I had a bathroom issue with the drain and took 3 nights for it to get solved. I had to request the maintenance request twice. I was able to shower with no issue the last night and morning of check out.
Rooms are really old but to be expected for lots of embassy suites. No issues with sound so I was able to sleep great. Breakfast was good as well! The reception and ground floor looks amazing. Now they just need to update the rooms! Also was strange that you have to request housekeeping for every night you want your room cleaned if it’s less than a 4 night stay.
By Derek Vela (5 months ago)Nice facility. Standard amenities. Pool, 24hr gym. Easy to reserve and check-in. Upon check-in we will we see each given a premium goody bag with an abundance of snacks, 2 water bottles, 4 soft drinks and a few power bars. The rooms and common areas are well cared for and sanitized. Great stay, but was disappointed upon checkout 😞 hence 3-stars. Noticed on the bill that we had a $5 charge for “Telephone.” We didn’t use the phone or even touch the phone. It took 3 calls to get someone to tell me what the charge was for. It seems the facility charges $5/day per car. ??? Really guys? There’s no parking deck, there is adequate space? But $5? I would have rather paid $174 for the room than $169 & I would have felt better. But I can’t fathom $5 for parking away for downtown. Just another income stream. Why not charge $2 for the hair dryer and ironing board in the room while you are at it? Oh and interesting fact that I found out was the parking is listed under telephone charge as they can’t get their software company to change the print out. Oh and they said that they’ve been charging for parking for 4yrs. On other good notes, the breakfast was good and tasty – and no fees for using cups for milk and orange juice. Nice visit and stay, but feel used for $5 bucks. May try the Hilton across I-385 next time.By Keith Cooper (4 months ago)I stayed her on a business trip. Every person at the hotel was extremely nice and cordial. The breakfast was very very good. My salmon dinner in the restaurant was so so good. The dinner waitress took.her time to talk with me as I was alone at the table. The breakfast worker came out of her way to say “Happy Valentines Day” as I was there 2/14/23. The room was clean and really nice. I enjoyed all the space I had. It was just a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend!By Rhonda Gibson (3 weeks ago)I stayed here for about a week for a work trip. The hotel and rooms were clean and spacious. The main courtyard area was updated and inviting with many comfortable spaces to eat and work. The grounds are beautiful with big trees and a somewhat secluded feel, while still being close to businesses. I also greatly appreciated the on-site electric car charging abilities.Cons include that the rooms were outdated and the air conditioning system could use some attention. I was in a room close to the elevators, which I believe made loud echoing noise into the late night/early morning hours. That was difficult for quality sleep.
The biggest positive, however, of the hotel (and why I would recommend and also come back) is the staff. Every person I met was so kind, helpful, and attentive. Huge thanks to Craig at the omelet bar. He really made the breakfast experience. He was so kind, genuine, personable, cheery, and just great. He also made the best omelets.
By Sarah Passey (4 months ago)Overall, this is a great Embassy Suites. They take pride in their facility, and it shows. They also have such personable staff. Not one person we met was not friendly and welcoming.
They even go a little over expectation and offer adult swimming hours from 10 p.m.-12a.m.
The only criticism I have is that the bed was not comfortable, and the room was a bit warm for my liking. I did wake up a couple of times in the night from those two things.
Breakfast was exactly what I have come to expect from the Embassy chain as well.
All in all, it was a great value, and we will look at this hotel again next time we are here.By Jena Thomas (3 months ago)

Great location, friendly staff, great amenities on site – restaurant, bar with out door seating etc. When we got to the room there was no soap or hairdryer. When we went to bed the sheets were so bad that it felt like there was sand in the bed. (Pills) sheets were very worn. Told the front desk in the morning and they did rectify the issue so the second night was more pleasant. I would recommend but check the room before you need to use items.By Debbie Chasse (6 months ago)Went for a wedding. The place was really clean, fully bilingual which was amazing, service was great from check in to check out. The only problem that we had was the setup of the ADA Room (the bathroom was good, though it needs another drain system in the middle of it), it wasnt comfortable to move around in a wheelchairBy Rahe Freytes (4 months ago)Really nice hotel but sat down for breakfast (nothing special, eggs, bagels, pastries,…) and was slapped with a $40 check for two. There’s no signs that the breakfast is not free.
