 7 minutes of drying and still come out damp is ridiculous, I eventually just took my wet clothes elsewhere to dry because I was tired of wasting my time and money.By Owen Chambers (4 months ago)Lots of machines, alot of them don’t work . So far Burre is the best fit for me.Everyone who works here is super friendly and helpful.
I like to do two semi- large loads and I can wash and dry them for $8.80, which is cheaper than emerald city. Plus, I feel like it all takes less time than m.o.m. laundromat.
I like their industrial strength/size dryers. They dry things quickly and I can put a lot in them. They’re also pretty cheap at $0.35 per 7 mins.
I also like that they open early – so I can get my laundry out of the way and get on with my day.
Sometimes when I’m using the card swipe it won’t work, but the attendants are always so friendly and they quickly come and re- set the machine. Also, I’ve never been over charged.
The price labels on the machines are a little confusing, but it still ends up being cheaper than other places (for me, at least, with the loads I do).

Very clean and maintained. Lots of newer machines that run on a card system yo get there. Very easy to get card and use. Very helpful and happy younger staff. Patrons were younger and obvious surfers/campers. Very hip crowd for a laundromat. 😉 Soap and swag sold at counter. I caught this on three separate occasions. Called them out once and without hesitation they refunded me. They recently did it again. I always check my card amount before and after use. Plus it’s the cleanest in Arcata. I used to wash here when I lived in Arcata years ago. I also didn’t have to buy a $4 card, I paid the cashier and she used a card to start my loads for me.
When I lived in Arcata years ago and washed here, I never had a bad experience. Emerald City Laundry will always be my go to place to get my clothes cleaned.

Dear Owner I have been doing my laundry at your store for years. It is so sad to see it going downhill. There are currently only 11 working dryers out of 23,15 front load washers working out of 26. No hot water either. Really? You are discouraging your clients from coming and you’re throughput revenue is diminished. Please do something.
this place may not be the best as far as being new and up to date. (I don’t know how the owner makes money) but they do have everything you need in a laundromat. There is an attendant on duty all the time. They actually have free dry there. To me that’s a big deal.
Never seen such a dirty laundromat, it’s filthy! I don’t think it was ever cleaned! If I wasn’t on a road trip and ran out of clean clothes I would never wash here. Most machines don’t work AND it’s expensive!!!
LOCAL CONTRACTORS BEWARE! Don’t do work for this business they will not pay you. They will make useless promises. I have been scammed by them twice now.
I am a local cleaning contractor that did some work for this business. The owners have avoided all our phone calls about there past-due invoices.
The washers work fine, but half of them are out of order. And there are even more dryers that don’t work. It’s such an issue because when I’m done washing, there are no open dryers because the few that do work are taken, so I’m forced to stand around and wait for a dryer to open. The owners need to invest money into repairing their machines.