Update: I paid for breakfast using a personal CC since the hotel was paid using a business account. My invoice for the stay included the breakfast in error. I asked for this to be removed but Yolanda at the front desk said she did not have a way to check receipts and I would have to call Hilton. After raising her voice at me and calling me “Mr. Hernandez” she pulled out an envelope full of receipts marked “breakfast 2/24” and finally went through them. Finally, she took the charge off but that was a horrible customer service experience.
By Carlos Avalos (2 weeks ago)Nice rooms…comfy bed….beautiful lobby. The outside of hotel looks a little dated but don’t let that be off putting. Nice location and even has an executive lounge.By Jerry Lewis (3 months ago)Very luxurious rooms. Almost every imaginable amenity that you could think of, but too expensive for my personal budget. If my room had not been purchased for me I would have chosen a more reasonably priced establishment. Also, the shower in my room looked absolutely amazing. It’s just too bad that it didn’t come with instructions to turn it on – I wasn’t able to make any use of it.

The Regency very nice, clean, and safe. My husband and I enjoyed our alone time together. The breakfast was awesome and Valet service was very nice. Great service and The Hyatt Regency is across from the Comedy Zone and other eateries and shopping. This is a perfect date night no brainer for husband. Here you go guys. All day fun date and night. Good luck 🍀
I am a loyal member of Hyatt. It’s the second time I stayed here.
Cons and pros:
The hotel hallways smells bad.
The room is not very clean and smell weird, the sofa is filthy.
The wall is thin and I can hear people talking in the hallways, especially the house keepers talking and laughing loudly.
My room (king bed) doesn’t have chrome cast on TV.
The lobby looks good.
The location is convenient and the staff are friendly.
The bathroom looks clean.
The bed is comfortable.
My husband and I chose to stay here for our anniversary getaway. We were between a few hotels and chose this one for the panoramic suite. A few things I wish I knew before I spent that kind of money on this room. First: the view we had was of the parking garage and the valet parking lot. Second: the bedding on our bed felt like plastic. Not comfortable at all. Third: you have to pay for parking in the garage next door. Lastly, and this could have been just one person, but I had an issue with room service not showing up and when I called to ask about it, the person I spoke to had no idea how to assist me and finally just gave the phone to another person.
Overall the stay was fine and I enjoyed my time with my husband. However I can have a fine stay at any hotel. Just wanted to share my thoughts for anyone else who may be looking for a really nice hotel in GVL for a special occasion, I wouldn’t choose this one again.
Very nice location. Spacious rooms – bathrooms are a bit small tho. Had to go to the front desk not once but twice. Our room had not been cleaned to our liking. Had crumbs on the sofa and floor and a stain on the ottoman. But what took the cake was there was a 1/2 full bottle of hotel supplied scope mouthwash in the bathroom. The front desk sent a housekeeping supervisor to the room, but upon coming back to the room, the crumbs were still there and we noticed something smeared on the tables. Contacted the front desk and they sent housekeeping back up and did a thorough cleaning to our expectations. Foe our trouble the front desk did provide us a complimentary breakfast for us. Was disappointed in a hotel of this level having a room not properly cleaned but they did correct the issues.
This place is absolutely gorgeous! Check-in was prompt and friendly and helpful with directions for event. The room is to die for! You’ll see from the pics. The beds are so comfy and lots of pillows! Nice little see through fridge and office area. They truly thought of everything! Even a separate mirror in the bathroom that zooms in! Oh also sensor lights at the foot of the bed that come on when you put your feet on the floor! I never slept so good!!! Oh I almost forgot pocket doors to the bathroom and an awesome gym! See pics
